My dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer and went into Abbey Park on 9th August 2011. We thought it would be a sad place, but it was warm and homely. Dad used to like looking out of the window at the chickens and rabbits and he looked forward to the tasty meals. Staff were always jovial and they became friends of my mum and dad. The carers would often bring a tasty treat for mum to eat too. The care dad received was excellent as the nursing staff were always one step ahead of the pain. Most importantly as a family we were able to stay with dad all day and night until dad died. Thank you to everyone at Abbey park.
