I've been so pleased with Clare Hall since mum moved in two weeks ago. I feel mum has made some improvement even in this short time. I also get a really nice feel about the staff. Very pleased I chose to move her there.

Clare Hall is a truly wonderful place with such kind and caring staff. They all looked after my mum so well and nothing was too much trouble. Its spotless and the food is excellent with so much choice. The grounds are gorgeous and look out into fields. The events were always well organised. But its the staff that make it. Friendly and helpful at such a difficult time.

This was my first experience of a care home and a very pleasant surprise. The building was well maintained and spotlessly clean throughout. The staff were always polite and very helpful, and the care for my wife was faultless. The food was of good quality and ample. Tea, coffee biscuits etc always readily to hand. A wide variety of entertainment was supplied, a bit hit & miss but was generally enjoyed by all. I would always recommend Clare Hall.

Many thanks for your kind words. We are pleased that your experience with us was positive and it was our pleasure to care for your wife and meet yourself and your family. I will be sure to pass your kind words on to the team.

Clare Hall is a fantastic care home. The staff are attentive, caring and friendly. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The food is of a decent standard. There are lots of activities for residents to take part in, my nan enjoyed baking club. I felt that my nan was very safe in Clare Hall and I would recommend this as a place for people to stay.

My ex-wife and forever-friend Gillian was moved into Clare Hall Nursing Home from hospital on an end-of-life pathway at the end of August 2025. She was very unwell and deeply depressed. She blossomed in Clare Hall. She had a lovely room with a view over the fields. The staff were wonderful, took great care of her, treated her with warmth and respect and took care of all her wishes. I had not seen her happier in the last ten years. She passed away, peaceful and happy, in mid-January 2026.

I will always be grateful to the administrators, the medical staff, the support staff and the handyman - who helped her to personalise her room, set up her computers and keep in touch with her family and friends. Thank you all. You were wonderful and filled her last days with joy.

Reply from Kirsty Atkins, Registered Home Manager at Clare Hall Nursing Home

Thank you for your kind words. She was very well liked within the home by staff and other residents alike, and it was wonderful to see her blossom during her stay with us. Thank you again for your feedback and this will be shared with the team.

My husband Doug has been resident at Clare Hal from 2 years. He has always been treated with respect and kept clean and tidy.
I have ate Inn the dining room with him and although the portions are not large they are ample and hot.

The staff are also very friendly and accommodating. If you are looking for residential nursing care for a loved one why not visit Clare Hall,

A huge thanks to all round call, courtesy and service throughout the two months we visited our sadly dying friend. We couldn't fault a thing!! We have visited many homes over the last 20 years visiting family/friends and Clare Hall have been one of the best! Our friend, you client too, was happy from start to finish. If only more care homes were like Clare Hall, personalities, cleanliness, passionate and considerate, we would all feel more comfortable and accepting of what age becomes of us. Once again well done to you all.

Both my parents went into Clare Hall, for a period of respite. From the moment they arrived, they were welcomed with open arms and treated with dignity and respect. This continued throughout their stay. Us as a family too. The whole experience was first class and they have returned home full of praise for the whole team, from management to care/support staff. Thank you all.

I am the nephew of a resident who was admitted to Clare Hall Nursing Home about 2 Weeks ago. The staff were so understanding and friendly. my aunt was at end of life care and I can't thank the staff enough for their dedication. I would like to personally thank one staff member in particular who was at the forefront of my aunt's Care to the End. My aunt passed away peacefully on Tuesday 25th at 4.15 with one staff member in particular by her side.

Thank you all again to the staff at Clare Hall

The staff members are fantastic, more like a family to both the residents and the visitors. My mother had lived in Clare Hall Nursing Home for 2 1/2 years, over which time the carers did a fantastic job at making both my mother and my mother's visitors both welcome and comfortable. Nothing is to much trouble and there is always a welcome smile from them all.

What a home! My mum had been there for about a month. The home is extremely well managed. All staff are friendly, helpful, respectful and considerate. My mum unfortunately died there. She could not have been better cared for. We were with mum for 27 hours and were given drinks reassurance and more importantly, mum was shown the utmost dignity, respect and consideration. The nurse picked up that we were struggling with mum emotionally in her final minutes and ensured that I was able to leave if necessary and others were able to stay. From mum's arrival, we were able to visit any time of day and night, personalise her room as much as we needed and were all treated like family. Clare Hall management and staff are outstanding in all aspects. The agency worker was on duty the night mum died. He was outstanding. Thank you from all of us. What compassion and respect we were all given right to the end. Thank you along with the fab staff at Clare Hall.

We took my Father to watch the football team he used to play for in one of the F.A. finals. This was by far the longest (distance and time) we had undertaken since he went into the home, and needed a lot of organising.

The staff at the home were superb. Everything from medicines to a comfortable wheelchair was organised for us and ready for the early start. They went above and beyond, making the day so easy.

I would like to praise unreservedly the administration and staff of Clare Hall. My partner was here for five months and in this time he made friends with all the staff. The service and care we received was excellent on all fronts. A great place with lovely grounds and great entertainment staff. This home felt safe and welcoming from the first moment. The environment was well-maintained and clean and the grounds beautiful. The manager was reassuring and professional and quickly put my mind at rest that my mum would receive good care for her final weeks. The room was spacious and well-equipped and we were allowed to personalise it to make it feel like home. Everyone treated us with respect. My mum was clean, tidy and pain-free and the nurses always talked to her despite her being unresponsive. The excellent team helped my family through this time with kindness, professionalism and compassion and will forever be grateful.

I think my mother receives very good care at all times from all the regular staff. The room is clean, warm and homely. I always feel welcome by the staff when I visit. The food is good - if Mum doesn't like what is on the menu, the staff make sure they supply something she does like! Very good quality care at all times.
