My mother loves the home. She is very well looked after. The staff are caring and supportive to her needs. If ever there is a problem they let me know. Her wishes are always met with kindness and understanding. The staff are all hardworking people with the happiness and wellbeing of the residents at heart.

Both my parents were residents of Church View Care Home for just over 3 years. During their time there they were both looked after in a way that was caring and attentive. The staff were always thoughtful and caring to the residents family. Issues that arose during their stay were always addressed and resolved in a professional and acceptable manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending Church view Care Home.

In almost seven years of residence, the overall experience of Mother's care has been positive.

Frequent staff changes in the past have been disconcerting, however, lately a more settled staffing and number of staff provide a more positive atmosphere. As a visitor only, I would comment that the meals appear a little unimaginative.

My parents entered Church View nursing home 3 years ago. They have been really happy there, always cared for by caring happy staff who helped make Church view their home. Unfortunately both my parents passed away in March and April of this year. Myself and my family cannot thank all the management, nursing staff, carers, domestic and activity coordinators for treating my parents with outstanding care, kindness and dignity. I believe they received the best care possible. Thank you Church View for treating my parents as though they were your own.

Dad was placed in Church View for end of life care on the 17th April. We were very anxious about Dad going into a nursing home, but during the 2 weeks he was there Dad was treated with the utmost kindness and respect and his dignity was retained at all times. No one could have done more to have made his short stay any better. As a family, we were kept informed of how Dad was at all times, both on the phone and in person. The facilities were clean and tidy and Dad had a lovely, light, airy room overlooking the garden. Additionally, staff took a genuine interest in Dad as an individual with his likes and dislikes being taken into consideration. Dad could not have been placed in a more caring and safe environment and we would have no hesitation in recommending Church View to anyone in a similar situation requiring nursing care. We cannot thank them enough.

A good standard care home with pleasant staff, especially those who have English as a second language. The recent improvement in activities is very welcome and the staff involved have made some great new ideas.

The increase in fees is unwelcome and charge for small items family meals is disappointing considering what we already pay.

My dad has been in the unfortunate position to need full nursing care for the past 16 months, after leaving hospital. Once the care team have got familiar with my dad, the care and support he has received from all the staff cannot be faulted and his medical/personal needs are met to a very high standard.

My only concern is the continual staff changes, which unfortunately can't be avoided.

I find the staff very friendly and very helpful. They keep me updated on mum's medication and well-being. The new cook gives advice about the menu and the food is good. The home is always kept clean and safe.

My husband and I find Church View quite satisfactory for our needs.
We are happy with our room, having a nice view of the garden.

Perhaps the menu could be a bit more varied with more fresh veg.

Overall Experience

My mother took up residence at Church View in December 2015. It was something she did not want but she needed to have 24/7 care. The staff gave her a wonderful welcome, encouraged her to join the other residents for her Christmas meal and after 7 months there she has just celebrated her first birthday in the home and is comfortable and well cared for. My mother is a very independent sole and is not of a social nature. The staff are attentive, look after her well. She has put on weight and they never insist that she leaves her room if she does not want to and she is quite happy watching the TV and snoozing. On the occasions that I visit her, the staff are friendly and I always leave, happy that she is in the right place with the right people looking after her. My mother has nothing but praise for the care that she receives and never ceases to say how kind everyone is to her and that I could not have picked a better place for her to be. I cannot recommend this home highly enough.
