From the time my father went into Furzehatt, he has been treated with brilliant care and dignity. The staff know each resident well, the likes and dislikes and treat them accordingly. Each staff member knows their role but will, when necessary cover any task needed. The manager's door is always open and she is always prepared to listen. The food is prepared beautifully by fully trained chefs and presented well. Overall I am very pleased with the choice of Furzehatt for my very elderly father's care.

My father was here for four months until he passed away and he had the best possible care. The Nursing Home is light and airy and very modern but homely, the staff are absolutely wonderful and so caring. The standard of care is second to none, my father was always washed, shaved and wearing clean clothes every day, the food is superb and beautifully presented and there is always something going on e.g entertainment and activities. There is a resident dog, cat and budgies and the staff are familiar with each resident. As my father came to the end he was treated with tremendous dignity and respect and the very capable and well-trained Nurses were just so gentle with him treating him as they would if he were their own father. I cannot praise this place highly enough, it is well managed and the staff are well trained and professional and extremely efficient.

My wife has always been extremely well cared for during the four years as a resident. I have suggested the home to at least three people.

Really can't praise the staff enough for the care and kindness shown to my wife in her last days of dementia. She was only at Furzehatt Residential and Nursing Home a short period but she was well looked after each day. The staff were fantastic with the family on the days leading up to her passing, we were given tea and sandwiches to see us through the night. I cannot thank them enough, great care and compassion shown to my wife.

I had to go with my husband to Furzehatt Residential and Nursing Home as a medical crisis and was dreading it, but I was amazed on arrival to be welcomed by three staff members, welcoming us and immediately putting us at ease. Their care, sensitivity was amazing for the week my husband survived he was cared for in every way and our family were reassured and made welcome at every visit. It was wonderful to have my husband's last hours together in such a caring place. Staff sensitivity provided us with drinks, sandwiches or a meal without being asked, if my husband had lived longer we would have been thankful he was in Furzehatt Residential and Nursing Home

From the first time we walked in unannounced we were happy with choice of home for dad. He was cared for very well with dignity. They also showed great compassion and support for both myself, step mother and family. I would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you all.

Fab staff, lovely and friendly. Mum loved all staff. Had to move her only due to distance from family, otherwise wouldn't have moved her. Highly recommended.

All the staff that I met over the 5 weeks she was in the home, were most kind and considerate tot he patient and to all the family members who attended visits, we were always greeted with an update on her condition and asked if we would like a refreshment. I cannot speak more highly of the attention to detail.

I have enjoyed my stay. Food is excellent, good enough for a hotel. No complaints. I have been a resident in a few care homes and in my opinion this is one of the best in Plymouth.

very impressed by the home where my sister has been for five years. The staff are friendly and helpful. I spoke to the nurse about my sisters long term care and was given a full and honest account. I have come along way to see her (from Norwich to Plymouth) and very reassured by the care.

I work with my team to assist and care for our residents, to ensure their health and wellbeing needs are met. I have a very varied role and no day is ever the same.

I enjoy spending as much time with our residents as I possibly can and seeing them smile and enjoy their time with us, is so heart-warming.
