My partner Michael has been a resident at Coxwell Hall for almost 3 years. His care has been exemplary. He suffers with dementia but the staff are so understanding and caring. His every needs are catered for and they are so patient. I certainly couldn't give him the same care at home. I know he is safe
where he is and I can visit any time I wish and I am always made very welcome.
Reply from Zipporah Magana, Home Manager at Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing HomeThank you for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that you feel Michael is safe, well cared for, and supported. It's always a pleasure to care for him and having you as a part of our large Cowell family.

I reviewed Ashton Lodge in July last year after my Mother had been there for 4 months and had nothing but praise for all of the staff there. Sadly my mother passed away on the 27th February 2026, so this is a review at the end of our experience. My mum was so well looked after in the 11 months that
she had been there. Her care at all times was exceptional. I was kept informed at all times with updates on her condition.

I was allowed to spend her last night with her in the Nursing Home and was with her when she passed away peacefully. All the staff made this very hard time so much easier, it was a very calm experience .I will forever be thankful for the kindness, care and Dignity that they showed to my Mother in her last few hours.

Mohammed and all the staff, every single one of them make Ashton Lodge such a welcoming place. Their professionalism, kindness and level of care is outstanding. I am just so thankful that we chose this homely, Nursing Home for my Mother last year.

My mother came to Newlands of Stow to convalesce following a fall in which she broke a leg. She suffers from hallucinations which are always very negative. The staff at Newlands looked after Mum very well and seemed to understand the issues that she was experiencing. The accommodation and facilities
are excellent. At times, I felt that there was not great communication between teams, but I think that was more my fault for not knowing which people to inform (of trips out etc). However, I would certainly say that your people and premises are first class and would be happy to recommend.
Reply from Phillippa Bailey, Manager at Newlands of StowThank you very much for your valuable feedback, it was a pleasure to have mum stay with us and I will ensure that I share your kind words with the whole team.

My mother has settled into Coxwell Mews really well , and will have been there as a resident 2 yrs this coming May , staff always make us as a family most welcome. Mum is so very well looked after and we feel staff meet her every day needs, overall we feel she's physically and emotionally in a much
better place.
She loves her chats with all the staff and they to take the time to engage with her which is so satisfying to see and hear.
Mum is 100% in the best place she could ever be in, thank you , thank you Coxwell Mews.

I find the staff friendly and welcoming each visit I make.. Coxwell Home and Mews is always well presented lovely and clean when I visit. The residents are encouraged to take part in various activities which they appear to enjoy. The residents are always spoken to in a friendly and respectful manner
when I visit unannounced.
It is nearly a year since my relative became a resident at Coxwell I can honestly say any concerns or worries about them being a resident vanished after a short time seeing the care and respect given to each resident.
Thank you to all staff.

When we knew that Dad would need to go into dementia home the only place we wanted him to go was with you. My mother in law was cared by you fantastically well, even if it was 20 odd years ago.
On our first visit for Dad it was clear that there is still the same lovely feeling as soon as you walk in
the door.
Most importantly Dad settled so quickly after hating the previous places he had stayed.
Having his "front door" with a proper house number really helped him know where his room was/is. Such a great idea for little cost and effort.
Dad continues to be mainly settled. He does have up and down times but that is to be expected.
He is always clean and tidy and clearly enjoys the food.
We can't praise the staff enough. No matter where you are there are staff near by but not interrupting.
There is also a lot of laughter too.
It is great to see Dad always in one of the lounges rather than sat in his room.
We genuinely cannot fault The Folly. We know Dad is getting wonderful care.
Reply from Zipporah Magana, Home Manager at Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing HomeThank you so much Sue for your kind words. We're delighted to hear of your positive experience in the past and currently. It is our pleasure caring for your dad. we strive every day to provide compassionate, high- quality care, and it's wonderful to know this has made a difference. We look forward to continuing to support your dad and having you as a part of Coxwell family.

My time at Newlands was a very very happy one The staff were all so caring and kind and nothing was too much trouble and so welcoming when I arrived .The food was excellent and beautifully served. One great bonus was being able to have friends to lunch who were all made to feel so welcome and we were
given a separate dining room I had an appointment in Cheltenham Hospital during my stay about which I was concerned and Phillipa who runs Newlands came up to my room on the morning of the appointment to wish me well and talk about my worries a charming driver Nick part of the Newlands team drove me to the hospital and could not have been kinder .It is a 5 star Nursing home and I was sad to leave but I left a much stronger person and my injury well on the way to total recovery.Nothing is too much trouble at Newlands Once I began to recover there was no time to get bored Mandy who was in charge of activities organised film shows concerts flower arranging and even did manicures.
I would certainly return to Newlands .

My wife has been at Coxwell Hall over 16 months. She spends a lot of her time walking the corridors on her ward and as a result becomes tired and in danger of falling. The care staff are alert to this danger and will take her to her room to enable her to sleep safely. I feel confident that Coxwell Hall

When visiting my husband I always find him clean and tidy, and he seems reasonably content. He appears to enjoy his food and eats well, although he seems to have lost weight, but that could be due to his constant walking.

This nursing home was chosen for us by the NHS. It was our only choice. Mum went in for end of life care (16 days). What amazing people work here! Kind, considerate, empathetic & patient; from nurses to heatlthcare assisstants, to receptionists & even the laundry man! Requests met with solutions & with
a willing and gentle heart. The compassion was outstanding. Mum had dementia & cancer & COPD. Just gentle, kind, loving people.

Our brother had to be quickly discharged from hospital so was sent to Ashton Lodge as a temporary stop gap.
On arrival he was immediately attended to by caring and expert staff. They made him feel special. He was instantly made comfortable, they fed him lunch straight away, they checked all his medications
and up-coming hospital appointments and took over organising the transport .They registered him with a local GP immediately. We didn't have to do a thing.
After this fabulous first impression, we realised over the next month how wonderful a place it is. They pre-empt every need and are so caring and professional at all times, sending or answering emails brilliantly. Every staff member we have met is exceptionally kind and caring, from receptionist to manager
We asked the social worker if there was any chance he could stay at Ashton lodge permanently. We prayed so hard.
Eventually our wish has come true. Thankyou everyone. Peace of mind means everything to us. He is happy at last.

I can begin to thank staff enough for their care towards my Father. He has been a resident here since 2021 and now at the very end of life. Staff during this difficult time have been so compassionate and supportive. At the time you need the most support, they have shined through again, and we are so
grateful, I wanted to put it in writing now, because it's so important to get palliative care right, and Coxwell have been fantastic during what is such challenging time. Thanks you all so much, again.

Four and a half years ago, my brother's deteriorating health and complex care needs made admission to a care home inevitable... although it wasn't a decision that was made
lightly.
Durning this time we have seen changas at 'Coxwell' improvements to the building/decor and the garden. There have been
a few staff changes. Through all this the leadership and care ethos has never wavered.

My aunt passed away after 1 year of residence at Coxwell Hall. In that time she changed from being extremely anxious with constant high blood pressure to a very relaxed person. She even stopped smoking which she did to calm herself. This is entirely due to the superb care and support she received from
Coxwell staff. They interacted with her all the time making sure that she was not lonely and of course comfortable medically. Any time there was an issue, such as a fall, I would be updated immediately. Excellent all round.
