I visited a lady in Harnham Croft over two years and met many staff. They were all so kind, caring and attentive, whatever their role. The senior staff were so professional and I knew my friend was in the safest hands. I would highly recommend this care home.

We were weekly visitors to one of your residents from July until last week, and the standard of care and friendliness shown by your staff to our friend was immense. He could not have been looked after any better. They always had time to stop and chat.

My mother entered the home following a fall and a month in hospital. Her life changed at this point. The nursing care she received at this time was wonderful from all the staff. The nurses and carers always treated her with the utmost dignity. Staff always had time for family to discuss any matters concerning them. A positive experience at a difficult time.

My husband needed respite and was allocated a bed attic. He suffers with extreme anxiety and finds any change difficult. His stay at the home was excellent, all staff were very welcoming, enthusiastic, and professional. They made him feel safe and secure at all times, considering all his needs. They were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. This made his short stay an enjoyable experience and we would both recommend this home to others.

My father was here for four weeks receiving palliative care. All the staff were brilliant, from the chefs to the cleaners, the care staff and nurses. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. They were always compassionate with all of our family.

The care staff were absolutely fabulous with Mum. Always attentive and caring, which at times must have been difficult. They were also friendly towards all the family. The nurse in charge was always professional and efficient, so too were the other trained nurses.
Mother could not have gone to a nicer care home and we are so glad we chose Harnham Croft Care Home for her final months.

The admin staff were lovely. So helpful, friendly and always made to feel our views mattered. Thank you all so much.

Very caring and understanding to both residents and outside people.

Although staff are very busy nothing is too much trouble to explain and talk through worries about resident.

Overall a good experience.
A few criticisms for you to improve.
1) First evening here I was cold and lonely. the bed was not the right sort, but it was changed the next day.
Could someone have come and talked to me on that first evening?
2) When calling for help at night, it took a long time for anyone to arrive. On one occasion 3/4 of an hour.

3) Food. Could you offer a bedtime drink between 8-10pm?

My father was admitted for end of life care after a somewhat-traumatic experience in hospital. The staff and management could not have been kinder or more attentive to his needs and his care. They allowed him to die with dignity and with his self respect intact. I cannot thank the staff enough for making this possible. Their attention to detail was impressive, nothing was too much trouble for them and they went out of their way to make visiting relatives (some of whom had travelled long distances) feel welcome.

My dad moved to Harnham Croft Care Home in the middle of the pandemic. The whole team did everything to support Dad and the family.
He has been happy, well looked after and treated as an individual.

A special mention to the nurse/management who has been an incredible support. She is friendly, professional and exceptional at her job.

I booked my parents into Harnham Croft for a period of respite to cover Christmas/New Year and to ensure that they would be properly cared for during the festive period.
From being greeted into the home until their departure date, my folks received first-class care and attention. The staff were considerate to their needs and showed levels of compassion befitting their profession and when the occasion required it.
Their rooms were spotlessly clean as was the whole nursing home, especially the dining, lounge areas and other common rooms. The whole place was light and airy and filled with a fresh aroma, so unlike similar establishments.
My parents were very pleased with the variety and standard of the meals provided and enjoyed the meals in the dining room which allowed them an opportunity to interact with other residents and pass the time of day.
In general, all levels of staff were polite and courteous throughout their stay and nothing was ever too much bother for them. Time permitting, the staff were engaging and were happy to enter into conversational chit chat to the delight of an elderly person.

Would they return to Harnham Court? A definite 'Yes'!

Harnham Croft have been outstanding in the care of my mother-in-law. She was very poorly when she arrived at Harnham Croft in November 2020 without their absolute dedicated care and help she would not have recovered to where she is now. Even with Covid 19 we were informed and assisted as much as possible in relation to her welfare and our allowed visits. Thank you all so very much; you have been marvellous in every way possible.

I was extremely grateful to be able to visit my friend. She and I have known each other since she taught me when I was 5 years old in Primary school. That was over 45 years ago. I want to say a huge thank you firstly to Harnham Croft for allowing the visit to go ahead 'Covid safe' and secondly, I want to write to you to say how caring, friendly and happy the staff I met at your lovely home were. One carer, in particular, is a real asset to your home.
