Avon Cliff

I have been at Avon Cliff for over 2 years and have been very pleased with the excellent care. The staff are very kind and helpful and if I ring for assistance there is always a prompt response.

Our mother stayed at Avon Cliff for 3 years until she died aged 96. For the whole of those 3 years she was always cared for in a kind, considerate and dignified way. The staff were unerringly helpful and cheerful and we felt very lucky that our mother was looked after so well.

I am pleased with Avon Cliff. The care, and professionalism of the managers, nursing staff, dining room staff, reception, and activity staff are 100%. Nothing is too much trouble, always on hand to help in any way. My Mum has settled into the home very well and is happy here. Would definitely recommend it to anyone that is considering coming to a care home for respite, temporary, or permanent care.

I have been a visitor to Avon Cliff with my dog as a member of Caring Canines. I would like to say how lovely the home is and Evie and I have been made most welcome by every member of staff and the residents. It is one of the nicest places I have visited since 1992. The home is a wonderful place for anyone in their prime to enjoy the time they have as they get older.

I always find the management and staff very helpful and caring and we appreciate the quality of the facilities at the Avon Cliff Care Home.

Dad arrived at Avon Cliff in dire need of TLC and good nursing care. He got outstanding nursing care! All his physical and emotional needs were met by highly trained nurses and doctors, reception, cleaners and catering. The food was excellent. The cleanliness of the home was excellent. The activities on offer - brilliantly thought our. A real home in which no requests were denied, always a listener at hand and beautiful surroundings inside and in the garden. Perfect-sized rooms with toilets. The best bathing, lifting and bed, chairs etc available. Hairdresser, chiropodist, everything you could want and more!

My mother arrived at Avon Cliff in August 2023. We have been very impressed with everything at Avon Cliff. We feel staff go beyond their jobs to really care for the residents. I've seen many acts of kindness and compassion shown, not only to my mum but to other guests. It is very impressive and also the form of knowledge that is consistent throughout the home.

My mom's care and the attention given to her has been exceptional. I am a retired nurse and know good care when I see it.

The care and attention I receive here is second to none. The carers and medical staff are excellent. The lounge staff I class as family, bringing us all together with a mother, aunt and uncle. Management is always there for help and advice and I know I can rely on them. All staff do an excellent job.

All the staff were fantastic, caring, thoughtful, chatty and respectful. Supportive and went above and beyond. One issue (which seems to be a training one) relating to the entertainment officer who did not have appropriate communication skills for a care environment.

I have enjoyed my stay, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is very good and the entertainment is wonderful.

My father spent his last 11 days in Avon Cliff. He was really well cared for and every member of staff was so caring and friendly. During the last few hours, the nurse on duty was absolutely wonderful. He was supportive and respectful and made the experience much easier than I had imagined it would be. Thank you.

Avon Cliff is an amazing home. Mum has thrived since she went in October 2021. All staff have been so genuine and professional and nothing is too much trouble. The entertainment team are such a bonus - giving Mum the friendships and social aspect she loves.

My elderly mother has been a resident at Avon Cliff for more than 4-months now and she is genuinely happy to be there. Both my sister and I are happy with the home too. The staff are experienced and caring and take time to tell us how she is doing. The nurses have been particularly proactive in contacting the doctors to sort out her medical issues and accompanying her to medical appointments. Despite some initial difficulties in visiting because of the pandemic, we have been warmly welcomed and it has been possible to visit whenever we want. She has a beautiful sunny room with plenty of storage space, and access to a delightful area of the garden in addition to the resident's lounge, where the activities take place on a daily basis.
