I was so lucky to have been offered a room for my husband at Fitzwarren House and he moved there in November 2015 from another care home. Since he has been there, he has really improved, which is due to the care and interaction from the staff who are so loving and caring to all the resident. The are very supportive to relatives as well. The home is spotless, food is good but the staff are absolutely brilliant, cannot be faulted in anyway. Love, love this place. Thank you so much for caring for my husband xx

My wife and I were lucky enough to be offered a place for my father-in-law, who badly needed 24 hour care. Fitzwarren House personified and excelled in delivering what we had hoped for, in terms of caring for my father-in-law in what was to become, a brief stay.

The compassion and care shown by all, is a credit to what Fitzwarren House stands for. The importance of an individuals dignity being retained through illness is effortlessly delivered. Everything about Fitzwarren House is quite brilliant. Staff magnificent day and night.

Absolutely amazing care, compassion and empathy for my dad. Although he was only here for a short time receiving end of life care. Dad was treated with the utmost respect at all times. The compassion and support shown to me and my family was second to none. All staff are caring, compassionate and dedicated, an absolute credit to MHA.

Background: my father has been living in this care home for nearly 3 years and has been very happy and contented with all aspects of the home over this time. He broke his hip in July 2015, the care manager and care assistant (SD) were wonderful with him whilst waiting for the ambulance.

On his return from hospital some 7 + days later he was confined to bed as the hospital had failed to mobilise him. He was put on a pain patch by the hospital which knocked him out - staff at the home had to now feed him. In December 2015 the patch was removed due to a medical review and dad became more aware of his surroundings.

Staff started to get him up and dressed, using the hoist and taking him to the day/dining room - something his family had given up hope of ever seeing again. Although he needs 24 hours care ever more he is now able to hold a sandwich and drink from a beaker - a miracle. This has been achieved by the kind care of staff especially the care manager who has been marvellous with dad.

My dad has been in this home for only 2 months and he is as happy as can be. He was in another home 3 years previously and went down-hill dramatically! Since being in this home he has picked up already.
The staff, management all do an excellent job. The care is perfect. The home is so clean, it could pass as a 5* hotel. The meals look lovely (haven't had the chance to try yet).

Overall, this is a warm, lovely, clean and caring care home. Couldn't ask for better.

The staff incredibly kind and conscientious when caring for my mother whilst she had a respite stay here. She has two live in carers at her house and I believe the staff did all they possibly could to ensure my mother enjoyed her stay with them nothing seemed too much trouble. They called me if they felt I needed to know about a change in mums medication and reassured whenever I asked questions about how they would be caring for mum before she went to the home. I cannot praise them highly enough.

Mum went to Fitzwarren directly from hospital. The welcome was very warm, all the staff came to see her with flowers, and the minister brought her biscuits. The staff are all very professional and caring, they have time both for Mum and the rest of the family.
Mum has a lovely room and bathroom/wetroom, which are a good size and nicely furnished, and Mum has her own things around her.

She is comfortable and happy at Fitzwarren and the family are happy that she is being well looked after.

When the decision was made for my Mother to go into a care home, the family was devastated. The weeks that followed were hard as we carried out the impossible task to find somewhere that was right for Mum. Then came the wonderful day we found Fitzwarren House. As soon as we walked in the front door, we knew we had found Mums new home. We cannot express how grateful we are to the wonderful staff there. Mums physical, emotional and spiritual needs were met totally and unconditionally during her time there.

In the days leading up to her passing, staff showed genuine sadness and love towards Mum. Also, the family were fed, watered, hugged and listened to, which made this traumatic time so much easier to bear. We will be forever grateful to Fitzwarren House, that Mums last few years were made as comfortable as possible by these wonderful carers....who are worth their weight in gold.
