My mother has been here for about three weeks. I have found all the staff very friendly and helpful.
Henford House is extremely comfortable and a lovely atmosphere. She has a very comfortable room and nothing seems too much trouble concerning my mother.
The choice of food is very good.

Henford House Nursing Home is an exceptional care home with dedicated and hard working staff who are always friendly, helpful, kind and considerate. The care home is always spotlessly clean and warm and the food from the kitchen is first class with a great menu! There is always a member of staff available
to discuss any concerns, either in person or over the phone. A model for all care homes - excellent!

I regularly visit my friend. We often sit in the lounge and enjoy the entertainment, having a little sing song. My friend is very happy here and she says the staff are lovely.

My mother has been in Henford House Nursing Home for nearly a year, during this time she has been looked after very well. I visit nearly every day and find everyone friendly and helpful, there you can always find somebody if you have any queries.

From the moment we first visited the home we were impressed with the homely, friendly environment. All the staff we met were outstanding with their hospitality and care of not only Mum but any visitors! In Mums final days nothing was too much trouble and we were grateful for their sensitive, caring

My wife and I have a Lasting Power of Attorney for a family friend who has been in Henford House for 3 1/2 years with early onset dementia, other mental health issues, severe leg ulcers, circulatory and respiratory problems. We chose Henford as we had previous experience with my late mother in law
and knew their personal and health care care to be good.


Our friend is insular and a very challenging resident but the staff still manage him with a cheery smile and he admits that the care is excellent.


For the first 3 years he refused to leave his room and only left it for a shower or hospital appointments/admission. However, the Activities team eventually persuaded him to take escorted trips out and this has greatly improved his view on life.


We made absolutely the right call in selecting Henford for our friend.

Henford House is the most welcoming care home. It is 100% clean- no smells often associated with care homes. 100% professional staff. 100% caring staff. More like a real home than an 'institution'. Beautifully decorated. Rooms better than some hotel rooms! Food- amazing.

My goal is to ensure that all of our residents and their families and visitors feel comfortable and can enjoy being in this beautiful and welcoming environment; and that the staff feel fully supported to perform at their very best.
I began my career as a Speech and Language Therapist, working with adults in hospitals, care homes and in the community. Having moved into leadership and management has provided me the opportunity to drive high standards of care and ensure that people are valued as individuals. I am committed to continuing with these goals in line with the high standards and superior lifestyle delivered throughout Barchester.
The highlight of my work is spending time with the people we support, and I am always available to have a chat about our home, services, staff, and most importantly, our residents.

I have been at Henford House for more than 30 years. I am the Head of Housekeeping and I am responsible for keeping the housekeeping standards high. I am very proud of my role here and have a fantastic team which keeps the home in immaculate condition!


I oversee the laundry and the domestic teams, as well as supporting the kitchen team, I will gladly help out anywhere in the home.


I enjoy my position here, and I am always happy to help our residents and their families with questions or worries.
I have 3 grown-up children and a dog who all keep me very busy outside of work.

I have worked in Henford as a nurse since 2014. Many things have changed over that time, but the essence of what we do has never changed.
I am usually found working on days and my husband Daniel works at night here.
I am always happy to help out with any questions you may have about your loved ones here. I am in regular contact with the doctors and pharmacies to ensure medications are checked regularly, and our residents are healthy.
I originally came from Romania and can speak fluent Italian.

I joined Henford House in March 2014; after five and a half years of domiciliary care, this position became available at Henford and I decided that it would be great to do more of the fun things in life with residents! It is great here at home; we get along so well and truly have some laughs. Residents have a wide range of activities to participate in each week, including armchair exercises, bingo sessions, singalongs, musical entertainment, pottery, manicures, celebrations and much more. It is very rewarding knowing that people are grateful for the work I've done when I go. Working here has also given me the opportunity to gain my Level 2 NAPA certificate.

I joined Henford House Care Home in 1989 as the Gardener, I thoroughly enjoy my job.
The grounds are fabulous, and I have taken great pride in building a beautiful environment for our residents and visitors to enjoy - weather permitting.
I also hold a weekly Gardening club with the Residents, which is very popular. Many of the residents have had a life-long interest and passion for gardening, and it is wonderful that I am able to support them to continue with this.

I joined Henford House in 1997 as a Laundry assistant and had my 25 years of Service award celebrations in 2022. I'm working towards my 30 year aware now!
Working as a laundry assistant here is much more than just working in the laundry - I get to spend time with every resident, and have been able to build friendships with many of them.
This is a beautiful place to work.
