I am, and have been extremely impressed with the care that my mum receives. She has been here for 22 months now and I am confident that she is receiving the best care around. If there is an issue it is resolved quickly and professionally. I am greeted by name and all the staff call my mum by her name.

We have been very pleased with the care and support provided by the care home. The staff are kind, caring and respectful, and they genuinely take the time to get to know the residents and understand their individual needs. The home has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and it is reassuring to know that our loved one is being well looked after. Communication with the staff has also been very good, and any questions or concerns are handled professionally and with compassion. We are very grateful to the whole team for their dedication and for the care they provide every day. Review of George Potter House from John M (Brother of Resident) published on 27 August 2026 Submitted via Website

We are writing to thank you all at George Potter House for your exemplary care of R. for more than two years. He had complex needs both physical and psychological and was transferred from Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital at Stanmore. Given his immobility and vulnerability it is worth noting that he did not develop any pressure sores. Indeed he arrived at the home with a wound on his leg following surgery and this was managed with skill and attention and healed perfectly.
The cheerful, attentive staff provided activities throughout the year to entertain the residents including garden parties, musical events and more.
We would like to extend our heart felt thanks and admiration to you all at George Potter House Battersea on behalf of our family and R's many friends.
All Good Wishes,

John, Nicola, Jess, Maddy and Rosie

I could not ask for better care for my husband than that given by Coxwell Care Home. He appears to have settled in well, as shown by his constant smiles for both myself and the carers. He is treated with respect. He enjoys his food, which is very good, and eats well.

My husband has been a resident at Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing Home for nearly six months and is well settled and happy there. He has complex nursing and care needs and I was initially concerned that he would be upset and confused by this new environment, but I needn't have worried. He was calm and content from day one. This was mainly due to the nursing and care staff who are all very pleasant and conduct themselves in a calming and easy manner, encouraging and reassuring the residents that everything is well.
I'm very pleased that my husband is always well groomed and tidy as personal care and appearance are important to him.
I've often been at Coxwell at activity times and these are varied and fun, eg during the World Cup, table soccer was very popular.

All the staff are welcoming and friendly towards me too and I feel relaxed and confident that my husband is receiving excellent care in a safe and happy environment.

Review of Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing Home from Gail P (Sister-in-law of Resident) published on 14 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
I visited my brother in law on 24 July and was disappointed to find he was very thirsty. My sister gave him 3 glasses of water when we arrived, at approx 11.30! Lack of fluid has been advised on previous occasions. On 25 July when we arrived a carer bought my brother in law a glass of something. He drank 2 more glasses of water during our visit which we asked for. On the 26/July I noticed a lady client sat in the dining area alone for 2 hours. Not one carer came to see her. During this visit my sister advised a carer that her husband needed changing. Jon waited 15 minutes before someone came and took him. He was back within 5 minutes he had not been changed & was terribly agitated. 15 minutes later another carer took him to be cleaned & changed - a total of 30 minutes from my sister first asking for him to be changed!!

Since my last visit to Coxwell it has deteriorated. Fans not switched on in the heat. Dirty chairs & some areas.

Reply from Zipporah Magana, Home Manager at Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing Home

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We are sorry to hear that your visits left you feeling disappointed. Review of Bridge House Nursing Home from Grahame A (Son of Resident) published on 5 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Mum has now been in BRIDGE HOUSE just over 3 years & will be 100 later this year.
During her time here she has been very well looked after by all the staff, nurses, carers, activities, cleaners, & management & the catering team who are very flexible in changing the menu items to suit mum's preferences.
The premises have undergone some major improvements both internal & external. The garden is always maintained in very good condition.
Social activities which family members (any age) can attend especially those in the garden ( fetes or bonfire evening) are always organised to a very high standard.
Have established a good rapport with the majority of staff & it is very nice & appreciated to be welcomed on first name terms.

Mum often says it's nice here & I don't think has had any reason complain.

Review of Ashton Lodge from Zubair A (Son of Resident) published on 3 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My father has been at Ashton Lodge for over three years now. We visit twice a week and are therefore in a good position to assess the quality of care provided.
I can confidently say that the staff are attentive to my father's needs. His room and ensuite bathroom are always clean, and he is always well-dressed and groomed.
The team of carers and nurses are friendly. Whenever my father needs assistance during our visits, someone is always available to help right away.
Recently, the care home hosted a fun tennis-themed event where my father had a go at playing tennis in the garden, and just last week they arranged a trip out to the lakes.

Most importantly, I have peace of mind. I know that the Care Home Manager, and the team of nurses and carers, are looking after my father.

Review of Newlands of Stow from Sophie A (Daughter of Resident) published on 31 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My father moved in unexpectedly after a terminal cancer diagnosis. They were warm, welcoming and the care received was excellent. The lunches were exceptional and they met Dad's needs with niche snack ordering for midnight feasts to specific bottled water on the shopping list.
He was always treated with dignity and respect, the staff always well presented and gentle.
The nurses coped effortlessly with all his medications and logged everything without feeling too clinical. The care he received at end of life was wonderful, making sure he was comfortable and well looked after.

Thank you Newlands.

Review of Ashton Lodge from Suzanne C (Daughter of Resident) published on 22 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mum has been resident of Ashton Lodge for 11 years, since March 2015.
Mum picked the lovely room with Mohammad. It has doors that open out on to her little patio and garden that I created on the ground floor.
My mum has complex needs with her mental health illness. Which has been up & down over the years. Having been there a long time Mohammad and his team understand and look after her very well.
My mum and Mohammad have known each other from the beginning. He knows her well and always has time for her and me when I need to raise concerns.
Nice to see Mohammad has been promoted and now the Care Home Manager.
It's peace of mind to myself and my brother, that our mum is in safe hands and that team know her well. Local to me too.
Anyone who reads this & has a member of the family or friend in Care Home will understand, that you have to be their voice. Proactive because you care.

Best wishes Suzanne and Mike

Review of Ashton Lodge from Renu G (Sister of Resident) published on 7 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Since my sister was moved to Ashton Lodge over 3 years ago, she has been so well looked after, not only by the Nursing Staff but also by the Admin and Management teams.

Being a complex patient with physical and mental health problems, my sister's needs are met with a lot of love, care, concern and consideration. If she requires a doctor to attend to her, the Care Home ensure her GP or a Care Home doctor is immediately called to attend to her. Under the Manager's watchful management, Ashton Lodge has continued to improve and grow into a superb, caring location. Where I used to worry day and night about my sister's wellbeing, I am now relaxed and TRUST Ashton Lodge caregivers to look after my sister.

Review of Bridge House Nursing Home from Paul R (Husband of Resident) published on 2 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
On the whole, the Home was of a high standard.
The staff were generally very polite and helpful to both my wife and I. Also I would like to thank the management for going out of their way to help and support me, particularly with regard to funding issues.
The room that my wife occupied was good in terms of space, a nice view (2 windows) and plenty of light. However, initially, there were problems in the room. The TV didn't work for a couple of days and there was a lack of furniture. However, these problems were sorted out by the Home fairly quickly.
The cleanliness in the bathroom was generally satisfactory.

With regard to food and drink, it was difficult to comment because my wife had been having problems with her appetite recently and that was also true in the hospital and when I was cooking for her at home. Anyway, I thought that the food looked good generally but I was particularly impressed by the way the staff tried to improvise with alternative possibilities.

My mum has been in the home now, for close to 10 years. The staff here have been so good to her and myself and that has really taken the pressure off of me and I know that when I leave her, to go home, she is in safe hands.
