My mother moved into Harnham Croft 10 weeks ago following a serious illness. This all followed her husband's, my father's, death in November. Mum was utterly depressed and didn't want to live. My husband, sister and I visited every home in the area for numerous reasons, but mainly the people we chose
Harnham Croft. The staff have been wonderful and have gone out of their way to give Mum all the support she needs. Even the residents have embraced her. My mother is a changed person. Mum laughs and smiles again.

If your loved one has to be in a care home, I am so pleased that my wife was able to reside at Harnham Croft. Always has a friendly and caring atmosphere and a cosy feeling to feel it is home from home. Being able to visit at and when is so valuable and reassuring that all is transparent and that you
are able to read daily care records. Good communication to ensure my wife's well-being, she is always clean, well-groomed and calm. The staff are very friendly welcoming and attentive.

Although Mum was only a resident at Harnham Croft for a very short stay the family was immediately struck with the level of care and professionalism we all experienced. It was evident that the quality of management at the home permeated throughout all resident and visitor touchpoints and was hugely

My mother spent the last 16 months of her long life in the care of Harnham Croft and its staff. I cannot in any way fault the diligence, care, compassion and consideration of the staff. In her final week all the staff showed us all the utmost affection and support at what is the most difficult of times.
Thank you all, my mother was happy in your care and my siblings and I will always be grateful.

After living the majority of his life alone, it was imperative to find a care home that my uncle would be happy to live in. Harnham Croft Care Home exceeds our and more importantly my uncle's expectations. His room is fabulous and so are the staff. They are attentive and professional. He is very happy

I visited a lady in Harnham Croft over two years and met many staff. They were all so kind, caring and attentive, whatever their role. The senior staff were so professional and I knew my friend was in the safest hands. I would highly recommend this care home.

We were weekly visitors to one of your residents from July until last week, and the standard of care and friendliness shown by your staff to our friend was immense. He could not have been looked after any better. They always had time to stop and chat.

My mother entered the home following a fall and a month in hospital. Her life changed at this point. The nursing care she received at this time was wonderful from all the staff. The nurses and carers always treated her with the utmost dignity. Staff always had time for family to discuss any matters
concerning them. A positive experience at a difficult time.

My husband needed respite and was allocated a bed attic. He suffers with extreme anxiety and finds any change difficult. His stay at the home was excellent, all staff were very welcoming, enthusiastic, and professional. They made him feel safe and secure at all times, considering all his needs. They
were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. This made his short stay an enjoyable experience and we would both recommend this home to others.

My father was here for four weeks receiving palliative care. All the staff were brilliant, from the chefs to the cleaners, the care staff and nurses. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. They were always compassionate with all of our family.

“Kind care is built into everything I do. It’s about going over and beyond to ensure Residents receive the kindest care possible to benefit their quality of life.”


After gaining her degree in Geriatric Nursing in Germany, Irene has enjoyed a vast career in the care industry. As a dedicated healthcare professional, Irene has gained a wealth of experience in providing care to elderly people to help enrich their lives, leading to her progression as Home Manager.


Irene closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that means they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoyed most about her role, Irene remarked: “I love working with so many fantastic people to achieve the same goal: to provide the kindest possible care for each Resident.”


Irene credits her biggest achievement to overcoming her fear of heights and completing a skydive from 15000ft in the air.


Outside of work, Irene is a keen dancer and artist and enjoys spending quality time with her family.
