A wonderful care home with kind and friendly staff that have done a brilliant job of looking after my father. The home is always clean and tidy and always smells lovely. There is always plenty of staff around. The grounds that it is is situated in are beautifully kept. A super care home that we would highly recommend, with super staff and brilliant care.

My Uncle went to Clare Hall in April 2019 from the hospital. I cannot fault Clare Hall at all. He is a 91-year old still very much "switched on" and he was taken care of by lovely efficient caring staff. He was always clean, well-fed and cared for. He had never been away from home beforehand but fitted in well and was highly thought of by the staff. I would thoroughly and absolutely recommend Clare Hall for care and comfort.

Thank you so much for your very positive response, which is highly appreciated. We will make sure that your comments will be passed on to our great team of carers and nurses.

My experience is good staff and helpful and dad seems well. The meals he says are not always hot so when they are not hot, he tends not to eat them and for some reason, he doesn't tell the staff. Also, when he rings his call bell (not very often), they take a long time to come.

Reply from Dennis Tahalele, Area & Compliance Manager at Clare Hall Nursing Home

Dear Jan, Thank you for your review. We take your comments seriously and will discuss this with your dad and the team. Please do not hesitate to speak with the management team in the first instance when you have any concerns.

Consistent and caring support. A stable nursing group who do a wonderful job of caring for our father. They are cognisant of the need to maintain patients/residents dignity and professionalism while still being friendly and good communicators. Our father tends not to use many of the activities provided hence the satisfactory rating. He reads and listens to music which is his preference.

The staff are always friendly and appear to know mum well.

One of the resident lounge rooms appears to be closed for use (by the main entrance). Our family try to get together for occasions with mum and that room is always beneficial to her and us. Private, comfortable. We always leave it as we find it. Wonder if it is no longer accessible to residents.

Reply from Dennis Tahalele, Area & Compliance Manager at Clare Hall Nursing Home

Dear Deb, Thank you for your review. I can confirm that the lounge is available to residents and their families/relatives but the lounge was extensively refurbished. Please do speak to a member of the management team if you have any further queries.

My wife is totally disabled with MS and despite refusing food and drink and medicines at times for most of the last year due to the MS now affecting her brain, her care is, to say the least, dedicated. She is always clean and tidy and her feeding needs are pandered to. The staff are always smiling, happy and warm to me and other relatives.

Mum has been in the care home for 16 years. The staff have been very caring, kind and always with respect, privacy and dignity to Mum. The staff always keep me informed by phone or in person of any changes in Mum's condition, doctors visits or any other issues, which is reassuring. Mum is happy to stay in her room with her TV and enjoys seeing her grandchildren.
