Firstly, please may I offer my condolences for the sad loss of your Dad earlier this year. It is really nice to read that your Dad was happy during his almost 2 years at Woodhayes and enjoyed the company, activities, garden and food. It's also lovely to read that you were kept informed by our care team and that you were confident that Dad received excellent care. Thank you for your recommendation of Woodhayes. We have an excellent team there, and they will be really happy to read your kind words. Kindest regards

I am really sorry to learn of the passing of your dear Mum, our best wishes are with you and your family at this difficult time. Thank you for sparing the time to write and leave this really lovely review of your mum's time spent living at our Woodhayes Nursing Home in Exeter. It's lovely to read that she loved the beautiful gardens, our care team members and the never ending tea pot:) I know our Care and Nursing Team at Woodhayes will be greatly moved by your kind words - thank you again for writing them. Kindest regards
Thank you for taking the time to leave this positive review of your experience with our Care and Nursing Team at our Woodhayes Care and Nursing Home in Exeter, Devon. It's lovely to read that you find Woodhayes to be well organised and clean and that your mum is well taken care of. I note, of course, the comment about staff shortages. I am surprised to read this, I know we are only recruiting for a Activities Coordinator at the moment, all others roles being filled - and that we have good working relationships with three staffing agencies who can almost always provide us short term cover should we have unplanned sickness / absence amongst the team. There should be hardly any occasions where we are running short staffed. Please do speak to the Care Home Manager if you have any concerns at any time. Kindest regards.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this really positive review of your experience, and more importantly that of your mum, with our Care and Nursing Team at our Woodhayes Care and Nursing Home in Exeter. I think we can all empathise greatly with how you mum was feeling when it became clear that she would have to go to a nursing home following her stay in hospital. She probably just wanted to get home and 'back to normal' - we see this a lot (of course). But we also see a lot exactly your mums experience having arrived at the nursing home - lovely staff, well cared for, food, daily chores all taken care of etc. And, most importantly, always somebody on hand to help or just have a chat with. It's lovely to read that your mum appears to have settled in well and that you and your family are always made welcome as well:) Kindest regards.
Hello Hilary P. Firstly, please allow me to convey my sympathies for your recent loss. It's really lovely to read that our care team have been brilliant during the past 13 months whilst your mum has been a resident and especially during the last week of her life. I know the manager and her team will be really grateful for your kind words and feedback. Kindest regards
Good afternoon RF. I have to say, I get where you are coming from. The real quality of a care home is with the team of people working in it. That being said we do, of course, spend a lot of time (and money) on continually maintaining and updating all of our care home buildings and facilities. Woodhayes is a lovely old building (three former townhouses joined into one) which enables it to retain that family / homely atmosphere. Thank you, of course, for highlighting our excellent Care and Nursing Team - your kind words will be greatly appreciated by them. Thank you again.
Thank you for this very kind and insightful feedback relating to your experience, and importantly your Dad's experience, at our Nursing Home at Woodhayes in Exeter. Thank you for highlighting the kindness and patience of our Care and Nursing Team - I know Gill and her team will really appreciate that kind feedback. We hear what you say about the building - we purchased Woodhayes towards the end of Covid and lockdowns so have not been able to get as much done as we would have liked, we've focussed heavily upon regulatory work with regards to the building (fire regs etc) and outside painting and repairs. We have refurbished several residents' rooms and now have quotes in for decorating the corridors and resident lounge areas - it's going to look lovely. Thank you again for your kind feedback. Nathan.

Good morning SM. Thank you for leaving this review of your experience living at our Woodhayes Nursing Home in Exeter. It's always really nice when we see reviews posted by our residents as, after all, who else can know the home better? It's great that you have experienced very good care, comfort and respect and, indeed, that's fundamental to what we do. But, we all want to be able to have a joke and a laugh - and it's great that you are doing just that with our care team members. Care homes are communities - and it's always really great when we have people around who are confident and outgoing and get the atmosphere going - sounds like you're one of them! Thank you, it brightens eveybody's day! Kindest regards.
