Barchester Moreton Hill Care Centre

I am an adult general nurse and was recently promoted to Deputy Manager following on from my position as Clinical Lead at Moreton Hill. I have worked in hospitals and other hospital settings, but since I started at Moreton Hill, I feel that here is the place I will use all my knowledge to support the residents and the team.

Moreton Hill is delighted to have Roger as one of our Resident Ambassadors.

Roger joined us in 2021. He is very caring and kind in welcoming new residents. Originally from the North of England, Yorkshire, Roger loves a good chat!

Moira has lived at Moreton Hill since 2009. She remains involved in all Open days and advocates for the other residents. As a previous teacher, her passion was poetry, and she holds her Poetry club once a month.

Anne joined our team of Ambassadors after being elected by her fellow residents to represent them in day-to-day activities.

Hello, I am Stuart and I joined Moreton Hill in 2021 as Head Chef. I have enjoyed spending time enhancing the food and beverage offering, and working with residents to create new menus. I am always happy to cater for individual needs and tastes. I also enjoy working with the activities team to plan the catering for events.  There is always a warm welcome in our cafe with a range of drinks and different homemade cakes daily.

Hello, I am Michelle came to the UK in 2005 from Guyana which is the only English-speaking country in South America. I qualified as a nurse in 1986 and have worked solely in the care environment working with residents with dementia and nursing needs. I really enjoy working with the team here at Moreton Hill.

I am a Care Practitioner and started with Barchester in October 2021. Working with Elderly residents is one of the most rewarding jobs I could ever want. I am supported to pursue a career and develop to enrich our resident's quality of care and lifestyle.

Hi, I am Helen and I started at Moreton Hill in May 2005 as a Healthcare Assistant before being promoted to a Senior care assistant and eventually, in 2023, as a Head of Housekeeping.

I gained extensive experience in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and comfort in our home. I'm committed to providing a clean and hygienic environment that enhances the well-being of residents and staff.

Hello, I am Sue and I have worked at Moreton Hill since January 2013. Along with my team, we are responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness around the home and in-house laundry. I love chatting with the residents as I go around the home.

Hello, my name is Alison, and I have been working at Moreton Hill since April 2025. I have over 15 years of experience working in health care; I used to work at the neurological unit and at the hospice. It's lovely to work alongside the clinical team and also to interact with residents and their families, as well as my colleagues from other Barchester homes. I look forward to many years ahead in Moreton Hill.

I began working in care over 30 years ago. My first job was in another Barchester home, but I eventually joined Moreton Hill in April 2025.

In my private time, I love spending time with my children and grandchildren. I enjoy travelling, walking, the cinema and musicals.
