Overall Experience
My father moved into Cedar Lodge Nursing Home in June 2024. He had been suffering from vascular dementia and Alzheimer's for approximately 5 years. Doctors advised that we could no longer give him the 24 hour care, that he needed a home, so reluctantly we moved him to Cedar Lodge. What a fantastic decision, the staff were absolutely fantastic, every single member of staff I couldn't fault them so kind caring and patient. The home it self is homely not sterile and lifeless, like many far more expensive places. The residents are cared for, kept clean and happy totally, unbelievable, not forced to get up at a certain time or go to bed which in my fathers case was a blessing as he didn't like going to bed.
My father was happy here. Although we visited him every other day, not once did he ask to come home.

Unfortunately my dad passed away this week, and the care and compassion that they showed not only towards my dad in his final days, but to all of our family will never be forgotten.
