Such a kind, generous establishment full of laughter and hands-on care. A very happy experience, even at the end, with gentle care and dignity. Thank you.
She is deeply missed by the staff, and so are your visits. Her strong character was truly admired.
The home was comfortable, smart looking and clean. The menu options for the residents and occupants was varied and of high quality. The standard of care appeared to be high and the welfare of the residents was paramount.

My father was discharged to Newlands from Hospital when it became evident he would not manage at home and was deteriorating rapidly physically. He was at Newlands for a matter of days when he became end-of-life care. The staff were fantastic and attentive and he received the best care possible. All his family were very grateful for the way both Dad and my Mum who was with him throughout were looked after. We could not praise them or recommend them highly enough.
Thank you Kim for your comments, we were very honoured to be able to help you and your family at this time, especially as he was a local gentleman. It was so beneficial to both your parents the time you and your family were able to spend with them especially in your father's last few days.
I came to Newlands of Stow having recently been bereaved and feeling very fragile and bruised and completely exhausted. From the first moment I arrived, I was wrapped in kindness and care, nothing was too much trouble and the sensitivity I was shown at all times allowed me to rest for the first time in months. Having had no appetite, the delicious meals were delicious. The three weeks at Newlands of Stow helped me so much. Thank you!
We are delighted that we were able to support you through this at Newlands and enable you to leave feeling stronger, healthier and rested.
My Mother was very happy living at Newlands of Stow, initially in her own cottage and for just over two years in the Nursing Home. The continuity of being in a familiar environment was extremely helpful when Mother moved into the Nursing Home as she was still surrounded by people that she knew and trusted. All the staff were kind considerate and respectful at all times which was a great comfort to me. Newlands of Stow offers a superb environment with exquisite gardens, a beautiful terrace, excellent cuisine, a lovely coffee shop and a variety of imaginative entertainments. I would highly recommend it.
I came for respite care after hospital treatment and have had excellent care. The staff are kind and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. It was very pleasing to hear them laughing and cheerful at all times. I would not hesitate to use the home again should it become necessary.
My friend has been a resident here for the past three years following a hip replacement in hospital, she settled very well and quickly, and due in no small part to the welcoming, caring and attentive staff at all levels. As he Alzheimer's disease inevitably deteriorated, she was managed gently, respectfully and with dignity. The hone has a lovely, warm, family atmosphere with high standards maintained.
I can not speak more highly of the whole management team. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services.
Mother first moved to a private apartment at Newlands with comfort for us all in the knowledge that there is an outstanding care home alongside. 2 1/2 yrs ago she needed to move into the care home and everything from management, care, hospitality and activities has been first class from start to finish. The entire team gave such sensitive and loving care that they became like an extended part of our family at this important time and mother was so happy there. Newlands benefits from stunning gardens with a beautiful terrace (perfect in the summer) and, from the occasions when we joined mother for lunch, we judge the dining room as one of the best restaurants in the Cotswolds!
We as a family have been so grateful for the wonderful support of Newlands Care and Nursing Home since my mother's move there in 2017. The team are outstanding both on the social/activities and the nursing front. The surroundings are beautiful and the facilities ideal for someone of my mother's generation. We and my mother could not have asked for better.
On recommendation from our doctor, we managed to get my husband into Newlands a 1 days notice - COVID free, so we were able to visit him. He was given the end of life care and the care and love of the staff were amazing. The manageress was exemplary we were astounded how caring she was. Fantastic here.
My mother and I were extremely impressed with the Newlands of Stow and the incredible care they were able to offer my father. From the minute we arrived until dad's passing the staff were fantastic and nothing was to much trouble. Newlands is beautifully decorated and tranquil, more like a 5-star hotel than a care home! We took great comfort that dad was in such a stunning environment when it came to his passing. We cannot thank or praise the staff enough.
My brother was resident here for dementia and was very contented and my sister was here for motor neurone disease for many years and Newlands has had a great reputation for many years.
On leaving hospital after a serious fall, and living alone, I was lucky enough to be recommended respite care at Newlands. The pain of 4 broken ribs, as well as other injuries, meant I couldn’t even get out of bed by myself and 24-hour care by nurses and carers was vital. Without exception, the skills, conscientious care and friendliness of absolutely everyone in the team including the marvellous cooks (my favourite meal was a delicious scallop risotto!) contributed over four weeks to my gradual improvement, enabling me to return home at last with sufficient confidence. I can’t recommend Newlands enough and could never have managed without such kindness which I shall always remember.
Newlands of stow has been home to my father for eighteen months. During this time, he has been extremely happy and has been treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Recently, he died in the home and his death was expected and planned for. His end of life care was exceptional and all the staff treated my father with empathy, humour and high standards of care. I was present at the time of death and the management of his final passing was professional, empathetic, discreet and carefully judged. I have nothing but praise for all the staff at every level in Newlands of Stow. This is an excellent nursing home which goes above and beyond.
At short notice, my mother (aged 83) required respite care, having undergone a third hip replacement at a general hospital. We could see that going home was not an option and what she required was good nursing and convalescent care. From the first moment I walked into Newlands, I was met with open arms and an exceptionally professional and welcoming team. Without exception, I can say that the staff, the care, the food and the whole set up was 100% what my mother needed to make a good recovery from her operation. The food was particularly good, which is so very important when recovering from an operation and the physio was brilliant. Well done Newlands, I would not hesitate to recommend.
I cannot criticise anyone or anything at Newlands - it exceeded my expectations.
He really enjoyed the food, which was restaurant quality.
There were various activities and trips out.
The management were easily accessible and helpful and there was an administrative assistant who was a star performer.
I would highly recommend to anyone.
I would like to congratulate the team at Newlands for an exemplary service in the care of my mother. The attention and the happiness bestowed on Mum was second to none and they do the care system great justice in how it should be for all vulnerable people in the winter of their years.
I had stayed at this nursing home before to recuperate. Intelligent staff, wonderful food, beautiful surroundings.
