Camelot House and Lodge

The care home staff were fantastic, all the way through.

They cared for my father with care and compassion throughout the 2 1/2 years of his stay. The home treated me, as a visitor, extremely well,m kept me informed of his condition at all times and always discussed any changes needed to his medicines/diet before acting. I think, after the initial shock, my father loved being there and it felt like home to him. Many thanks.

Staff of the care home are very kind, always helpful, keeping us informed of any changes to Dad's care. Very supportive to me at the end when Dad passed away. Would recommend this home to family and friends.

The staff at Camelot Lodge provided nine months of excellent first class care for my 88-year-old father, who had vascular dementia. They were caring in every way possible, which was exactly what we as a family wanted for him.

The care and compassion shown in caring for my wife is superb, nothing seems to be too much trouble. The accommodation is just right, the food excellent and the facilities great.

My father received excellent care from all members of staff, while he lived at Camelot House and Lodge. They treated him with dignity and respect and were very compassionate and caring. When we visited we were always welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. Over the days my father was dying the care we all received could not be faulted. I am so glad my father lived and died there.

My husband had been a resident for 8 months and was always treated with care, compassion and understanding. The staff were always kind and courteous to both residents and visitors alike. During the last days of his life, the staff were always there tending to his, and our, every need.

My first visit to view Camelot House. I was seen straight away and shown around. Residents, clean and well groomed. Clean house. Rooms spacious and clean. Plenty of staff - friendly. My step-mother was happy. Plenty of activities. Especially liked Dot (rabbit) and bird aviary.

Excellent smiling, caring staff. Great activities provided, especially the aviary and rabbit. Made Stepmother's last few days comfortable and happy. The care home was one of several we looked at, but it was the helpful happy staff that made up our minds. The food and facilities were excellent. The staff also made time to facilitate her personal 'fads' needs. An outstanding service and grateful thanks to everyone at Camelot.

He long ago requested not to be resuscitated or hospitalised. I was with him when he died and we were both cared for wonderfully and sympathetically.

All the staff are always very welcoming and friendly. They show a great level of care and patience towards the residents and are attentive and considerate towards their needs.

My mother has been living at Camelot House and Lodge for just over a year and we are delighted with how well and quickly she settled in. She initially came for respite care but very quickly regarded Camelot Lodge as her home and wanted to stay. The standard of care she receives is excellent, we cannot praise the staff too highly - their warmth, patience and professionalism is amazing.

There is a lovely atmosphere at the Lodge and plenty of activities and treats on offer. My mother enjoys taking part in whatever is going on, especially when there is music or dancing involved. She has become fond of her carers and it's a pleasure to see her interact with them.

We visit often and are always made welcome but we know when we can't be there she is in safe hands.

Her treatement by all the staff (nurses, carers, cleaners, maintenance, management) was superb. They all always knew who she was and how she was. They were on top of her needs both medical and care and my sisters and I have been able to relax as we could trust the home.

There are plenty of stimulating activities.

Every member of staff at Camelot demonstrates exceptional skills in caring for our dear mum. They are creative, dedicated, highly skilled professionals who work with our mum, and with us as her family, to provide an environment and care package around her which is focused on her best interests. We are so impressed by the care and compassion shown even in difficult and challenging situations.

My husband spent his last three months at Camelot House and words cannot express how deeply grateful we are for all the tender care and kindness that was demonstrated both to him and our family during this difficult time. The staff are truly exceptional. They were so patient and nothing was too much trouble. The home was always clean and fresh and there was a lovely happy atmosphere. He couldn't have spent his last days in a better place.

I have been visiting your home for 18 months. I have always been greeted with politeness and a smile. Sometimes I need to ask a medical question which is always answered by the nurse in charge as it should be.

Caring for people with dementia and mental disorders is really difficult (I know I have tried) but in the five months that my wife has been in Camelot House and Lodge her needs and welfare have been met to my complete satisfaction. The staff and management work very hard and in an amazingly cheerful way and I thank them all for the care given to my wife (and me).
