Since leaving the hospital I have lived in three care homes. I found The Glen Care Home to be the best. The management is hands-on and the standard of care is exceptional. The rural setting of the building is delightful.

My mum has been a resident here since October 2022. We have been welcomed as a family by all members of the staff. The team is led by excellent management and I cannot speak highly enough of the whole team. They are kind, compassionate, professional and very friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Glen Care Home.

The Glen is a friendly and caring home, which really supports residents and their families. All the staff, without exception, are extremely professional, kind and supportive. My Grannie has been a resident at The Glen for many years. She always speaks so highly of the staff who support her and I've seen first-hand the compassion they have for her and the other residents. I would highly recommend The Glen.

A dear old friend of mine is a resident and I can only speak as I find The Glen which is, what a fabulous team they are. I visit on average 3 times per week and every time I go in, the carers are friendly, caring and always on hand to answer questions and offer advice. The food always smells good and is presented well.

I am very happy that my mum has settled into her new life at The Glen. I found it very hard to have Mum placed in care. This would never have happened, had I been able to deal with her needs at home. All the staff at The Glen have been very helpful in the transition. Great service.

My wife, who died at The Glen on 13th August 2022, was a resident there for 8 years and throughout her time there, she was treated with the utmost care, kindness and dignity. The management and staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Glen to anyone and if I have to go into a care home, that would be the one for me. My thanks to all the staff, you are doing a fantastic job.

I find the staff to be very friendly and helpful, the residents needs always seem to be met very well, my mum gets looked after with dignity and a smile, nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent. Management is absolutely brilliant. I always feel very welcome and fully informed, most of the staff are always happy to chat and tell me what’s going on. Haven’t come across anyone where you think “could do without you”. Grounds are fantastic and well kept. I do feel the rooms are showing their age with dated furniture and decor but that’s not too bad. I do feel the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms could be better, that could just be down to staffing levels.

I can't thank all the team at The Glen enough for the end-of-life care they gave my Dad, and our family. The compassion and kindness shown was truly appreciated and it always felt as if nothing was too much trouble. They even let me stay in an empty room during Dad's last days. I will miss patting the donkeys in the beautiful gardens, which gave great comfort during tough times. Thanks again.

My mother has been at The Glen Care Home for 7+ years. Her care has been exemplary. Originally she was able to wash and dress herself but now at 100 she has to be assisted. I cannot fault the staff in any way.

My mother moved into The Glen in April 2021. She was frail and bedridden at this stage. The care and attention she received was exemplary. All staff were very friendly and dedicated, we were kept informed at all times. Mum was very happy at The Glen and we could not have wished for better care for the last year of her life.

Thank you to all staff.

My mother was warmly welcomed into The Glen after leaving hospital with a diagnosis of low blood pressure. The staff have cared for her with much kindness, understanding and tenderness. The nursing care was excellent and, although bed-bound, she did not suffer from bed sores nor ulcers. The staff were always pleased to see me, understood that my visits would be infrequent because of where I lived and kept me informed, at least once a month, of my mother's health and well-being.
