I have found the whole experience of the care and facilities at Abbey Rose excellent. To see my friend so happy and settled is such a relief. All the staff are very happy, friendly and professional.

The staff and management were the best money could buy. My wife could not have better treatment if I had been a millionaire. When my wife passed away she could not have been in a better place or looked after by better people. They all deserve due recognition. If I need looking after I know where to

I have been a full-time resident since August 2019 The home is fabulous, extremely clean and comfortable. The nurses and carers can't do enough for you no matter what the time is. All my visitors including professionals say how they are made feel welcome and that is one of the cleanest they have visited.
In
summary, it's a real home from home, in fact, it's like a 5-star hotel.

Mum came in two months ago for end of life care. We could not have asked for better care - the staff have all been kind, caring and very loving. They have gone above and beyond the call of duty, not only for Mum but Dad and I as well.
Her room was lovely, I only wish she could have appreciated it
more.
The facilities are second to none - the whole home is spotlessly clean. Mum would have approved.

My grandad was looked after brilliantly here by the staff and it really was a home from home for him. He was looked after really well, especially by one particular lady there and would really appreciate someone passing on her name and contact details to us so we could thank her properly. I would recommend
this place to other families for sure if needed.

The staff are extremely good. The care home is very spacious. It has a calming effect even on me and the people who come to visit my husband. He also expressed how happy he was. Looking forward to bringing him back another time and may God keep the staff faithful as they keep up the good works.

My friend has such amazing personal care here at Abbey Rose. 1000% improved on the previous home. Shaved, washed properly every day. Everyone is trying to make a difference to his day, encouraging him to try food. My friend had virtually given up on food. You are making a difference. I visit every day
so I can see how clean he is. The home is 100% immaculate.
The presentation of food, impeccable, goes the extra mile. The chef is talented. Keep him.

Abbey Rose, Erdington is a wonderful home.
It is totally different to any other care home I have visited - more like a 5-star hotel.
The staff are so friendly and caring. The home has been meticulously planned and feels like a home - not an institution.

My mother has been at Abbey Rose Home nearly 15 months and her well being is top priority. Every need is met and you are always able to have a chat with any member of staff. A review is always available and you can check her daily record of weight or sleep etc at any time. They have regular visits from
hairdresser, chiropody, optician and dentist. A lovely place for a challenging situation.

When I first visited Abbey Rose I knew that this was the place for our Dad. It is maintained beautifully and provides an extremely comfortable environment for all residents.
Dad was the first Sikh resident at Abbey Rose, with educating the staff they were able to fulfil his cultural needs.
The
exceptional caring nature of all the Staff Team, from receptionists to carers, nurses, chefs, cleaners, managers, maintenance and activities coordinator. All of you are Amazing and we will never forget your kindness, you all helped me and our family to be with Dad and Cared for us too.

Excellent. The home is bespoke, the staff first class, helpful, attentive, caring, the rooms are hotel 5 star * rating. It feels incredible. I asked my husband do you want to go back to your last care home, he replied 'no way'! The care manager, nurses, carers and activity leader have pulled out the
stops. I'm elated, can't congratulate you enough, delighted. Every aspect seems to have been thought of. Very much approve of the personal pin entrance system. Spacious hallway, staff on reception 100% efficient and friendly, not too over-familiar. Perfect.

My father moved to Abbeyrose in Dec 18 due to ill health and losing his mobility. Whilst it is not an easy decision to make placing a parent in care, like many people nowadays who are working full time and have children at school it becomes a necessity.


Two years ago I first visited Abbeyrose and

met with the manager following dads stroke however he was able to continue his independence to some extent so I didn’t need a place for him then, immediately I took to the manager she was warm and caring and I felt comforted that dad would be well cared for when that time came. So I was very pleased when I visited last year she was still there.


Dad has been there three months now and it is a huge weight lifted off my mind to know he is very well looked after. I have met all the staff as I visit regularly, nurses, carers, cook, maintenance, laundry staff are all fantastic.


There’s a really good ethos there, well done all.

Abbey Rose Nursing Home is an extremely well organised home, the team work is great.
The care they provided for my sister was excellent, the staff are caring compassionate and loving.
They set themselves a high standard and keep to it.

Over the last eighteen months, I have witnessed kindness and concern from all the staff towards my dad as well as towards us, his relatives and friends. The staff respect dad's privacy and dignity. I never worry about dad all the time like I had to when he lived on his own, as I know if there is a problem
and the staff are concerned they will call me, or my brother. Dad receives excellent individualised care that meets his changing needs.


I guess what I want to say is that nothing is ever too much for the staff even when they are really busy. All of them, the nurses, care assistants, admin staff, laundry man, cleaners, kitchen staff, everyone. Including the managers for running the home well. They all keep smiling and are truly professional.


Many times we are quick to criticise but slow to applaud good work. I applaud the staff and thank them from the bottom of my heart for the hard work they all do. I just wanted you to know that there is good care going on.

I couldn't have wished for a better place for my mother to spend her last days. Even though she was very ill, the staff and nurses treated her with great care and compassion right to the end. They also managed the final arrangments quickly and with sensitivity, which was such a help at a very difficult
time. My sincere thanks to the nursing staff and management on behalf of all the family.

My mum love being at Abbeyrose Nursing Home, she is so happy and well cared for. The staff have been wonderful. I live in London so I need to know my mum is well looked after 24/7 and she 100% is at Abbeyrose. I can't thank them enough for all they do for her.

The staff and management at Abbeyrose Nursing Home have been excellent from the first day mam was a resident. All have been very friendly and caring to my mother but equally have taken the time to talk to her relatives when ever we visit. Nothing is too much trouble for them and we think mom is responding
well to the high quality of care she is receiving.

Lawrence

Lawrence Padolina

Job Title: Abbey Rose Manager Joined: 2019

A nurse from the Philippines, I completed my BSc in Nursing in 1995.


I started as a volunteer nurse in a Community hospital for 6 months before I went to Libya, where I worked for almost 3 years as an A&E and ICU nurse. During this time, I got married and our first daughter was born in 1998.


Arriving in the UK in early 2001, I worked for BUPA, moving up the ranks to Charge Nurse, Unit Lead and eventually Deputy Manager. After 18 years, I decided to look for a company that offered further progression, and I found MACC Care. In February 2019, I joined Abbey Rose as one of the Clinical Leads and was promoted to Home Manager in August 2021.


My wife is also a nurse, and together we have four daughters. When I’m not working, I love sports, especially basketball. My favourite food apart from our national dish (Adobo) is sushi, curry, and nothing beats barbeque spare ribs in barbeque sauce!
