I've just come back from a 'fun afternoon' at Camelot House and Lodge Care Home. I must say, it was fun and great to mix with other families of residents and to now be able to be included in resident activities since Covid. It was a very relaxed environment for residents, families and staff alike. Staff
are always very caring and polite and nothing is too much trouble. Both my husband and myself really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you to all.

The staff at Camelot House and Lodge Care Home are all so fantastic at what they do. It's not just a job, they all genuinely care for all residents. The activities/entertainment department especially deserves recognition. The cleanliness of the home is brilliant and everyone is so happy to help. Visiting
is a pleasure and knowing your loved ones are in the best hands at each stage of their retirement is a blessing. Thank you Camelot.

I find the staff very caring, not just to my mum but us as well, keeping us informed all the time about the health and care given to my mum. The staff seem happy so makes the residents feel happy and safe.

My mum has been in Camelot House and Lodge Care Home since March and although she cannot walk anymore, she does seem a lot happier. I am very pleased with the care she is given. All the staff we have met are very friendly and helpful and make us feel welcome. I feel my mum is in the best place for all
her needs and know she is being well looked after.

I knew from when I first visited Camelot that it was right for my mum, from when you first enter any care setting it can be a daunting experience but straight away you could see a variety of residents and it was soon very clear to see that the residents were allowed to be as they needed, some walking,
some entertained individually and some as part of a bigger group and some just doing what they felt they needed, the staff were helping and supporting, Camelot is a busy home but I can't speak highly enough of the home, mum lived there for four and a half years and when able she took part in the many activities provided by an amazing activities team and when less able they still interacted with mum, from management to the staff that care and even to the caretakers everyone speaks and is very friendly. Mum was settled and well cared for, I feel Camelot is such a good home providing the care for mum and the support to us as a family, a dementia journey isn't easy but Camelot made ours a lot easier.

I am very pleased with the care my husband receives. The activities team have worked so hard to get him to participate. At home, he sat in a chair and did nothing and spoke to no one. The staff are always helpful, polite and professional. It was his birthday yesterday and they made it special for him.

Care and attention given to my mother was outstanding - tolerated, dealt with her dementia and physical needs in a kind, understanding and patient way - endeavoured to keep her amused and happy. In her last days, their care was above and beyond. It may not be the poshest or up-to-date place but was
always beautifully clean as was Mum and the surroundings suited Mum. Care could not have been better for Mum and us.

My husband always received excellent care at Camelot House and Lodge Care Home. He would be encouraged to join in activities but when he declined his wishes would be accepted. As his illness progressed, my husband would spend a lot of time in his room. Staff would check him regularly and try to encourage
him to go downstairs but again accepted his wishes. My husband was reluctant to eat and drink....the care staff would offer many choices and encourage him. Liaison between staff and myself was very good. I was kept informed of all changes in his condition and treated with empathy and understanding and able to visit at any time. When near the end of life, my husband and myself were treated respectfully and with dignity and understanding. I was given clear guidance about what to expect and to do. I could not have expected more from the care staff. Thank you all.

From the first day, we were made very welcome at Camelot House and Lodge Care Home. It was a traumatic time handing over a loved one to be looked after. Every time we visited, the home was immaculately clean and tidy. It was a pleasure to sit out in the garden. Covid restrictions presented the carers
with additional responsibilities but they always had a smile and never complained. Thank you for all your help and support.

Camelot House and Lodge Care Home does a great job looking after my mum. At the start of the pandemic, the activities coordinator organised a Zoom call. This was not a great success because Mum could not understand what was going on, it was nice to see her though as we could not visit at that time.
It shows that the staff care and are willing to try new things. It is nice to see the activities that are provided by the activities coordinator and the staff in the local paper.

I have always found all the staff at Camelot House and Lodge Care Home so helpful and caring in often difficult situations. Mum's room is always clean as with her clothes etc. I think I have met most of the staff in the time Mum has been at Camelot. I can't praise them enough for what they do. And have
never had the slightest reason to complain, they all do a fantastic job.

Camelot House and Lodge Care Home provides a fabulous standard of care and support for my mum. Over the last twelve months, so much about Mum's quality of life has been improved, not only her mobility and general health but also the amount of imaginative, stimulating activities that they provide for
her to do. The support that the staff provide for her, my father and myself have been of a consistently high standard...they will always listen and have also provided a shoulder to cry on when needed! Communication is very prompt should there be a problem and they keep us well-informed of any changes in Mum's condition.
It is a huge weight off my mind to know that Mum is safe, well cared and provided for - priceless!

This is the second home my father has moved to after difficult spells in hospital and another care home for people with dementia. I am so impressed with the effort the people working at the home make to do more than just accommodate him. He is always dressed in his own clothes, shaved and tidy. They
deal with problems competently and we get regular information. I'm particularly impressed with the effort they go to with entertainment and celebrations. You get the sense that this is a family home caring for people who are part of the family. Sometimes it can take a while to get through to them and they are clearly very busy but I am willing to bet that is due to funding. They are caring for my dad within the local authority cap and the first home he was at was charging loads more with half the care.
