Kingsman House Care Home

Good quality home providing good food and accommodation. Staff are helpful and encourage to participate in activities. We have used this facility over the last three years and it has provided my brother with a safe place while we are away.

There are lovely grounds to enjoy.

I have been visiting my mother for the past three months and have found the support of all staff fantastic. They are caring and the facilities are first class. Front of house staff are superb. Staff on reception, all the carers work so hard to ensure all residents are supported. I have recently sat in on the events organised for residents and all events are great. Special note goes to one staff member in particular. This is a care home that puts the word “care” at the top of its priority. I take my small Cockapoo “Winston” in and they make him really welcome, one of the residents has a small dog called Mi Mi and it brings a sense of calm to the whole home. Couldn’t recommend Kingsman more highly.

Mum enjoys the weekly trips out to local places, takes part in the gardening club, attends the twice-daily activity sessions and interacts positively with the other residents. For her birthday, the staff organised a singer, baked her a lovely cake and gave her a planting ceremony in the garden for a rose I had given her. They are so kind.

The activities team are very interactive with residents, and having a good laugh and joke is very important for the residents to feel good! They are a great double act!

My great-aunt turned 100 years old. The care home organised a trip out in a London taxi to the coffee shop. The long looked outstanding. The staff organised a singer. The overall birthday celebrations were first class. Displays were made relating to my great-aunt. Also, the food was excellent and the birthday cake.

The building and facilities are great and the food is amazing and to a high standard. We are very pleased that she is being looked after so well.

I do realise that this situation is not easily maintained, and I commend you on all aspects of this home-from-home.

I’ve been visiting the care home for the past 4 years, always made to feel welcome, nothing is ever too much trouble for the receptionist, always happy to help if I need assistance. Very happy with the support and care my friends at the home receive, love hearing what they have been up to and the little trips out they’ve had.

Mum especially loves the entertainment schedule, there have been some great singers and entertainers and trips out in the minibus every Thursday.

My experience with Kingsman has always been good, the staff are always helpful, my mum was very reluctant to come into a home, but has now adapted to being here, she loves the staff, entertainment, and trips and the staff actually try to find the time to talk to her, she has more fun than I do.

We had a wonderful jubilee party in the garden. I had so much fun. The receptionist printed the photos for me and my husband to enjoy.

Mum has been a resident at Meyrick Rise for over 4 years. She is 95, bedbound, frail and has complex needs. The care she receives is excellent. All the staff provide professional loving care. Mum always feels safe and secure. We know she is well cared for. I think the home has improved significantly since the current manager was appointed. She leads by example and takes a keen interest in all aspects of the home. This cannot be easy with all the challenges that care homes currently face. Thank you!

After looking after my husband for 10 years it took its toll on me and I could cope no more. My son and I looked at several homes but Meyrick Rise was head and shoulders above the rest - we could not fault at all - we both agreed it had to be done. Meyrick Rise or nothing! Thank goodness my husband was offered a room.

Meyrick Rise is a lovely home. Outstanding customer service from the reception team and from all the care team and nurses. The residents look happy and the home has a very nice feeling to it! High standard of care that makes it a home away from home.
