A very lovely and relaxing environment the gardens are beautiful and a joy to walk around Staff and residents have made me very welcome which has helped me adjust and settle in
Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that you are enjoying the peaceful environment and beautiful gardens. It is especially rewarding to know that our staff and residents have made you feel so welcome and supported as you settled into your new home. Creating a warm, friendly community where everyone feels comfortable and valued is very important to us.
I am not able to fault the care which my wife received during her short stay. The staff were so attentive to her needs , at times I felt embarrassed that I had not been able to look after her in the same way. They were so caring and treated my wife with great compassion, which was an immense comfort to me, and the family, to know that she was in such safe hands. At all times her dignity was respected.
We are deeply touched by your feedback and are honoured that we were able to support both your wife and your family during such an important and difficult time. Providing compassionate, dignified, and...
My father was very well looked after in the Care Home at Richmond Village, Painswick, for the last 17 months of his life after he lost his mobility. The staff were very caring and built a good rapport with him. He was treated with respect, consideration and good humour and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. This was helped by a good ratio of staff to resident and relatively low staff turnover. A wide variety of events were arranged that residents could participate in if they so wished. The food in the Restaurant has generally been of a high standard. Visiting hours are very flexible and we have appreciated the friendliness and consideration we've received when visiting him and were never made to feel we were in the way. Any issues that did arise were dealt with professionally and we always felt we were kept well informed by regular "news flashes" and by the opportunity to participate in meetings involving the management, residents and relatives.
We are truly honoured to have cared for your father during his time with us, and we are grateful for your kind words about our team. It means a great deal to hear that he was treated with respect, dignity, and good...

I look forward to my visits to Richmond Village. Congratulations to the staff for providing such a welcoming atmosphere. The service is second to none. They always go out of their way to help and are cheerful, attentive, respectful and kind.
The property is so clean, modern and beautifully furnished, somewhere I would certainly recommend to anyone needing a place for a family member. It offers a first class service.
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback. We're absolutely delighted to hear that you enjoy your visits to Richmond Village and that our team has made such a positive impression.

Richmond Village is beautifully presented with delightful gardens. The permanent staff are very friendly, kind and helpful. It is unfortunate that agency staff need to be used as they seem to be less well trained and sometimes are brusque and less considerate to residents needs.
Thank you for your kind comments about Richmond Village. We're delighted to hear that you appreciate the beautiful surroundings and the dedication of our permanent staff. We take great pride in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our residents. We also appreciate your feedback regarding...
She settled in well from the start, and she enjoys all the facilities, and the kind and friendly and helpful staff.
If she feels tired, she can rest , quietly, in her own space, but, also greatly enjoys the company of other residents, and the garden and the pool.
Some of the activities she joins in with, art, music, singing, poetry reading, films, exercise classes, talks but does not feel obliged to do anything if she does not feel like it.
being a kind lady, she will chat with other residents , and enjoys hearing their stories. etc and helping new residents settle in . As her sister, it a great comfort to me that she is in a comfortable, luxurious ! home.
Thank you so much Priscilla for your kind words. We're absolutely delighted to hear that your Sister has had such a positive experience with us.We truly believe in supporting not just our residents, but their families too, so it means a great deal to know that this has come through in your...
My wife has now been in the care home for some weeks. Our experience has been extremely good in all respects. The support given by carers those giving medications and other members of the team have been excellent. My wife has been treated with dignity, very great care, and the support given has been so appreciated by our family.
Thank you for your kind words. We welcome all feedback from our residents and their families, and we strive to ensure we are giving the best person-centred care.
This care home has a very welcoming feel and I would highly recommend it.
Thank you so much for your kind words it was a real pleasure to have you at Painswick we look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.
My mother was transferred to the care home due to illness and mobility issues in April/May 2024. The care she receives is of a high quality with much patience and kindness shown and special attention made to certain wishes. Her health is regularly monitored by qualified nurses, actions are taken where necessary, medicines are overseen and issued as required. It is of much comfort that we know she is being looked after professionally in a gentle and understanding way. Unfortunately she does struggle with some of the meal options, she is frequently disappointed with the lack of taste, poor variety and the quality, especially in regard to green vegetables.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we will pass your comments onto the team. Thank you also for taking the time to meet our Head of Hospitality to discuss your mums preferences. We are always looking to improve our menu options and we value our residents feedback and input with this. Best wishes, Care Home Manager.
Mum makes use of the facilities and activities at Richmond Villages Painswick. She has joined the choir and enjoys the organised events.
A positive experience for us all.
Thank you so much for the lovely review we are so happy your experience is so positive.
My partner has been in RV Care Home in Painswick for 2 years now. It is an excellent facility with interesting and positive entertainment programmes. All the staff are helpful and pleasant and react to my partner who has Alzheimer's with respect and care. The restaurant facilities are excellent. The spa area with pool etc, gym and hairdressing is amazing. My partner is unable to partake in some of these activities, due to his Alzheimer's, but he does use the hairdresser's which is extremely useful. Myself and his children feel he is in the best home possible in this area and we are very happy with all aspects of his care here.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us and we very much appreciate your kind words. We will continue to provide the best possible care and support to you and your partner.
My mother originally stayed at Painswick as a respite on a numerous occasions and then became a resident in the care home. The care and support that my mother received were excellent, her room was lovely and she was happy there. As my mother became unwell and reached end-of-life care, the staff were so caring and supportive to me, as her daughter, and to my mother. Some staff members became so special to us both with their care and support in the last few days and afterwards as well, offering continuing support.
What lovely kind words, your mother was a pleasure to look after and the team built a great relationship with her, she was a huge part of the Richmond Family, also yourself you became part of this family and this is what we strive to do, become a family and deliver the excellent support and care for your loved ones and their families. Mum will be truly missed.
The love and care our mum received during her three years at Richmond was outstanding. The comfort of knowing she was happy, safe and well looked after, enjoying her millionaire shortcake, the weekly activities, her two fingers of tuna sandwiches, warmed by conversation and laughter is priceless. The kindness shown to the family during the final days helped to make a difficult journey easier and more dignified. Our grateful thanks.
Thank you for your very kind words. We were very lucky to have been a small part of your mum's life and we will all miss her.
The experience of the resident was outstanding, especially the manager. She is so friendly but very professional in everything she does. Also, the carers are very caring and professional. I would recommend your care home to everyone. My friend had a wonderful experience and is very happy.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and we very much appreciate your kind words.
My mother was recently taken ill over a weekend. This clearly resulted in a rapid ramping up of care and included managing to get a visit from the out-of-hours doctors. The staff have worked really hard at all times. I can't praise them enough for the kind and professional way they have helped my mum. I have no doubt if she was still trying to get by on her own things would have ended very differently.
Thank you very much for your kind words. The professional interaction and the speed of sourcing help for our residents is paramount, we aim for no hospital admissions, the residents recover quicker being in their home environment. Many thanks.
The care home facilities at Richmond Village, Painswick are excellent. The staff are all friendly yet professional. I feel my mother is treated with respect and the staff have got to know her well and her personality and respond to her sense of humour. When she has been out with us for the day, they are like a comforting hug coming back, appreciating she's tired, bringing tea and sandwiches to her room. It's the little things which make a difference.
Thank you so very much for your kind words, I will pass this on to the team. Mum is a pleasure to look after and brings a smile to our faces daily. We also enjoy seeing you throughout the week, your sister also.
Having come here after injuring my hip and fracturing my femur when all movement was difficult and painful. I am so grateful for the kindness and help I have received here from everyone who has dealt with me to become far more mobile since coming here. I would also like to mention a particular who has sorted out my medication and given me helpful advice. Many thanks to everyone who has looked after me. I would like to say how much I have enjoyed the activities.
It was an absolute pleasure to support you post-op, you did so well and worked so hard to get home. Pop in for a cup of tea soon. From all the team.
The medical oversight and overall care that they both received was exceptional and ultra-professional.
We could not have wished for better care for them. Everyone, from the leadership to the young cleaners, genuinely cared about Mum as she endured a protracted end to her life with dignity and in comfort.
They have my thanks and highest recommendation.
Mum was a pleasure to look after, not only did we take pride and pleasure looking after, we built a lovely relationship with you all.
