I've been visiting two friends on a weekly basis for many months, sadly we lost one of them in March of this year.
My other friend is still with us and being cared for and still has her usual spark.
We have found the staff to be very helpful and supportive in many ways and carry out their duties to
the best of their ability.

Overall my experience at the home is good. My mom seems happy, is treated with the respect and dignity I would expect. Range of food choices is good. Social events and activities are held on a regular basis which is good for residents to keep their minds active.
I feel I can speak to staff and carers
about my mom's care and voice any concerns.

Mom is very well looked after. She is treated like one of the family by all the staff. They cater for all her needs. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is varied and delicious. The entertainment is enjoyable. The staff go above and beyond.

The care that my Mom receives is exceptional. She's very happy and settled. Perry Locks was a good choice as she's been in another home and we had a lot of concerns re: her care. The staff are very friendly and caring. She regards them as family.

My mother is based in Perry Hall, her accommodation is kept clean. All carers and nurses are very professional and very caring when looking after my mother. They treat her with dignity and work in accordance with her best interests.

Overall satisfactory, any problems or issues that have arisen have been dealt with quickly, and effectively. The staff from the housekeepers up to the nurses have been treating family members as well as our Mam with care and compassion. They have always been there to answer any questions we may have.

My experience with the staff is excellent. Always willing to do anything you ask. Regarding medication food, she is given. The carers always give Mom time and care. And Mom always seems to be happy.

My Mother has been a resident at Perry Locks for approx. 6 months. I find the home very clean and efficient. The staff are all helpful and pleasant. My Mother is well looked after with a lot of personal care I am very pleased with the overall service from the staff and home.

The staff at Perry Locks have now looked after two of my family members with extreme care and dignity. They are exceptionally kind and take a human approach when dealing with the residents and their families.

My father was cared for in Perry Locks in an exemplary manner. Not an easy man, he was given such kind and attentive care that I felt that he was safe and looked after. He came to Perry Locks following a terminal diagnosis that he received in the hospital. Whenever there was a need, I was contacted
and kept informed as to what was happening with my father's interests at the forefront of concern. All staff, from nursing to ancillary, appeared kind and also committed to ensuring he was made comfortable. Both the food and standard of cleanliness were excellent. I am very grateful to Perry Locks.

All of the team here at Perry Locks show genuine care and commitment to the welfare and happiness of the residents. Both of my parents are here and the team have shown immense kindness in facilitating them being together as we navigate their individual health issues.
They demonstrate an interest in
who their residents are as people, the lives they have lived and the way they prefer to be treated.
Although I don't think either of my parents has been able to partake in the social events yet, it's great to know they can choose to join in if they're able to.
The admin team have also been easy and caring to work with and their kindness to me has not gone unnoticed.

Home Manager at Perry Locks, Birmingham


“Kind care to me is empowering and involving our Residents in their own care as well as promoting their dignity, health and wellbeing.”


As a Registered Adult Nurse with a BSc degree in Adult Nursing accompanied by an MSc in Public Health, Patience has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at HC-One since 2015, Patience closely shares HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Patience remarked: “My favourite thing about being a Home Manager is the ability to work closely with a group of people with different skills and talents. Having the opportunity to support and watch Colleagues develop professionally is very fulfilling to me.”


Patience has achieved much throughout her life, with one of her proudest achievements has been her career development through HC-One. Patience started as a carer in 2015 and was promoted to Senior Carer, whilst this was happening, she was also attending nursing school which allowed her to become a Unit Manager. Once Patience had completed her degrees, she became a Deputy Home Manager and now holds the Home Manager position.


Outside of work, Patience enjoys cooking for her family and spending quality time with them.
