My husband received care given beyond the call of duty especially as it was the virus "lockdown period". He was treated with respect, dignity, friendliness and always humour as was I, in all my times visiting. I was kept informed of his progress and always made welcome, I owe you all a big debt of thanks.

My father entered Furzehatt Nursing Home in October 2019 where he was treated with the utmost respect and dignity until he passed away on November 2nd. The staff are kind, caring, informative and work well together as a great team giving a welcoming and helpful family atmosphere. All medical needs were delivered promptly, ensuring my father passed away pain-free for which I thank them and all the other staff. They made things as comfortable as possible for not only him but also family members, who were there on a daily basis. I would have no hesitation in recommending Furzehatt to anyone. Thank you all for everything you have done.

The care my mother-in-law received was such that she was happy and free from pain in a well cared for environment. The staff are all very kind and caring, always willing to go the extra mile to help. The family were kept very well informed of any changes or medical needs as they arose. My mother-in-law passed away on the 26th of August but her care to the very end was as good as anyone could wish for. The family all have said Furzehatt is a good place.

A fantastic home. They have helped my father rehabilitate so he can go home. They did not rush him or force him to go home sooner than he was ready like the hospital tried to do. They were kind, caring, and thoughtful. They supported Dad to complete his physio every day, even when he was feeling down and low. They made all the family feel welcome.

We looked at several local care homes before deciding upon Furzehatt. The place was spotless and the staff were amazing. They made great efforts to make us feel welcome and got to know their residents really well. No one was breathing down their necks when took quality time to engage with residents and within a very short period of time, everyone got to know my father's name and needs. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

My mother and father moved in together when my father was seriously ill and my mother was suffering from dementia. The staff were extremely caring to my father until he died, treating him with dignity. They continue to care for my mother in a sensitive and caring way. The staff work hard to engage with the residents and meet their requests in terms of food etc. I find the atmosphere in this home friendly and positive.

When we were told we had to put my dad in a care home we were distraught, but from the second we stepped into Furzehatt Residential and Nursing Home all our concerns and worries were squashed. What an amazing home this is.

Every single member of staff is full of love, compassion warmth and smiles. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they have welcomed our family into their family. I can not find enough words to praise them. Just fabulous.

The care that my mother receives continues to be excellent, despite her increasing disability. The staff, all of them, are incredibly caring and patient, even when under severe pressure. I visit the home most days and have never heard any of the staff lose their temper or complain to the residents. The food at Furzehatt is also of high quality and activities and concerts for the residents are provided on a regular basis.

My wife suffers from Alzheimer's and cannot now do anything at all. She has to be washed and fed, cannot talk or communicate and is incontinent.

From the manager down everybody makes the effort to talk to her and shows her different things which makes her laugh and giggle all day long. The entertainment lady really goes the extra mile to involve her in all of the activities. All of this makes me very satisfied!!

The care of residents here is clear to see. The staff go above and beyond and for that, we as a family are so grateful. It's an extremely difficult decision to admit a loved one into any kind of care but we sleep well knowing dad is getting the very best of care and kindness.

Thank you to all of the lovely staff.

Dad settled into Furzehatt Residential and Nursing Home very quickly as he was allowed to bring furniture from home and the colour scheme is his choice. The rooms are generously proportioned. The daily food menus are very useful. Although dad is not able to join in the activities there seems to be enough going on. The staff are very friendly and work very hard. There is a beautiful secluded garden for residents to enjoy and the home welcomes pets which help pass the time and always raises smiles from everyone. There are regular residents meetings which welcome family members to participate.

I work with my team to assist and care for our residents, to ensure their health and wellbeing needs are met. I have a very varied role and no day is ever the same.

I enjoy spending as much time with our residents as I possibly can and seeing them smile and enjoy their time with us, is so heart-warming.
