My father needed care and I was recommended Muscliffe care home. I was contacted by this lovely Lady Sharon Manager of the care home, she was absolutely amazing I explained my concerns she was extremely helpful she placed my father in the home with in a matter of hours as this was an emergency due to my dad's dementia that has got worse. I am always updated on everything. Sharon keeps me in the loop all the time. The staff are all amazing Sharon does a great job the residents are all very well looked after. The home is lovely and cleanliness 200%. I would definitely recommend this place, Sharon has been a blessing. I rate this care home excellent in every aspect.
An amazing reception for my father, who has dementia and can be very demanding, by the whole team. He was made to feel very welcome and we couldn't be happier for him. They took the time to ask and understand his requirements and we feel the team really care.
During the last 4 year period from 2011 to 2025 it has been my pleasure and experience to relate with confidence to the specialised nursing care and attention that my husband (Jack) has received. I have always considered the care, management and nursing staff outstanding, and would welcome the continuity of Muscliff Nursing Home and its first-class status.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this review. I will be sure to share it with the Muscliff team.
My brother spent his last couple of months living at Muscliff and their care and attention to his needs could not have been better. With advanced Dementia, some of his needs could be challenging but nothing was a problem for them. There is a very strong culture of respect and of affording dignity to everyone and the staff group and Manager are extremely supportive to families as well as residents. The facilities at the home are exceptional and the staff very well trained and the right people for the job! With impressive activities and events, my brother could not have been better cared for. Thank you to everyone working there.
Thank you for the feedback. Ensuring all our residents have a meaningful day is at the core of our care delivery. Staff training ensures our team is competent to deliver the right care at the right time every time for the residents that we are privileged to support.
My wife has been at Agecare Muscliff for the past 4 years. She gets cared and well looked after by all members of the staff including management. The home has lots of lounges that we can use to be together as a couple during my visit.
Thank you for the review. Our philosophy is founded on the belief that all residents are entitled to a rich quality of life.
Friendly staff. Dad always clean and tidy. Happy to visit him here. Dad likes the food.
Treating all our residents with dignity, kindness and compassion is at the heart of the care delivery at the Muscliff
Excellent staff and activities. Always welcoming. Amazing with residents. Vast range of activities that go on every day to cater for everyone. Home is always warm and happy. Cheerful staff who are always willing to help and answer any queries. Could not ask for better residential care for my mother. All her needs are met and we are reassured she is happy and receiving the best possible care.
Creating a home where residents are honoured as individuals and where we provide the best quality of life experience is at the heart of the Muscliff Team
I feel lucky to have found Muscliff Care Home for my wife. She has been a resident for 15 months and the care provided during that period has been exceptional. The staff is so well trained and qualified that the home runs efficiently as individual members of staff know what care is required and administer it before it becomes a problem. It is a pleasure to visit the home to see my wife as she always appears to be happy and contented. The home is clean and the residents are presented in a clean and tidy fashion. It is a pity that Muscliff is not used as an example of care for dementia patients as many other homes who advertise dementia care just haven't got a clue.
AgeCare's vision is to transform and lead the delivery of quality services in the social care sector.
I am impressed with the way the staff care for my husband; they always seem to be kind and respectful. He cannot really communicate, and they take trouble to try to explain things and find out what he wants. Such as extra drinks during this hot weather. The atmosphere is quite jolly and the activities put on by staff such as the fashion show are great fun and it was noticeable they way all the residents seems to respond. It is all much appreciated. It helps to make what is a very sad situation for me somewhat better.
Relentlessly pursuing excellence in care for our residents is at the heart of what we do at the Muscliff
My family and I are extremely happy that my husband has come to be cared for at Muscliff Nursing Home. He has presented some challenging behaviour, but all the staff have been amazing, patient, and kind. I am always welcomed with a smile, no matter what time I visit. He is kept well-shaven, clean and tidy and always in his own clothes. I couldn't wish for a happier and caring home.
We respect all our residents, visitors, and staff. We treat everyone with dignity, kindness, and compassion
As a family, we feel blessed to have found Muscliff Care Home. Having to accept that the time had come for our father to go into care was the most difficult decision we've had to make as a family. We received so much support and have continued to do so during the 15 months Dad has been a resident. All of the staff are very caring, attentive and have the utmost respect for the residents. The whole team are led by the manager and another member of staff and we are so grateful for their dedication. Everyone from the management, nurses, carers, kitchen, laundry and maintenance do everything they can to provide a happy, safe environment for both residents and visitors. Thank you.
Thank you for the feedback. Creating a home where our residents are honoured as individuals and where we provide the best quality of life experience with the support of the team and families.
All my concerns I have photos to prove my mum was left upstairs for over 12 weeks like a caged animal left in her own urine for over 7 hours no clothes on no sheets on the bed with sores scratches and bruises on her.
The manager comes across as caring but don't be fooled muscliff received 10,000 from the council one of 5 care homes for acoustic monitors in rooms which written permission was meant to be had before done NEVER was it's meant to be extra protection for falls.
My mum was left unattended on her commode at 2am in the morning a high risk fall since March my mum aged 79 has been in hospital with a double break on her wrist AND and open fracture which needed surgery my mum is terrified to return muscliff knew she wouldn't go back but they have still been getting £2000 a week chc funding theft abuse neglect.
Im truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. I understand your concerns and appreciate you sharing your experience. However, I respectfully disagree with your assessment of Muscliff Nursing Home. While it's unfortunate that your mum had a negative experience, it's...
I am extremely grateful that my wife is here as I have not come across such a Home elsewhere. It is always nice to be here with very happy and lovely carers. I can go home knowing that my wife is being very well looked after. Thank you to the Manager for having created and maintained a very loving environment.
Caring for the residents we support is the highest expression of humanity
Mum has been at Muscliff for over 5 years and we have seen lots of changes in that time. What has not changed is the care, compassion and support that the staff have shown to our mother. The home is always a happy, vibrant place to visit, there is always something going on, from entertainers, activities, outings and visits to food tasting and fashion shows. We feel very lucky to have such a great place for mum to live.
Delivering the best possible care is at the heart of what we do at the Muscliff
I am happy with the care my wife receives. All staff are helpful and friendly. I cannot fault the home or its staff. Nothing is ever any trouble for the staff or management.
We aim to make every day a meaningful day for all the residents we support
I was extremely fortunate to choose Muscliff Nursing Home for my Mother's End-of-Life- Care. Muscliff is lead by a highly experienced Manager, supported by an excellent Deputy Manager. All the other staff are absolutely amazing, so kind, so helpful and so caring. All exceptionally well trained. Always polite and courteous, nothing was ever too much trouble for any of them. I was constantly kept updated regarding my Mother's health and her day to day well being. Additional Medical support was available and called in when necessary. The home is spotlessly clean, highly organised and has a lovely homely feel to it. l only wish that l had found this amazing Nursing Home earlier. Thank you to all the lovely staff, I am truly grateful for everything that they did for my Mother - she had wonderful care.
Our goal in Muscliff is to give all our residents the right care, at the right time, all the time to ensure they have nothing but the best!
Muscliff Care Home provided end-of-life care to my mum. They treated her with dignity and respect and always made sure she had everything she needed. The staff and managers were really accommodating towards me and my sisters too during some really difficult times. Thank you for your kindness and understanding.
Ensuring the best end-of-life care is at the heart of what we do at the Muscliff.
The home is a lovely place, the staff are so accommodating and there are lots of things for residents to do. Communication from the home is great too, they send out a weekly email with the activities the residents can do and any updates on your loved ones.
Will definitely consider Muscliff if a home is needed in the future.
Thank you for the review at the Muscliff. The team works diligently to ensure that all our residents have meaningful days.
All staff very friendly and helpful and kind. Nothing seems too much trouble. nursing staff very freidnky and kind as is management.
Thank you for the review. We always aim to make the home a happy place for residents and families.
The nursing team keep us updated on any physical health concerns that they have for Mum and has always been prompt to get medical attention for her when needed.
Overall the quality of care is much better than most of the Nursing homes that I visited before Mum came to live at Muscliff.
AgeCare team always puts the residents we support at the centre of our care delivery.
