Abbey Rose Care Home

My mum was one of the first residents of the new facility and was made to feel at home immediately. Her accommodation and surroundings are everything we wished for her. It’s clean, bright and has a very happy feel about it. The relationship between my mum and her carers is lovely to see. She loves them and they love her. They treat her exactly as we would. She can be a little difficult at times but they seem to know how to get to her better side! She always looks clean and tidy and they see to it that she has regular hairdressing appointments and some kind soul even does her nails! The coronavirus has, of course, changed things but throughout, I have felt that the care and welfare of the residents was put first and in my opinion has been exemplary. The new visiting facilities are sheer genius and enable us all to be safe. A huge thank you to all the staff for the extra mile they’ve gone to keep up morale in these very difficult times. If mom’s happy then so are we!

Dad became a resident of Abbey Rose in June 2020 as this was the best place for his needs. The family were all made to feel very welcome by the friendly staff, and we felt reassured that he was being well looked after in these most difficult of times. We had heard of lots of nice activities that the home arranges for residents, but unfortunately due to Covid, dad wasn't able to experience these. We would definitely recommend Abbey Rose Care Home to anyone who requires the care.

During the COVID time, everyone has been extremely helpful. Using Whatsapp has made it more bearable and with a big birthday, the management did everything they could to make it a happy time.

Mother has been treated extremely well and has access to all her requirements. Staff are very helpful and obliging. The entire operation is well run, and nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff. Congratulations on running such an organised home. The family can't thank you enough.

Mom transferred from a care home to Abbey Rose as she needed nursing care. We could not believe our good fortune when Abbey Rose accepted Mom as a resident. Having waited over 12-months to post this review; I can say that everything which we were told would happen has, a change in the home manager has not created any difference to the smooth operation of the home from a relatives point of view, lockdown arrived, we have been kept informed throughout, the home has remained COVID free and finally Mom was 90 early in July, we were unable to go in and see her, we delivered our cards and gifts to the reception, the staff sent us a video and pictures of mom on her birthday. Yesterday was my first visit to see mom as restrictions are being lifted, she was her usual self, safe and well cared for. Many thanks to the team at Abbey Rose and, especially, the great team on Daisy Floor. Would certainly recommend Abbey Rose as a good place.

My dad was moved to this care home in December 2019. The staff made him comfortable and put his mind at ease during this new experience. They treated my dad with care and assisted with all his needs. Sadly my dad passed away on 2nd May 2020. During this time, they treated him with great respect and kept his dignity at all times. The staff kept me up to date with his conditions several times a day. I can't thank the staff enough.

Every time we phoned a member of staff was always kind and helpful. The home let us speak to our mother and video call her. This really helped us at such a difficult time. Thank you all so much.

My Mom was only in the care home for a few weeks after a seven-week stay in hospital. The staff were very welcoming when I arrived and very reassuring that they would take good care of my Mom. This they did to a high level. They were caring, compassionate and understanding. Due to the coronavirus, the family were unable to visit but the staff made video calls so we could see Mom. This reassured us and enabled the family to relax knowing our Mom was being so well looked after. When my Mom was near the end of her life, the staff kept in touch with me and were so thoughtful of our feelings and made this sad event easier to cope with.

Well done Abbey Rose, keep up the excellent work you do. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The staff and management were the best money could buy. My wife could not have better treatment if I had been a millionaire. When my wife passed away she could not have been in a better place or looked after by better people. They all deserve due recognition. If I need looking after I know where to come.

In summary, it's a real home from home, in fact, it's like a 5-star hotel.

The facilities are second to none - the whole home is spotlessly clean. Mum would have approved.

My grandad was looked after brilliantly here by the staff and it really was a home from home for him. He was looked after really well, especially by one particular lady there and would really appreciate someone passing on her name and contact details to us so we could thank her properly. I would recommend this place to other families for sure if needed.

The staff are extremely good. The care home is very spacious. It has a calming effect even on me and the people who come to visit my husband. He also expressed how happy he was. Looking forward to bringing him back another time and may God keep the staff faithful as they keep up the good works.

The presentation of food, impeccable, goes the extra mile. The chef is talented. Keep him.

Fabulous - well-done team.

My mother has been at Abbey Rose Home nearly 15 months and her well being is top priority. Every need is met and you are always able to have a chat with any member of staff. A review is always available and you can check her daily record of weight or sleep etc at any time. They have regular visits from hairdresser, chiropody, optician and dentist. A lovely place for a challenging situation.

Excellent. The home is bespoke, the staff first class, helpful, attentive, caring, the rooms are hotel 5 star * rating. It feels incredible. I asked my husband do you want to go back to your last care home, he replied 'no way'! The care manager, nurses, carers and activity leader have pulled out the stops. I'm elated, can't congratulate you enough, delighted. Every aspect seems to have been thought of. Very much approve of the personal pin entrance system. Spacious hallway, staff on reception 100% efficient and friendly, not too over-familiar. Perfect.

My father has recently moved to the new Abbey Rose Home in Erdington. What a beautiful home! Well done everyone and the fact that the staff have also moved across is brilliant, so important! Thank you!
