We knew as soon as we saw Allesley Hall we didn't need to view any other nursing homes. The atmosphere amongst staff was upbeat and friendly. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect place for my mother-in-law to spend her final weeks. ALL members of staff were always approachable and accommodating. Thank
you.

I cannot rate this home highly enough.
My mother entered Allesley Hall in a very ill and weakened state, so much so that my father stayed with her on her second night there as it was felt that my mum wouldn't make it through the night. However, I feel it is entirely down to the care my mum has been
given, she is making great progress and is gradually gaining weight (a gram at a time but it is still a gain) and is feeling much better. On top of this, the home has also cared for my father's well being and I can't thank them enough. My parents are both in their 80's and whilst being separated at the end of my mum's life isn't ideal Allesley has provided a home away from home for them, offering support and comfort whilst being upbeat and cheerful they have earned my utmost admiration.
The rooms themselves are a little dated but clean and comfortable. Mum was well enough to spend some time at a recent fete there and had a good time listening to the band. Thank you, Allesley Hall!

My dear wife was in the care of the staff at Allesley Hall for the last few months of her life. From the outset, we were made to feel most welcome by thoughtful and caring staff who always had a ready smile and gave quality time and attention to my wife's needs. All staff, nurses, carers, catering and
housekeeping, admin and management has the same caring attitude. Over and above the daily care need there was always a good range of activities for residents and visitors to enjoy. Visiting staff eg SALT, had the same caring attitude and the Chaplin was a great support and comfort. I was also impressed by the careful record keeping of nurses and carers.

There are not enough words to describe how utterly grateful I am to all of the staff at Allesley Hall, they made a very difficult journey so much more bearable, they did this with love, care and consistency not only providing flawless care for my dad but supporting and guiding us as a family too.
I
am indebted.
Many thanks and gratitude in abundance.

I can not praise the staff enough for their care, warmth, professionalism, patience and humour. My mother could not have received better care and we her family, could not have been made to feel more welcomed. The garden fetes and daily activities all added to the wonderful service provided at this amazing
home. My mother was treated with immense respect and dignity at the end of her life and I thank all of the staff from the bottom of my heart, on her behalf and remain in awe of them all.

The staff at Allesley Hall gave excellent palliative care and friendship to my father in the last couple of months of his life. He was happy there and enjoyed the food and activities, as well as the company of other residents. In his last few days, we were able to be with Dad around the clock, which
was so important to us. We were all treated with dignity, care and kindness. Thank you.

The care home is excellent and staff are very caring. My Mother-in-law has only British tastes in food and so a number of foreign dishes on the menu are not suitable. This is our only complaint.
Reply from Bernie Parrott, Home Manager at Allesley HallThank you for the lovely compliments regarding the care your Mother-in-law is receiving and also for the feedback regarding choice of food; this will be discussed with the Chef to ensure we can offer your Mother-in-law a menu that she will enjoy more.

My mum recently passed here and I can honestly say that although she was there for a short time, the care and support that she received was amazing. Everyone involved in mum's care looked not only after her but her family as well, when we were there all day and night we were given food and drinks and
lots of support. This was at all levels from the domestic staff to the manager, if you are looking for a place for your loved ones then I would highly recommend Allesley Hall without hesitation. I would like to thank you all for looking after my mum with care, dignity and respect.

Allesley Hall is a wonderful nursing home. My father was in there for the last 14 months until his death on the 30th of November 2017. He appreciated the care and consideration of all the staff and always said his care was excellent in all areas. On the afternoon of his death, the staff were very supportive
and kind to both my dad and myself which was very comforting. I would recommend Allesley Hall to anyone seeking a place for a loved one.

My brother has complex needs due to his learning difficulties and has required an increased level of care. We, as a family, are very impressed with how well the staff at Allesley Hall have quickly learnt to anticipate and interpret what my brother requires. This in turn, has, in our opinion, helped
to prevent his fluctuating conditions from deteriorating.

The care provided is exemplary.

My wife's room was decorated to celebrate her birthday. Staff went out of their way to help make it a memorable day, including giving her a bouquet of flowers and baking a massive cake with candles. I cannot praise them all enough and it made not only her day, by mine, her two daughters, granddaughters,
sisters and brother who also visited her and commented as above. Many many thanks.

My Mother came to Allesley Hall In April 2017. How refreshing it was to find a nursing home which has such high standards, and cares.

It would take far too long to itemise each individual aspect, suffice to say ALL staff give 110%. Nothing is too much trouble, cleanliness is beyond reproach, for

want of a better saying 'you could eat your dinner off the floor', any spillages are immediately attended to. The cleaning staff are to be commended, as are the caring staff and nursing staff - all are readily at hand to assist.

Meals are excellent and what a choice, there is no way anyone could go hungry - if a particular meal does not suit, staff will readily find something for the resident. All residents are treated with care, compassion and dignity. Rooms are light and airy. Different activities every day. As mentioned, my Mother came in April, she is a changed woman, far happier, and very well cared for. All this is down to excellent management, and excellent staff who care about what they do

We have been so fortunate, that following a severe stroke, my mother spent the last 3 years of her life in the beautiful environment of Allesley Hall. As she was unable to speak, staff worked very closely with us to guarantee, that the care provided, was what she would have wished. This also included
support from the speech therapist and the physiotherapist who worked hard to ensure that her posture and mobility did not deteriorate further. We also felt we could approach the manager and her team to raise concerns at any time, which were always dealt with promptly.

Whenever we visited, we were made welcome. There was a varied programme of activities, including memorable birthday celebrations. Although the death of a family member is sad, I have some beautiful memories of my mother’s final hours, made possible by the care and sensitivity of all the staff to her and our needs. We cannot fault the care that my mother received and the support we were given throughout the entire three years.

All staff are polite and very caring. There are lots going on for residents after lunch and food is very good. They have cakes and biscuits every day. They are looked after very well and I cannot think of anything I would want to be changed. If you want for anything like help to move my husband to a
different position, it is done almost instantly. they bring tea, coffee, soft drinks all the time and we are all made very welcome.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.920)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.920) out of 10 for Allesley Hall is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 33 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.920 for Allesley Hall is calculated as follows: ( (357 Excellents x 5) + (29 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 387 Ratings = 4.92
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Allesley Hall is based on 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 45 registered maximum number of service users is 9, which has been reached with 33 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
