Kimberly East Care Centre is a twenty-seven capacity accommodation that is well staffed, resourced and equipped for delivering a versatile service.

Residents receive attention and personalised care plans from qualified professionals, as well as having their own freedoms and dignity respected and being able to pursue the hobbies and interests that suit them.

The purpose built home is spacious and has good wheelchair access, with residents who are looking to pursue an independent lifestyle having many convenient amenities nearby. My father in law came to Kimberley East in April 1923 after a spell in hospital. When it became clear that he was not going to be able to be cared for at home we worried about what sort of a care home he was going to spend his final year's in, we need not have worried and the whole family have been
so happy with his care.
My father in law was not always easy to care for but there has never been a time when we have not seen him cared for with dignity and humour which he, and the rest of the family appreciated. The family all tried to make sure he had a visit every day, and we were always made to feel very welcome, we were even allowed to bring our dog Ted to visit (he loved coming in and making friends). Sadly my father in law passed away on the 4th July and we all want to say Thank you for the care and compassion you showed us all. The best recommendation I can give is that if I need to be cared for in the years to come I hope Kimberley East have a space for me.

Although mum was only resident here for a short time, the care and compassion shown to her and us as a family at a very difficult time was faultless. All the staff were so friendly and reactive to any questions or help we needed.

I cannot express enough how wonderful the care home at Kimberly East Care Centre has been. From the moment I walked in, the staff made us feel welcomed and reassured. the care home is warm, clean and inviting and its clear that they take pride in maintaining it. The staff members were genuinely caring
and compassionate. My father was well looked after and the food was very good and you could help yourselves to drinks and cake! I would recommend this care home.

My mother suffered from Alzheimer's and spent her last 11 months in Kimberly East. From day 1 the staff were excellent & dealt with my mother with care, compassion & sometimes humour. Our family were very satisfied with the care my mum received.

For something I was not prepared for, initlaly I found everything depressing and daunting. My mum has now been up there for other a year now and the experience is easier slightly. The staff are very polite which helps. I have limited my visits to mainly 1 weekly visits instead of every other day which
again helps to deal with the satcetation. I did enjoy the summer party in the garden. Hopefully I will be present when the birds of prey are next booked.

Overall the care my Mother received was excellent allowing her to recuperate and get better so she could go home.
However, the main concern she had and I also raised to the team was that her food was served cold, although on a hot plate.
Considering the cost of the stay she felt that it should be
at least hot as this constantly worried her. Bedsheets only change once in three weeks - her statement - I hope that this issue is resolved for future residents.

I am surprised to hear Mum felt the food was cold I will take this forward and discuss with the kitchen team so we appreciate you letting us know. However we are so glad that the care provided was excellent.

Visited Mum today, she seemed quite good today; had her hair done and was making cakes earlier. The staff were all very good and were very busy.
One issue was with her lunch, she was given pasta with her mince. She doesn't like pasta and after previously speaking with a particular staff member a list
of foods that she prefers was given.

I can't thank the Manager and all the staff at Kimberley East enough for their care and compassion towards my father who spent the last 6 months of his life being cared for with respect, dignity, and warmth.
It gave the family a sense of peace to know he was finally getting the care he deserved. During
his final hours, we were all well looked after and couldn't have asked for more.

All the staff are amazing, extremely polite, helpful and always seem happy. The care my husband receives is first-class. The only improvement would be to have a monthly or bi-monthly update.

I've always received a welcoming atmosphere on arrival and departure, along with any necessary instructions. All staff are very courteous and attentive to their residents and visitors. The building and grounds are suitable and safe to allow exercise. I've witnessed care and support treated with dignity
and kindness to all. (Value for money - I'm sorry I do not know the cost)

My first impression of the care centre was that it was purpose-built with the best of equipment for moving residents easily, my wife being unable to help herself. The staff have always been kind, considerate and unhurried. As a regular visitor, I receive as much consideration as do the residents. I
give full marks to all who work and those who manage the centre.

Dad has been at Kimberley East since April and during that time has received excellent care and been shown kindness by all the staff. At 96 years old and previously living independently in his own home, our family was worried he would find the adjustment to living in care difficult. The staff have ensured
that he has settled happily and in many ways, his life is richer because he has company every day and has enjoyed making friends with both the other residents and the staff. They have become a second family.
Before entering the care home, his leg ulcer was so bad that the Consultant at the hospital advised his only option was amputation, but over the time he has been at Kimberley East the treatment that he has been given by the nursing staff has meant that the ulcer has improved and amputation is no longer needed. What a result.
My family can't thank the staff enough and hope that Dad is able to spend the remainder of his days in this safe, comfortable home from home.

Recently my sister passed away in Kimberly East Care Centre after a five-month stay. Whilst she was there the whole staff from the top all the way down were absolutely great with her care and professionalism. Nothing was too much trouble and at all times anything that I was not sure of was explained
to me. Unfortunately, because of my sister's illness, I don't think she fully appreciated her stay in the home. The home is modern and always spotlessly clean. They have all the equipment and willingness to make a resident's stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible with entertainment on most afternoons. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is in the unfortunate position of needing a place for a loved one. I thank all, and I mean all the staff for what they did for my sister.

Kimberly East has been absolutely amazing. My mum came to Kimberly East from the hospital as she was not quite fit enough to come home due to her Alzheimer's. The staff were so welcoming and looked after my mum beautifully. She is so much stronger now and is really happy in her daily routine. Our family
cannot thank them enough. They really do care which is so comforting at such an emotional time.

Job Title: RCM, RMA Operations Director & Registered Care Manager Joined: 2001

Jodie joined our team in October 2001 as a junior carer. She worked as a welfare coordinator between our homes and the local community, before becoming Deputy Manager at Milford Manor, Manager at Holmwood, and then set up the Community Care Team with the support of Agnes Atras (Head of Care). She later became the company-wide Service Manager until she joined the Board in 2015 as the Operations Director. Today Jodie is the most senior Operations Manager responsible for all day to day operational matters across the company.
