around, and we were offered tea.Arrangements were made for us to sit beside our relative. Our relative was alert and seemed very settled. We did pick our time to avoid mealtimes. The general atmosphere was helpful
and we were impressed by the organisation of several residents in the day room. Our relative was a only
a short time resident, hence some items below are difficult to assess.
Thank you for your review of Redmount Residential Home, I am pleased to hear you were treated with courtesy by the staff team. We welcome and encourage visitors to visit their loved ones and will always go the extra mile to support these visits. I am glad your relative was settled at Redmount. All the best.
For the last six months of my husbands life he was confined to his bed and they looked after his every need.
I also found them very kind and understanding towards me.
Thank you for this review, it was a pleasure looking after your dear husband and we miss him a lot. We also loved seeing you & Pickle most days. If you are ever around and want to pop In please do so, it would be lovely to see you.
My mother has been extremely well looked after since she came to stay in October 2024. The staff are very attentive and have met all of mum's complex needs. She has lovely friends that have helped her to settle in. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much for a lovely review, I am glad you are happy with the care we provide for your Mum, we continually strive for perfection and these reviews really do help us to improve. Your Mum is a pleasure to look after.
Excellent service during a difficult time. All problems addressed and solved. Staff very caring. Food very good. All services are available, eg dentist, optician, foot care, entertainment etc. Mum's quality of life and welfare has improved since living at Redmount, can't ask for more really!
Thank you so much for your review of Redmount Residential Home. Our staff work extremely hard to provide a good quality off care and it's great to see we have met your expectations. We love looking after your Mum and are glad we could help during a difficult time. I'm always available if you need me.
Both my parents are in Redmount and they are so happy and settled they have a lovely room together and from day 1 we have noticed the difference in them. The staff and management are amazing so friendly and helpful, they take extremely good care in all aspects of care, mum is totally disabled and Dad has Alzheimer's the care they both receive is brilliant, they love the food as well.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of Redmount Residential Home, it means a lot to me and my team to hear such lovely feedback, the team work so hard to ensure loved ones get the best care possible and it is good to know we are meeting your expectations. We love looking after your Mum & Dad.
As a dementia sufferer my Mum arrived at Redmount December 2023. Her stay at Redmount was lovely. She was well cared for and the staff wonderful, especially at the end of her stay. A big thank you to all concerned.
Thank you for such a lovely review and top scores this means a lot to me and my team. It was a pleasure looking after your Mum & we all miss her very much. I am so happy you were satisfied with the care your Mum received. Take care.
My mum stayed at Redmount for 3 months following stroke and heart attack. I visited 4 hours daily to support recovery so witnessed many of care home's practices. Poor food quality, someone worked hard to suit needs but before complaining mum was often served spaghetti hoops and oily potato waffles. Mum's rehabilitation needs frequently not met, staff not briefed on positioning and equipment use. Approx 30 mins wait for call bell response and staff often hard to find. Found mum's medication on bed or floor, implying staff weren't always ensuring she'd taken it. Found mum in underwear on chair, end of her bed or more frequently out of reach of her call bell, she is immobile and non-verbal so this is so dangerous and unacceptable. Care staff are supportive but from our experience there are either too many residents or not enough staff. Wide disparity across staff's care abilities and training. Home isn't well managed/led. Wouldn't recommend particularly for residents with high needs.
Thank you for your review of Redmount Residential Home, we welcome all feedback positive or negative as it helps us improve the service we provide. I am sorry that on this occasion you feel we did not meet our usual high standards evidenced in our other reviews and CQC report. Me and my team tried...
My mum has been at Redmount for nearly 3 years now and I can't recommend them enough, from the management to the care staff and all other staff involved. Everyone is extremely kind patient caring and professional and my mum has been very well looked after so thank you to all involved.
Thank you for your glowing review of Redmount, I am pleased to hear you are happy with the care your Mum receives. Positive reviews like this really motivate our staff and ensure we are providing a good service.
Many thanks from Mum and me.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind review about Redmount, your words mean an awful lot to me and the team, it was a pleasure to look after your Mum. We wish you both the very best, please keep in touch.
I love the fact that I can see all the activities that happen at the home - there is something for all, it's great that the routines they install keeps the residents stimulated and entertained.
Whilst I hate the fact that my grandad is no longer able to look after himself, he is definitely in the next best place available and I am so grateful to the staff for their ongoing care and support. Well done and thank you team Redmount.
We will always do our very best to look after your Grandfather. Our whole staff team works very hard to ensure people feel safe and comfortable in their surroundings, and it is a huge boost to read your heartfelt review and also to receive full marks. Thank you.
Friendly and efficient staff. My sister is well looked after.
Thank you for your review, we love looking after your sister.

Thank you for a glowing review, it's a pleasure to look after your dad here at Redmount. I will be sure to pass your compliments to the team.
A pleasant home with excellent staff and management. Immaculately clean with a good outside area. Visiting is encouraged at all suitable times as is discussion with the manager and staff. Very good feedback My father was moved into Redmount directly from the hospital and we hope he will be able to remain there as his home from now on. Parking is difficult due to lack of space. Not rated activities and as of yet not discussed finances. Overall excellent!
Thank you for your positive review of Redmount, I will be sure to pass this on to the staff who work so hard to look after our lovely residents.
I have found the home and staff very friendly and helpful. My mother and father-in-law are very happy there and comfortable. They also love the food. They feel safe and secure at Redmount, couldn’t ask for more.
Thank you so much for a glowing review, it is a pleasure caring for your family members.
Staff are very helpful and friendly.
Rooms are cosy and well-equipped.
The sun room is lovely.
Thank you for your lovely review, I will pass these compliments on to our staff team.
Dad initially went to Redmount for respite care but stayed until he passed away. I have nothing but admiration and praise for every single member of staff, from handyman to manager. They all knew me by name and were always willing to answer questions. They treated Dad as they would their own family. The kitchen and domestic staff are all excellent, too, knowing all the resident's individual likes/dislikes. The manager is running an excellent care facility.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, and thank you for allowing us the time we had with him. It was an absolute honour to have your dad stay with us until he passed away; the whole team miss him every day. His humour and character will never be forgotten.
This home is a very clean and tidy home. The staff are amazing and they work well as a team. They have activities which is good for the residents I am happy with each and every single week.
Thank you for this lovely review, I will make sure this feedback is passed over to our staff who all work so hard. Best wishes Sue.
I cannot speak kindly enough about the care and kindness of the staff. However the home does sometimes appear to be understaffed. The food is good and they always accommodate fussy eaters. Everyone worked hard to make life as easy and comfortable as possible despite the difficulties of working in a building which is not purpose built as a care home.
Thank you so much for your review, the staff work so hard to ensure that our residents are receiving the best care possible. Looking after your mum is an absolute pleasure and makes our jobs so much easier. Sometimes it may seem that we are understaffed because we try to give residents space with...

Meet the Team (1)

I have worked in health and social care for many years, supporting various types of people. Most recently, I started working at Redmount Residential Home, where my team are passionate about providing person-centred care which is responsive and inclusive. I believe residents should be at the heart of everything we do, and we work hard to develop an open culture where residents, friends and families are involved in people's care.
