Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and observations. We truly appreciate your recognition of our staff's efforts to be pleasant and helpful. We also understand your concerns regarding the mobility and well-being of the person you visit. Ensuring we meet the needs of residents is a priority for us, and we value feedback that helps us improve. We will review the situation you've highlighted and see how this can be improved as we want to ensure the physical and social engagement needs of residents are being met. We are disheartened to read about your concerns regarding your relative's care. Resident wellbeing & comfort is our utmost priority. We value open communication with families. It is never our intention to dismiss concerns without proper consideration. If there was any miscommunication/misunderstanding, we sincerely apologise. Your relative's emergency placement in our home, which was always temporary, came to an end. The funders (social services) sought a permanent placement. Your relative had complex needs before joining us, including being registered as blind. He received diligent care including close monitoring by healthcare professionals. It's worth noting that health changes can be attributed to various factors, including progression of his dementia. We appreciate the thorough investigation conducted by the council's Adult Safeguarding Team, requested by the family, which found no issues regarding his care. We wish him the best in his new home & remain open to further discussion.
