Avon Cliff

my Dad was a resident for 2 years, up until his death in June 2026. He was very well looked after, always clean & smart. All staff, from Domestics, receptionists, waiter(es), Carers, nurses to home manager, were so kind & caring towards Dad, me & my sisters. my sister & I live in West Yorkshire & it was re-assuring to know he was in such good hands. On our regular visits we were made welcome. when we joined Dad for lunch, we were all looked after. Nursing staff kept me updated on any health issues - large or small. Dad enjoyed the activities, as evidenced by photo's of him with a big smile. Towards the end of his life staff were compassionate & caring, offering my sisters + I support, hugs, food & drinks. THANK YOU ALL

Avon Cliff is a wonderful place! It's been a god send for us to know that mum is being so well looked after since coming out of hospital. All the staff here are amazing. They're friendly and extremely competent at what they do. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is top hotel standard. The beautiful gardens are a lovely place to sit or stroll around. Plentiful activities makes socialising for the residents really enjoyable. Perfect home from home.

As a daughter of a resident, I would like to express my gratitude to the wonderful staff at the care home. The staff show real kindness, compassion and professionalism in the care they provide for mum. It is reassuring when mum is happy and supported by a great team of people. I highly recommend this care home.

This care home is very friendly and the staff are attentive. The food is excellent with a good choice. The facilities are clean and kept in good order. The grounds are well maintained and for the residents.

My mum has been at Avon Cliff for over 10 years, and throughout that time she has been superbly looked after by the whole team. It is as a result of their loving care that she has reached 105, we now have a card from both the late Queen and King. Whilst she was very active when she was first at the home and thoroughly enjoyed all the various activities of the home, including organised trips, she is now bedridden and not aware of much as a result of Alzheimer's. As a family, we couldn't ask for better support for our mum's care and attention. A very big thank you to the excellent Avon Cliff team.

The level of care, attention, and professionalism I have seen first hand, surpasses none.

The food offering is very diverse, wholesome and nutritious, with 3 melas a day as well as Tea / coffee offerings during the day.

Staff at the Avon Cliff are very professional, friendly and personable, which gives me confidence and satisfaction to see my father being so well looked after and cared for.

The home itself is impeccably clean, maintained and offers residents a fulfilling fun packed day, should they wish to embrace the facilities and planned activities offered on a daily basis. This includes days out too.

My mother checks in, at times, not only to keep my father company, but receiving respite care too, and enjoy all these facilities and good food too.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the Avon Cliff to any potential future resident, you wont receive any better treatment and care than what they offer, First Class service

My mother has been a resident at Avon Cliff for over a year. She has been very well looked after and is settled and happy. This month she suffered another stroke. The care she received during and after by all of the staff has been exceptional. To witness this has given me great peace of mind to know she is so well looked after.

I am really pleased with my care here and happy with the meals my only criticism is that I'm rushed after meals especially at night.

Everyone at the above home is very welcoming and always willing to listen and help when needed.

Extremely happy with Avon Cliff my Dad has been a resident since 2023. The staff are absolutely wonderful from reception, restaurant to entertainment and all the nurses and everyone who works at the home. We are so grateful for their support, chats, care and experience have made this really tough time manageable and relaxing to know Dad is in safe hands. He has servere Parkinson's .

My stepmother was resident at Avon Cliff following a knee replacement for respite and enjoyed her time there and the care she received. When she needed full-time care, she had no hesitation in choosing Avon Cliff again. Her care was always excellent, but it went beyond that because the staff, from admin, reception, entertainment, care and management were all superb, with many quickly becoming friends to her and to the rest of the family when we visited. I highly recommend Avon Cliff and thank them for all they did.

I will say in my experience that the care my mother receives at Avon Cliff from all aspects is second to none. She is always treated with kindness from the care team and everyone else she has contact with; everyone is lovely.

With my husband in residence I was looking forward spending time at Avon Cliff Nursing Home myself, while my son was abroad. All staff were helpful and caring and encouraged plenty of me time, spending lunch, supper and walks through the garden, resting to enjoy nature with my husband. I loved some of the entertainment, attending by myself while he had a rest. Generally, I love the 'family' atmosphere, which is so welcoming at Avon Cliff.

Entering a care home at 93 must be daunting and it was for mum. The staff at Avon Cliff made mum so welcome, quickly learnt her likes and dislikes and involved her (and sometimes family members too) in everyday life there, in patient stages. She now joins in with many activities, has personalised her room and laughs daily with staff and residents alike. We know she is well cared for, medically, diet, weight, clothing and well-being etc.
