I cannot praise the staff enough for the way they have looked after my brother since he has been a resident. On my many visits, I have been met with nothing but smiles and helpfulness from them even in the busy stressful times. Keep up the good work guys especially through these more difficult times, I hope you know how much your caring is appreciated.

The team here looked after my old mum exceptionally well. Very homely and welcoming environment. The whole team were there right from the start, showing a genuine interest in my mum as an individual. Every time I visited I was greeted with a smile and always had confidence that the staff were doing what they could to give my mum the best care.

Mum is very content here and is looked after very well. The carers are very kind and thoughtful. There are activities for her to join in with when she wishes.

Like all care homes, they have to balance income and services. This one does better than most in this respect.

From the initial assessment with the manager, until he left the home, I was extremely happy with the way he was looked after, by staff and management. He was unhappy about needing care, but with everyone's help, he settled in quite quickly. I cannot thank the management and staff enough for the care given during his stay. The manager herself was very caring and professional throughout.

Thank you very much for looking after my husband with a lot of care. Very friendly staff. His room is airy and bright but with too much furniture. I wish that I could have picked smaller furniture because his room was so small, he didn't need his wardrobe. The carers struggled to get him into his wheelchair. I wrote a letter with my appreciation and my concerns to the Chief Executive as Four Seasons. I hope to hear from him soon.

As a family, we could not have wished for anywhere better. Mother was in her 90's and had lost her way in life, so we will be forever grateful to all the management and staff and other relatives that made her life more easier.

Although my beloved mum was only at the home for a very short time the care and attention we received went above and beyond our expectations. Mum loved her cosy, prettily decorated room, mum was offered her favourite foods. All the staff without exception were very caring and kind and so friendly.

The amount of bad publicity that care homes have been getting lately. When mum was moved from hospital to Keresley Wood Care Home, we have been pleasantly surprised the amount of care she has had here from management, nurses, cleaners and cooking staff and of course brilliant care staff. Anything we have asked has been dealt with fairly and quickly and we would recommend Keresley Wood Care Home to anybody. I also think the management staff should be there all the time in case of any problems.

Since the new manager and assistant manager have come here the place seems to have lifted. The staff have changed so much, they smile when you see them. They look more enthusiastic about their work.
My uncle wanted to move a few months ago before things changed. We would like to say a very big thank you to the management and carers for all the help and understanding which you have shown my relative.

I don't think people say thank you enough to people who do jobs like you do.

Kay Forster
Kay ForsterJob Title:Registered ManagerJoined: 2019

Hello, I'm the Registered Manager at Ashfield House.

My journey at Ashfield House began in 2019 when I joined the team as a Care Assistant. Since then, I've been fortunate to progress through a variety of roles, including Senior Carer and an administrative position within the office. These experiences have given me a thorough understanding of every aspect of the home and the high standards of care we provide.

In July 2022, I was proud to take on the role of Manager, and in October 2022 I successfully completed my CQC registration interview to become the Registered Manager.

I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, which has helped me develop the knowledge and skills to lead our dedicated team. I am passionate about creating a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where residents receive person-centred care and are treated with dignity, kindness, and respect.

Having grown within Ashfield House, I understand what makes our home so special, and I am committed to supporting both our residents and staff to ensure we continue to provide the highest quality of care.
