Cedars provides high quality 24-hour residential and nursing care, including expert care for people living with dementia.

The Cedars Nursing Home was the second attempt at finding the right for Mum and I am so happy we found them. You are always greeted with a smile from every staff member you pass. They always make you feel welcome and care about the relative's welfare just as much as the residents. The most important
thing for me was to have somewhere with calm energy as Mum has been through so much and The Cedars finally provides this. On Memory Lane, people are always treated with respect in a calm and friendly manner. Keep up the amazing work!

Our mother passed away recently after more than three years at the Cedars. The staff are all friendly, smiling and happy and Mum was really happy there. The buildings and surrounding gardens are lovely, there is a really wonderful variety of activities and events and the staff really do care for the
residents. I knew my mum was popular there but I was genuinely touched by the number in tears and offering their condolences when she passed. I would not hesitate to recommend the Cedars to anyone looking for a home for their loved ones.

A wonderful caring residential home. The staff are so friendly and the care they give is outstanding, not only to the residents but to their families. The home sits on the most beautiful grounds and is immaculate inside. My mother has only been there a short time but we are hoping she can stay as she
feels safe and not alone, mum has made some friends and is very happy.

The staff at Cedars Nursing Home always demonstrate a good knowledge of my mother, for example, will use my mother's unusual terminology when giving feedback. They use good skills to encourage her to engage in activities. The home's activities are central to the varied needs and interests of the residents
and it is lovely to see much staff involved in the activities.

Friendly staff, always available to meet the resident's needs.
The grounds are a lovely place to sit and chat over a cup of tea and relax, and often activities are going on for anyone to engage in.

I am overwhelmed at the standard of care my Mum receives at the Cedars. I moved her from another care home locally where I was very disappointed. The staff at the Cedars are fantastic. They CARE. They engage with the residents all the time. They genuinely want to make sure every resident is an individual
and every need is met. The activities are geared to individuals and there is always something going on. The staff are very open to feedback and encourage regular meetings for families to hear about where they can improve. The food looks delicious and they create individual menus for residents.
The new refurbishment is outstanding in quality and design - it's like a plush hotel!
I am always greeted with a warm welcome from reception through to nursing care, housekeeping and laundry - everyone refers to me by name and I feel the staff are happy in their jobs and proud of where they work.
Well done to the Barchester Team - you are amazing!

Our perception of The Cedars over the last three years has been poor. This is due to the high turnover of management and staff. Over the last four months, under totally new management, the care has vastly improved. We have been with the home now for over six years, and it has been a bumpy road. Continuity
of staff and management is of paramount importance to maintain the high standard of care that we expect. This far above decoration, there are just window dressings, staff and management are the important factors.

We visited my aunt on her Birthday, we were warmly welcomed. The chef made her a lovely Birthday cake. Many staff, admin, carers and her nurse wished her a Happy Birthday. She was made feel special and so were we. Thank you so much.

I always find the staff busy and occupied, but invariably very willing to assist and help with anything that will help residents feel happier or guests feel more welcome.
Staff always looking for opportunities to learn more about resident's backgrounds, too, as this can help in all interactions. I
find this highly reassuring and an indicator of an attitude of genuine care.

Cedars cared for my mother superbly so when my husband needed help, I could no longer provide (he has Lewy body dementia) I knew where to contact. He has been there for 16 months now. He is settled, extremely well cared for and genuinely loved by the carers who say he is a perfect gentleman. I can sleep
soundly.

I qualified as a nurse in 2009. I started my career back home in India for a few years before coming to the UK in 2013. I quickly found my passion for elderly care and felt a great sense of achievement when helping others live to their best potential. When the residents smile and see them happy, I know the team has done a fantastic job in enriching their lives.


I have worked as Head of Care and Deputy Manager for a few homes around London and in Hampshire. I believe I can keep up my good work to keep my residents and their loved ones happy & comfortable. I have always made a good relationship with all the multi-healthcare professionals for the well-being of my residents.


I love being out in nature and driving around in my spare time. My little one keeps me busy, the rest of the time.

My name is Michelle. I started my nursing career slightly later in life. I studied at Bournemouth University and after qualifying went to work in Bournemouth Hospital on the stroke unit. I am thoroughly enjoying leading such a strong team. Tasks related to administration are often important to keeping a business running efficiently. So, having the responsibility to complete tasks on time and in a quality manner without much oversight is crucial and really rewarding for me personally. Being in administration has many other benefits - I interact on a daily basis with residents, families, staff and the local community which can be really fun.


In my spare time, I love looking after my menagerie of animals, horse riding, and mostly just being outdoors! I also love spending quality time with my two children, who like to keep me on my toes!

Hello,


I started working for Cedars at the beginning of 2019. I have been caring for the elderly community since I was 16 years old and decided to pursue a career in Cedars where I became a Senior Care Assistant. I am also part of the Activities team. I love learning about dementia and how I can benefit those diagnosed and this led to me being a trained Dementia champion for the home.


I implement many different ideas, improving the quality of care for our residents. My focus is inclusion and making sure all residents are included in everything, not only to enable them to feel independent and purposeful but also so that they are not inadvertently excluded by others.


When I am not at work I enjoy Arts and Crafts, Vintage/Antique Fairs, Indian head massage and Reiki.

Aaron has worked in the care industry since 2013. He has previously worked as a care assistant and has re-trained to follow his passion for cooking food and promoting peoples’ well-being.
In his spare time, Aaron likes to spend time with his partner and children. They enjoy going out when the weather is nice and relaxing together as a family.

Hello. I have been working at the Cedars for two years as a Senior Carer. I really love the happy atmosphere and team work. I regularly bring my Bengal cat, Sausage dog and two Labradors in for the residents to enjoy.


In my spare time I enjoy horse riding in the beautiful local countryside. I am also a committee member on the local parish council.
