Church View is situated on the outskirts of Stratton and is easily accessible by public transport. The purpose-built home is beautifully decorated to create a warm and homely environment for the residents, whilst providing the best care possible.

The home welcomes relatives at any time and they are encouraged to take part in all the activities that take place in the home.

Church View has a highly trained staff team to support residents in all aspects of their daily living and offer a range of activities to suit most tastes.

All meals are freshly prepared on-site by the chefs and residents can choose from the menu daily, or an alternative should they wish. Drinks and snacks are widely available throughout the day and night.

The home has gardens which includes a summer house. There is an on-site cafe open for residents and visitors daily.

A good standard care home with pleasant staff, especially those who have English as a second language. The recent improvement in activities is very welcome and the staff involved have made some great new ideas.
The increase in fees is unwelcome and charge for small items family meals is disappointing
considering what we already pay.

My dad has been in the unfortunate position to need full nursing care for the past 16 months, after leaving hospital. Once the care team have got familiar with my dad, the care and support he has received from all the staff cannot be faulted and his medical/personal needs are met to a very high standard.
My
only concern is the continual staff changes, which unfortunately can't be avoided.

I find the staff very friendly and very helpful. They keep me updated on mum's medication and well-being. The new cook gives advice about the menu and the food is good. The home is always kept clean and safe.

My husband and I find Church View quite satisfactory for our needs.
We are happy with our room, having a nice view of the garden.
Perhaps the menu could be a bit more varied with more fresh veg.

Lovely, staff are wonderful.
Surpassed my expectations.
So wonderful to have my hair washed and set after 5 months in the hospital.
Lovely nurses. Very comfortable. Peaceful.
Looking forward to meeting other residents when I feel up to it.

My mother took up residence at Church View in December 2015. It was something she did not want but she needed to have 24/7 care. The staff gave her a wonderful welcome, encouraged her to join the other residents for her Christmas meal and after 7 months there she has just celebrated her first birthday
in the home and is comfortable and well cared for. My mother is a very independent sole and is not of a social nature. The staff are attentive, look after her well. She has put on weight and they never insist that she leaves her room if she does not want to and she is quite happy watching the TV and snoozing. On the occasions that I visit her, the staff are friendly and I always leave, happy that she is in the right place with the right people looking after her. My mother has nothing but praise for the care that she receives and never ceases to say how kind everyone is to her and that I could not have picked a better place for her to be. I cannot recommend this home highly enough.

I have been working in the care industry for 23 years. My First job as a carer was in Church View Nursing Home. I worked my way up to becoming a senior carer. In 2006 decided to train as a nurse and went for my Training in 2007. I worked in different care homes before; I came back to Church View as it was close to my house. I worked as a nurse, and an opportunity came for a Deputy, which I applied for and took the position, then now I am a manager of the same home, where I worked as a carer and started my working life. It’s the proudest moment of my life. CWC is a family-run business and has been built with the Hard work of the owners and has come a long way. I like working as I have been supported with the work, as I am new to the management team.


Everyone helps each other and would happily guide you. I also like the CWC team; they are goal-oriented, and there is room to grow. My inspiration is caring for people. This gives me Happiness and great satisfaction.
