Staff members always remember me and greet me like a friend.
It feels like home from home.
The area is beautiful with so many places to visit.
Good excursions and we were sorry to leave.
Hope to visit again. Thank you all, it was very restful. P.S I put on 7pounds in weight.
Staying at Richmond Painswick needs only one word - 'excellent'.
More than helpful to improve my health and with grateful thanks to all nursing staff and carers, they are excellent. All the staff in the home are so very kind and helpful and helped my recovery. Must be a new chef as the meals are excellent compared to Autumn 2016 where they were not up to standard. I really enjoyed my stay and as a regular - I will be back!
It's always a pleasure to have you stay with us and I'm so glad we were able to help with your recovery. Thank you for your comments regarding the meals, we look forward to seeing you again soon!
We were greeted very warmly by everyone and felt very welcome. All the staff in reception, restaurant, cleaners and especially carers for my disabled husband were extremely helpful to us. We were given a beautiful basket of flowers and a bowl of fruit in each apartment and we even had cards for our anniversary.
The food was amazing with plenty of choices.
The pool and spa were very inviting (I could have sat in the spa all day - absolutely glorious).
Thank you for taking the time to send in a review. It's always a pleasure to hear how our staff have made a difference to someone's stay with us. Congratulations again on your Golden Wedding Anniversary and we hope you celebrate many more.
If you are needing somewhere for respite care, or simply a very good quality place to stay, then I would certainly recommend Richmond Painswick. Located in the charming village of Painswick. Facilities are excellent and easily accessible to all, quality and choice of food very good. The staff (from reception, administration to the restaurant) all most professional and eager to help in any way. A great place for a stress-free break.
It was lovely to read that you and your mother had such a lovely break here at Richmond Painswick. We would love to see you both return sometime in the future, we will keep in touch.
I am extremely grateful to the administrative, nursing, and domiciliary team for their care of my mother, and for the daily visits of the cleaning and catering staff, all of whom brightened her day .
Thank you for your kind words, it was an absolute pleasure to have the opportunity to care for Mum and we have some very fond memories of her time with us
Mum (93) really enjoyed her stay at Richmond Painswick. She has been able to stay while we have had a week's holiday for a number of years and I can go away confident that she is being well cared for, that her surroundings are very comfortable and that the activities offered are all of interest to her.
It is wonderful that your Mother has returned to stay with us so many times over the years. We all hope this continues for many more to come! She will always be very welcome.
Helpful, caring staff who take a personal interest in their charges: Clean, well-presented premises with excellent facilities. The care presented extends from sole independent care by the individual to partial overnight, to total overnight care, as required and necessary. The care of the individual is given paramount consideration.
Thank you for taking the time to review Richmond Painswick. Your comments are greatly appreciated.
My mother went to Richmond Village Painswick DCA five years ago in her 90's. We had watched it being built and have been impressed with its individual character blending in with the Cotswold village. My mother immediately felt at home in her own flat and since then her care has increased to meet her needs. The staff are all extremely helpful, from managers to cleaners. We are delighted she is there and can't think of anywhere else that would suit all our needs better.
Richmond Painswick is in a beautiful location. The main building feels more like a high-class hotel than a care home. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. I have always found the food to be of a very high standard although my mother sometimes complains. This may be because she does not fully understand the menu and has difficulty making decisions. The staff always help her and make suggestions if necessary.
Many thanks for your comments and it's a pleasure to have your Mum as one of our residents.
He is comfortable, well cared for both physically and mentally and is well supported by the staff.
We know he is in excellent hands.
There is a sense of calm, staff will smile readily and interact with compassion and often humour. It is a home where residents are looked after with kindness and made us feel as a family, safe in the knowledge that mum was safe and loved.
Thank you for your kind words Wendy. It was an absolute pleasure to care for your mum and we have many lovely memories of her time with us.
The post-operative care for my hip replacement was planned as per the hospital guidelines but left hospital 2 days later than planned after my surgery went wrong with post-operative complications. This meant the 2 weeks care booked at Richmond Village Painswick DCA was now out of their scheduling. 9 days later, the head of nursing care paid me a visit in hospital and agreed to my moving to Richmond Village Painswick DCA for the remaining 2nd week of my 2-week contract. My worry of how I was going to recover quickly enough to return home on my own was quickly resolved as management had agreed to my 2-week contract starting from the time of arrival, plus after discussion with family, another 2 weeks was added to my contract giving me peace of mind and excellent care and food to enable me to be strong enough again for independent living.
Thank you for your comments Anne, we are really pleased you have enjoyed your stay with us and now feel strong enough to return home
Painswick is so pretty and accessible too; so in many ways, Richmond is perfectly placed for a break of some sort. The staff, attention to detail and kindness of approach to residents were exemplary. Catering and food more excellent. Thank you for such a welcoming place.
Thank you for your kind comments Sarah, we are really pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and managed to get the rest and relaxation you needed.
Both my parents lived here for the last three years of their lives. I cannot fault the care and assistance they were given. In every way, they were treated with dignity, kindness and compassion. The domiciliary care team, in particular, were exceptional. In no way does it shout "care home" more like a 4-star hotel.
Thank you, Elizabeth, for your complimentary review, I know that I can speak on behalf of everyone here at Richmond Painswick when I say it has been our pleasure to look after and support your parents over the years.
July 2016 was a busy month - my father's 89th Birthday which was marked by staff and family alike - all sorts of kind gestures. Two social occasions for the village which gave great enjoyment to all involved and participating as well as to residents. The happy atmosphere which permeates Richmond Village Painswick is derived from high-level care and compassion as well as a pro-active positive approach which enhances quality of life and promotes a supportive environment which respects the needs and wishes of individuals.
Thank you Nicola for your kind review, it is a pleasure having your Father as a resident in our care home and also to act as a support to you. Long may your Father's good health continue.
Very happy, helpful staff. I was a little disappointed they didn't pop in to check although all the bells were answered cheerfully and promptly, it was leading up to Christmas with activities going on, I was encouraged to join these, overall felt safe and well cared for.
