When I arrived on 15th September 2017, I was pleasantly surprised by the standard. The bed was good and I was impressed by the tablet service. I was used to taking them from the dispenser.

Hart Care is a good place to be.

I have found the staff to be friendly and easy to talk to, home is always clean, warm and welcoming.
My mum enjoys the food provided.

The general care my mum receives following her stroke has been really good, due to my mum's lack of communication they have been able to find out what is the matter/What she wants.

Hart Care have shown great flexibility for a personalised approach to my fathers care
It is this partnership between the home and the family that sets Hart Care apart. The staff and courteous and caring towards both residents, friends and families. We have been given the freedom to create a homely atmosphere in my father's room and an adjacent exterior area. This allows for a pleasant atmosphere for both residents and crucially their visitors. As such, I believe it has helped my father maintain relationships within the inevitable, institutional framework. On a more practical note, the catering and housekeeping seem to be excellent and my father has put on weight

since his arrival and always has a good supply of beautifully ironed clean shirts. Under the difficult circumstances of his current health we all very much hope my father will be continue to be able to spend his last years within the peaceful surroundings of Ravenscroft, Hart Care. Highly recommended.

My dad has only been here for a short period of time but in that time he has become a different person. He is forever smiling and laughing and even singing. The care that he has received has been amazing, and every single member of staff takes the time to speak to us and to learn even more about him. He is treated as an actual "person", which it has to be said, can be lacking in a lot of homes.

I find the communication between staff members to be faultless. Within minutes, it would seem that any changes, have been passed to all staff members and are acted upon. A caring nature emanates from every member of staff and I just wish that their ethos could be carried through to every other care home. I hope that in the future, I will be able to come back and update my review because I have a feeling that as time goes by, I will have a lot more "great" things to say about this home. The other residents/families are just so lovely and it is just like being part of one huge family.

I have been a resident for about 8 weeks and have to say I feel at home here.
The staff are very kind and the grounds are an added bonus as I loved my garden where I used to live.

The Management, Nursing and Staff members were professional, attentive and caring to my Great Aunt. When she passed away they were very supportive to our family. They all, in my opinion, give it a happy, homely feel. The home itself has been refurbished in some areas but could do with more updating, particularly in the bathrooms and en-suites.

My husband was only at Hart Care Ravenscroft for the last 3 weeks of his life, but the care he received was excellent. They treated him with dignity and love and nothing was too much trouble.

They also gave me a lot of support during that time, if I needed a hug or a chat they were there for me. I would recommend this nursing home to anyone.

My father requires 24-hour care and presents the staff at Hart Care with a complex range of medical issues and communication difficulties. However, he has always been treated with great respect, kindness and patience and when acute medical episodes have occurred, he has received excellent clinical care. The management are very committed to providing a happy, stimulating and inclusive environment whilst respecting the individual preferences of residents. They welcome feedback and have always encouraged the sharing of any concerns which they are prompt to act upon.

Hart Care staff are almost universally friendly and respectful to my parents. When there has been a problem there is a process for reporting this and action is taken.
There have been issues over internal communication between staff which have been frustrating but none of these has led to any major problems.
As a GP myself I do feel the staff need updating with regard to the Deprivation of Liberties Safeguards /Mental Capacity Act. My mother who has capacity requested on one occasion to see a GP, however, the nurse on duty made a decision this was not appropriate.

On occasions, my mother who is prone to falls has not received sufficient monitoring when washing/dressing in the morning.

My mother has been a resident at Hart Care for nearly four years. All the staff are excellent and very caring and the home is always spotlessly clean and we'll maintained.
Families are kept well informed about any changes which occur and if ever any issues arise which I am not happy about these are dealt with efficiently and swiftly.

Patients needs are well catered for by visiting personnel eg hairdressers etc.

Although I have no experience of fees charged by similar homes, through conversations I have had with other people the fees at Hart Care seem to be very reasonable

I would have no hesitation in recommending Hart Care in fact I have done so on several occasions.
