Home Manager Sinead has worked in care for over 20 years and was inspired by the unique combination of physical and mental health involved in supporting others. Beginning her career as a care assistant across both hospital and care home settings, she later qualified as a nurse and has since developed a specialism in dementia care.
Sinead is passionate about mentoring her team, helping them grow in their own careers while maintaining the highest standards of care. She believes in creating a true “family home” atmosphere within Brockworth House – one filled with warmth, fun, and a strong sense of belonging.
Her leadership style is very much hands-on, fostering a whole-home approach where everyone works together as one team. Sinead is proud to be leading the wonderful team at Brockworth House and looks forward to developing the home in line with Ashberry Healthcare’s vision and values.
One of her proudest career moments was achieving five “Good” ratings from the CQC in her first management role. Outside of work, she enjoys adventures with her two children, partner, and dogs, and plays in the Gloucester Netball League – returning to a sport she loved at school.
I’m Jo Lane, and I have worked at Brockworth House for over 24 years. I started as a carer and later gained experience in laundry, housekeeping, maintenance, admin, and kitchen work. I now lead the housekeeping team.
What motivates me most is making our residents feel comfortable, happy, and safe.
I live in the countryside with my husband, grandson, and our two dogs.
I joined the team nearly four and a half years ago, just before the first year of COVID. It was certainly an unusual and challenging time to start a new role, but it also made me appreciate the importance of connection and community even more.
Before that, I spent many years working in retail, which taught me a lot about people, patience, and teamwork. I also took some time away from work to raise my son — a chapter of my life that I’ll always treasure. Coming back into the workplace, especially into a role where I can make a difference each day, has been incredibly rewarding.
