Overall Experience

I came at the end of June after release from hospital with a broken ankle. My mental and physical capacity is very good so my treatment has been wonderful. The care for me and others is very special. The nurses and staff do all they can. Their loyalty to others that can't help themselves is outstanding. I have been in a quiet room with all the comforts I can be given. Thank you all.

My father is back at Northleach Court after a long stay in hospital. The care and attention he receives have so far been excellent. We are, as a family, grateful for staff who have offered us excellent support and ensured my father receives excellent care and attention. This has taken a lot of pressure off the family knowing that he is in good hands. Northleach Court is at last being upgraded by the new owners and my father has one of the new rooms which makes his stay even more comfortable. Thank you to all the staff and team at Northleach Court.

Lack of staff seems to be a problem. Residents are not toileted or mobilised enough, although this has been discussed. Personal hygiene is poor, often hands dirty and hair washing and bathing is not often enough.

Although the majority of staff are very caring and nice, there is a lot of training that would be beneficial.

thank you for your review the contents of which we take very seriously.
We bought Northleach Court from Blanchworth around the time your review relates to and we are very much aware of the poor performance of the previous owner.

As I hope you have already seen, we are very committed to making...

It's good to see the new owners of the care home are smartening it up.
Nice new carpet in the residents' lounge.
And the rooms are being decorated and very nicely furnished.

The staff all seem to be a lot happier and pleased with the new changes.

My mother suffers from Alzheimer’s and therefore has needed constant care for a few years now, we as a family feel lucky that Northleach Court provides a high level of care for her at a location not too far from where she previously lived. She has been a resident for around 4 years now and the staff have always been excellent with her and she always seems relaxed in her surroundings when we visit. Recently we were advised that the ownership of the home has changed and obviously we were concerned about this, in case it meant changes of staff etc. However, on our last visit earlier this week we found that some refurbishment work is taking place, with new carpets in the communal areas and bedrooms beginning to be done up, we were shown a newly refurbished room which looked fantastic. The staff were also very positive about the new owners, so it all looks good for the future and Mum can stay where she feels safe and settled.

Massive thanks to all the staff there.

Thank you very much for your kind review - we intend to fully refurbish the whole of Northleach and as soon as we have architect's drawings, we will share our plans with residents and relatives. It will of course not be overnight but will be done in phases over a 12-15 month period. Thank you again for your review.
