Overall Experience

My Mother came to Allesley Hall In April 2017. How refreshing it was to find a nursing home which has such high standards, and cares.

It would take far too long to itemise each individual aspect, suffice to say ALL staff give 110%. Nothing is too much trouble, cleanliness is beyond reproach, for want of a better saying 'you could eat your dinner off the floor', any spillages are immediately attended to. The cleaning staff are to be commended, as are the caring staff and nursing staff - all are readily at hand to assist.

Meals are excellent and what a choice, there is no way anyone could go hungry - if a particular meal does not suit, staff will readily find something for the resident. All residents are treated with care, compassion and dignity. Rooms are light and airy. Different activities every day. As mentioned, my Mother came in April, she is a changed woman, far happier, and very well cared for. All this is down to excellent management, and excellent staff who care about what they do

We have been so fortunate, that following a severe stroke, my mother spent the last 3 years of her life in the beautiful environment of Allesley Hall. As she was unable to speak, staff worked very closely with us to guarantee, that the care provided, was what she would have wished. This also included support from the speech therapist and the physiotherapist who worked hard to ensure that her posture and mobility did not deteriorate further. We also felt we could approach the manager and her team to raise concerns at any time, which were always dealt with promptly.

Whenever we visited, we were made welcome. There was a varied programme of activities, including memorable birthday celebrations. Although the death of a family member is sad, I have some beautiful memories of my mother’s final hours, made possible by the care and sensitivity of all the staff to her and our needs. We cannot fault the care that my mother received and the support we were given throughout the entire three years.

All staff are polite and very caring. There are lots going on for residents after lunch and food is very good. They have cakes and biscuits every day. They are looked after very well and I cannot think of anything I would want to be changed. If you want for anything like help to move my husband to a different position, it is done almost instantly. they bring tea, coffee, soft drinks all the time and we are all made very welcome.

Unfortunately, my Popsicals was only with you twelve days, but in that time, he was happy and comfortable. I found all the staff friendly and they all loved Pops.

Everyone was lovely when I lost him.

Just walking into the reception area of Allesley Hall gave a feeling of warmth and care from the people around. My husband was in palliative care for three weeks, all members of staff were efficient, kind and caring. They made my husband feel safe and comfortable. They also showed great kindness to me and allowed access at any time.

From the first contact, my friend and her family have had amazing support from all the staff at all levels. The care I have seen is second to none and as I visit at differing times I know it is not a show for my benefit but a truly caring home that has taken what was a traumatic time for us all and made it a bearable time. We have watched my friend improve in so many ways and this is all due to the care and attention she receives.

I cannot praise the staff at Allesley Hall highly enough. My mum is better cared for since she came here than she has been for years, at home or in hospital. All the staff, at every level, are kind and caring towards my mum and always friendly and welcoming to visitors. The rooms, setting and activities are super, the food is delicious and plentiful. It is such a weight off my mind to know mum is being cared for, physically, mentally and socially and being encouraged to participate and socialise. Her physical and mental health are so much improved since she moved in. I am absolutely delighted mum is here and I would recommend the home most highly to anyone.

Thank you so much to ALL the staff.

Allesley Hall comes up trumps again! My husbands condition has deteriorated and the response at the home as usual was prompt and helpful. He has been transferred to a more suitable room which has been more helpful to increased needs. Well done and thank you to all staff for making my husbands life better. You're the best.

The staff are very caring and help my brother out all the time. They are always checking on him as he stays in his room most of the day. They do a lot of activities but he keeps himself in his room.

My father was admitted to Allesley Hall in March 2016. He was quite poorly and needed nursing care. He had previously lived a supported but independent life in his own home. The care given to my father at Allesley Hall was exceptional. He flourished within days of his arrival there and it felt as though he had been there for many weeks. Those caring for him also got to know him very well in a short space of time and it was a great comfort for my sister and myself, knowing his every need would be catered for.

My father moved into Allesley Hall on 18 March 2016.

The care shown by everyone was excellent. All of his care needs were catered for to the highest standard. Every concern was immediately dealt with and my dad was treated with the greatest of care and respect. He was very comfortable and I was always made very welcome on my visits to Allesley Hall. I felt very confident that dad was well cared for when I was not with him. This gave me great comfort.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

My sister has been a resident since October 2004. During her stay to date the manager who previously worked at the home then took over as manager is a caring professional nurse who goes beyond what's necessary to provide excellent care to my sister. The nursing staff are caring, professional and all know my sister well and again provide me with comfort that when I'm not able to visit, they are looking after her well. The home environment is excellent and the grounds maintained well.
