I cannot recommend Brockworth House highly enough. The care that all the staff provided for my lovely Mum constantly impressed. We were always kept up to date with her care and nothing seemed too much trouble. Everyone there was approachable and kind. When the community tissue viability team were unable to help with a pressure sore (that she came to Brockworth House with) the team there went on a mission to help. Amazingly, and against the odds, they made it better, this involved turning Mum every 2 hours and constant dressing changes - something that the hospital couldn’t manage. The staff all seemed to care about us as much as Mum, this became even more apparent as she became poorly. So many kind and heartfelt words, we really did appreciate it all.

I am forever grateful that Mum came to Brockworth House. Thank you all.

My husband, a dementia sufferer, has been resident at Brockworth House Care Centre since April 2015. I cannot express highly enough my own and the family's appreciation of the care and attention were unfailingly given to him by each member of staff involved. That he remains content and relaxed means so much, as does the thoughtful and professional responsive shown to him in all his mental and physical needs. Staff are ever courteous and available to discuss any particular issue.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say that the care my dad received was outstanding and as a family, we are truly grateful. My dad had the experience of another home before Brockworth house and he would have left this world earlier but Brockworth house saved his life and made him happy right up to when he died Tuesday 13th November.
End of life care was outstanding, and as a family, we were able to be with him night and day. All the staff looked after us all and love in that home was felt. Dad and all the family love the staff and all the residents and my sister and I will carry on visiting the residents.

Dad would be happy for us to go see the family he gained in his last home Brockworth House. Thank you all so much on behalf of my dad and family.

The care my husband received at Brockworth House was outstanding. From the moment he arrived he was treated with upmost respect, care and love, as we all were as a family. Nothing was too much trouble and each resident is treated as an individual. All the staff from all the office staff, to nurses and carers, to cleaners, kitchen and laundry staff were professional, compassionate and caring. The care my husband received during the ten months he was a resident was fantastic. Having one doctor responsible for all the residents is an excellent idea which works well. When my husband was dying, every kindness, help and love was shown by all the staff to the whole family. Definitely the place to go with dementia.

Unfortunately, my partner recently passed away. However, the staff at Brockworth did everything possible to ensure that what was a most traumatic and very difficult time was made as kind and easy as it could be.

I was treated with the utmost consideration and sympathy and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. They were all polite and respectful, compassionate and very understanding, not just for myself but also for my partner.

Prior to that, I was always made to feel welcome whatever time of day I visited, and any concerns I did have (which were few and far between) were listened to and dealt with in a timely manner.

My partner was at Brockworth for just over a year and I was very pleased that I chose there for his final year.

My dad had Alzheimer's and was thankfully accepted in Brockworth when another more expensive care home could not cope with his behaviour anymore. My dad's behaviour issues seemed to vanish from the moment he walked through the doors of Brockworth, he was easily bathed (previously a problem) and enjoyed the communal rooms for relaxing and eating (previously never did). The management of this home, having been through the pain of losing loved ones to Alzheimers/Dementia themselves, totally understand, they are highly knowledgeable and run a care home that is a true home from home. The staff are exceptional, every resident is treated as an individual, never looked down upon, nothing is ever a problem and each person is loved and cared for as if they were a member of their own family. Food is fantastic, we were always made so welcome when visiting, residents are kept mobile as long as possible. My dad recently passed away and we are all so thankful for the time that he had at Brockworth.

I don't get to see my Dad much but the times I have seen him, he was free to go wherever he wants and so happy. I don't worry about his care because I know he is in good hands. My family keep me informed and I am very happy with his care. Can see the staff are trained in caring for the residents, everybody works hard to see the resident has things to do, care. They drink and eat well. All the staff care, office staff, kitchen, carers, nurses, cleaners and the Chaplin.

Throughout my ex-husband's stay, since the 3rd February 2017 until April 2018, he has received the highest care you could have wished for. The one-to-one care staff went above and beyond, as did all the staff and treated him as a person with feelings and compassion. They made him laugh, put up with his tantrums, challenging behaviour and brought out the best of him. He was always encouraged to take part in activities and he was treated with dignity. Having spent considerable time with family members at the care home, towards the end, the staff were wonderful towards all of us and kept us going through the darkest of times. I would definitely recommend this care home.

I instantly felt reassured and welcome on my first visit to Brockworth House when looking for a suitable place for my Aunt and sensed this would be a home which would cater for all her needs, and it has proved to be. For the last ten months, we have witnessed the love, care and affection that she has enjoyed from all involved with her care, all of which has been carried out thoroughly and sensitively. We are regularly amazed at the way in which care for such a variety of residents with different needs and levels of Dementia is carried out with such seamless efficiency, yet always with patience and a smile. Every time we have visited we have been welcomed and almost seem part of the family at Brockworth. We have been kept well informed about her condition and all our enquires dealt with promptly and satisfactorily. Dementia appears to be a pretty terrifying place for anyone to be but the way in which it is managed and softened by Brockworth must be an example to all.

What a huge relief it was to find somewhere so suitable for my Auntie when she needed a Nursing Dementia placement (previously she was in residential care, but due to challenging behavior had to move). Throughout her 11 month stay she was treated with kindness and respect. Staff endeavored to help her feel secure and safe, whilst maintaining her dignity. Considerable effort was taken to get to know her and about her background and interests, thus enabling person centered care and conversations that were relevant. The activities co-coordinator made a particular effort to engage with her. Regular visits from The Chaplaincy team were another benefit which included assisting with her funeral service (so much appreciated). The excellent on-site hairdresser was also fantastic. The home is well run and managerial staff were always helpful and understanding. End of life care was excellent, I was well supported during visits. If I could suggest one improvement it would be the garden, so much potential there!

Our aunt spent nearly a year at Brockworth prior to her death in late January 2018. We visited her regularly and have nothing but praise for the high standard of care she received. The staff were excellent; always patient and caring of their residents. They clearly made the effort to get to know her well and provided individual care tailored to her needs. The chaplain and one of the activities staff led a lovely funeral service which was a fitting tribute to her life.

A very warm and caring home. Residents are treated with dignity and are well looked after. Carers are hands-on at all times and Management doors are always open. There is a programme for activities which includes music therapy, creative art, flower arranging, exercise therapy etc., and regular services are held on Sundays. Food is excellent and reviewed regularly with relatives having a say in whether they think particular dishes are suitable. Regular relatives meetings are held to discuss any problems they may have and for the management to announce changes or new ideas.

My husband has been a resident for 18 mths. He is very settled and looked after extremely well. My family and I are very happy with Brockworth and the care they provide.

My warmest thanks to all the staff at Brockworth for the amazing job they do.

I joined the team nearly four and a half years ago, just before the first year of COVID. It was certainly an unusual and challenging time to start a new role, but it also made me appreciate the importance of connection and community even more.

Before that, I spent many years working in retail, which taught me a lot about people, patience, and teamwork. I also took some time away from work to raise my son — a chapter of my life that I’ll always treasure. Coming back into the workplace, especially into a role where I can make a difference each day, has been incredibly rewarding.
