Dovedale Court Care Home

I'm happy with the care I receive. The home is lovely to live in and the care is good.

My mum is very happy and settled here. There are lots of activities and singers coming to Dovedale Court Care Home which she loves. The carers are really friendly and considerate to mum.

If I had to come to home later in life, here is the place for me. All the staff work so hard but more importantly they truly care. It is not just a job, a life choice and they all deserve more. Maybe if a government official sadly spends a week here, maybe they will be more appreciative in what they all do.

You could not wish for a better home for a loved one. Staff excellent and make all visits a treat. If there is a better home than this it must be run by angels above.

I have always found the staff very helpful and understanding of my grandmother's needs. They were very good at helping her to settle into her room and the routine of everyday life here. They are also encouraging her to join in with any activities without being overbearing. They have been very good with her. She is looked after very well.

My mother was resident at Dovedale Court Care Home from November 2016, initially in the residential unit, moving to nursing care in February 2017. Our experience of the care she received in both units was very positive, she was treated with respect and staff went out of their way to try to meet her individual needs. Staff in both units were warm and friendly and seemed genuinely interested and caring towards her and supportive of us, her family. She passed away there on 31/03/17 and in death, their concern for her dignity continued.

My mother was only in Dovedale for just over 12 months. Unfortunately, she passed away on there on the 21/1/17 but in the 12 months she was there, with the illness she had, she was extremely well looked after and cared for by the members of staff.

I do not know what I would have done without them. They are all a credit to you.

Excellent service but expensive.

We visited several other care homes within the region before deciding on Dovedale Court but from the moment we walked in the door the feeling we got from the staff and residents was great. The care plan was very detailed and the explanation of everything was clear and easily understood before proceeding. I would thoroughly recommend Dovedale Court for all a persons needs it would be home from home and everything a person could want for their loved one.

Having little experience of care homes, the staff were exceptional, they were there for the resident and the family and made you feel at ease. The rooms were adequate, we unfortunately experienced losing someone at this home and the care, tenderness and dignity they gave was outstanding.

I am a resident at Dovedale Court. I am very happy with the care I receive, the staff are always very friendly and they chat with me. Staff were very welcoming when I first came to Dovedale and they helped me to settle in. It was a nervous time for me but they helped me to settle now I don't want to go anywhere else. The food here at Dovedale is really nice and well presented.

I feel that Dovedale Court do a good job of looking after my mother who can be challenging at times. The staff are always courteous and friendly and there is a happy atmosphere around the property.

We have been extremely happy with the care and attention our mother continually receives. The staff here- from admin to nursing- are like our extended family. We know they are always for us as well as looking after our mother. We cannot praise them enough and highly recommend Dovedale Court to everyone.
