My partner has been resident since early March, with an intervening month long absence in hospital. Her family and I are delighted to have discovered Vale View Heights. Members of the staff often go above and beyond the call of duty. It's not unusual to see them step beyond their formal roles to just respond to whatever needs to be done regardless of whether or not it's their job. As well as awarding high scores for all the aspects set out below, we sense this is also a community of love and kindness. No-one could want for more.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. Your kind words mean a great deal to our team, and we're delighted that you and your family felt so well supported. Creating a caring and compassionate community is at the heart of everything we do, and we're honoured to have been part of your partner's journey.
Mum was at Vale View Heights for 2 months. The staff were incredibally caring and kind and the management were helpful/excellent. The only thing I can fault is the time it took to answer a call bell when mum needed the loo, but that would have been staff shortages - and not the carers fault. The food was very good. The grounds were beautiful.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for your kind words about our team. We're so pleased to hear that your mum was cared for with kindness and compassion, and that you found our management team helpful. It's also lovely to know she enjoyed the food and our beautiful...
My mother in law came to Vale View Heights for palliative nursing care on a two week respite period, but after only four days decided that it was perfect for her and is now a permanent resident. The nurses, carers and all the staff are so friendly, compassionate and welcoming. The management of the home is excellent and we now have peace of mind that my mother in law's health issues will be addressed quickly and she will be given 24 hour care. The home is set in peaceful surroundings, giving a calm and relaxing atmosphere. It's clean and bright and residents are able to bring their own furniture and personal belongings into their room to give a homely and comforting feel. We are very happy that she has settled in so well and so quickly.
Welcomed I entered the home, shown to friends room then offered a cup of tea and cake. Excellent care. Staff were caring and excellent I even recognised another patient who was a work colleague of my husbands the carer stopped and let me chat to the patient and said I would call on him again. Excellent care. Lovely home.
We knew as soon as we met the home manager at Vale View Heights and all the staff, that mum would receive the best care - which she did! Everyone there is kind, compassionate and caring. They are experienced and skilled in what they do, co-ordinating with doctors and the NHS as required. The room was bright and airy with ensuite and the food was outstanding.
I am glad that my mum came here. She has been looked after well. However, I have found it very difficult to contact my mum by phone as I live 4 hours away from the home. My sister who is nearby, is able to visit. Surely it must be possible to have a phone or laptop that residents can use to contact those members of their family who are far away from the home. Very disappointing.
Was diagnosed with dementia four or five years ago
I looked after her for two years but couldn't deal with personal care
Tried personal care help but after a few visits didn't work
Vale view came to my rescue
The careful approach of each member of staff
They look after her very well
She has been with them for two years now
Best thing ever !! I visit regularly
Very good experience every time

I have nothing but the highest respect and admiration for the patience and kindness displayed by the management and staff undertaking this very difficult work.
My 92 year old mother was a resident at Vale View Heights for almost 6 months and we were very happy with the care offered by staff and management. My mother had dementia and the care she was given was thoughtful and kind. The food and activities on offer were varied and of good quality. Ultimately my mother's health declined and she passed away peacefully in the home with me by her side.
We are deeply sorry for your loss.
With deepest sympathy,
The Vale View Heights Team
My Dad moved to Vale View heights for end of life care this year. I wanted to express my heartfelt thanks for everything that the vale view heights team did for my Dad. His case was far from straight forward but the team always cared for him with kindness and dignity in his last few weeks. The whole team lead with compassion and that gave us great comfort in an extraordinarily difficult time. I would like to also highlight how wonderful and accommodating Avril the chef was with supporting us with Dads ever changing food schedule.
Your kind words mean a lot to us.
Warm regards,
The Vale View Heights Team
When I first walked through the entrance door, I felt I had entered a loving home. Yes, it is a care home, but it is so much more because of the loving care given by all the staff and the practical involvement by the management. After a very short time, I felt settled and part of the "family" and most importantly, content with where I lived. Yes, there are compromises in a lifestyle to accept, and no place can be perfect, but these things are more than compensated for by the atmosphere of a "family" home.
I was very impressed with the care that he consistently received.
All members of staff showed compassion. They treated him with dignity and care at all times. They always smiled and showed a genuine interest in my friend and his family.
I look forward to my return to see these lovely staff.
My 92 year old mum moved to Vale View Heights in June, following a fall that left her with a broken arm, head injury and the inability to walk. Two months later, the staff at Vale View have cared and actively provided rehabilitation for my mum. She is now walking and enjoying life again. Thank you so much! The leadership at Vale View is fantastic, they know everything that goes on with every person.
My father came to Vale View Heights initially on a temporary placement following a period in hospital. However, as he was happy and content in the home and his needs required it, his placement became permanent. The staff at the home are very caring and helpful and treat the residents with dignity. While dad was unable to join in the all the activities towards the end of his time, these also were interested and varied.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're truly grateful for your appreciation of our staff-it means a great deal to know their care and dedication made a positive difference. It's also lovely to hear that the activities were enjoyed, even if only in part towards the end of your dad's time with...
Both of my parents (& myself & partner) are really well supported by every member of staff at Vale View. Dad has dementia & attends day care once a week. Mum has recently transferred into the care of Vale View from hospital following a fall. As she is very frail & requires palliative care, she was sadly unable to return to our family home. Dad receives excellent care & love from everybody. The day a week supports our whole family & makes a huge difference to myself & my partner too, allowing us a few hours a week of quality time safe in the knowledge that dad is being well cared for. Mum is also receiving loving & compassionate care from everybody at Vale View, which is an enormous relief for me. She seems very comfortable & looks a different person from the 'patient' who transferred from hospital. It is difficult to put into words my appreciation of the support, care & warmth offered by every member of staff for my whole family. 10/10 Thank you for welcoming us into your family.
We sincerely appreciate your feedback. Its truly encouraging, and we'll make sure to share it with the team while striving to exceed expectations moving forward.
My wife was looked after with absolute care and dignity while I had a respite break. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Vale View Heights to anyone.
Mum was here less than 12 years in end of life care but I can't fault the welcome we and she received. Every member of staff of all grades was very friendly and went over and above in everything. Thank you so much we really appreciate it.
My mother has just arrived at Vale View Heights for care due to dementia. Such an amazing place. The staff couldn't be kinder and so caring. Nothing is too much for them. Mum is happy, smiling and feeling at home, enjoying the wonderful activities fabulous food and the caring that is offered. Thank you to all the staff and management for all your dedication, care and love you give to all.
We were very pleased with the care and consideration shown to my cousin during his three-and-a-half years in your care. He was well-fed, clean and entertained to the level which suited his dementia. His room was light and airy overlooking the garden. On the downside the carpet was very stained and dirty looking, not at all hygienic. The other complaint does not refer to Vale View Heights. My cousin was paying for full nursing care and a good room at considerable cost. You would not however deduct his NHS contribution from his fees so in effect he was being overcharged. Not good.
My wife was only there for two months. She seemed happy and was looked after very well. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
