Richmond Hall carries out a high standard of care within homely and comfortable surroundings, supporting residents to achieve their maximum potential and independence from a friendly team of staff while tailoring care packages that suit the individual.

A qualified team takes the opinions of residents and their loved ones seriously, whilst keeping regular assessments of any developing needs.

Many specialist needs can be supported, such as Parkinson's, stroke care and sensory impairments.

Richmond Hall has a separate Dementia Unit which offers secure and sensitive care. Staff are fully trained in dementia care and are supported by the local mental health team.

Richmond Hall offers a wide variety of activities and entertainment, including 1:1 sessions, movies in the cinema room and visiting entertainers.

Richmond Hall was given a 'GOOD' report by CQC when they visited in April 2016. CQC visited again in January 2019 and again Richmond Hall was recognised as 'GOOD' in the report.

My dad has been a resident at Richmond Hall Care Home since March 2020, firstly on residential care and then on full-time nursing care. Throughout his stay, staff across all roles have been wonderful. They have become part of the family and the expertise among the nursing and senior care staff is excellent.
They were there when Dad passed away and nothing was too much trouble; we were all treated with respect and consideration and I will never forget the personal support I received at that difficult time.

A care home which gives true meaning to the word 'care'. At all levels, the management and staff are committed to the wellbeing of their residents. Nothing is too much trouble and I would definitely have no hesitation in recommending Richmond Hall to others in need of high quality care.

Mum was admitted to Richmond Hall following a fall which resulted in a fractured pelvis. She spent just over four weeks there before moving to a home nearer to where she used to live.
The staff were extremely caring and helpful. They were able to sort out mums medical issues very efficiently and professionally.
Mum was happy with her care despite difficult restrictions in place due to Covid which meant she was only allowed one designated visitor and activities were restricted and she was sad to leave

My mum stayed at Richmond Hall for 5-weeks, before transferring to a care home nearer to where I live. The nursing care she received was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and caring. I couldn't fault the home. I wish she was back there!

My mum moved into Richmond Hall as a temporary measure in January 2020 due to health issues. She was soon so happy there that she decided to stay permanently. She is always happy and relaxed when I see her and for the first time in years, I am completely confident that she is safe and cared for. She
says that all the staff treat her as a person. During the pandemic, things have not been easy but staff have done everything they can to make residents' lives as good as possible. We enjoyed regular video calls when we were not able to visit and the management has kept us regularly updated. I never thought I would let my mum live in a care home but it has given her a new lease of life, where she no longer has to struggle. I am constantly grateful for the excellent care she receives.

My mother has been a resident at Richmond Hall for two years. I cannot speak highly enough about this home. My mother is extremely well cared for and content. All of the staff are friendly, caring and respectful. I know from experience that they go above and beyond what is expected of them. Communication

This Care Home is a wonderful find for my mom. The care is excellent and the staff treats all residents with family love and care, kindness, and respect which is shown by all of the staff. The home feels happy, clean and well run. Mom came into the home non-responsive, a curled-up human who we thought
was at the end of her life. Twelve months on she is awake, aware and looking very healthy which I know is down to the care and attitude of this wonderful, brilliant care home and all the lovely staff who work there.

The manager and the team were brilliant in looking after my mom for the last 3 months of her life. They couldn't have done more for her. My dad and I were extremely happy with the level of care provided and how this was made personal. Nothing was too much trouble, especially in these COVID related times
and I would be happy to recommend Richmond Hall as a safe, caring environment to anyone thinking of housing their parents/wives/husbands at this home.

The carers can't do enough for the residents and treat them as a family. They are kind, caring, loving and always go above and beyond. My grandmother was treated with kindness, dignity and as an individual during her time here.

An amazing, caring, loving home full of wonderful staff who treat the residents with dignity and love. They also care deeply about the families and do all they can to reassure and inform you. My mother was cared for so lovingly the staff became my extended family. I can honestly say if your mum or dad

My father-in-law has been a very happy resident of Richmond Hall. In the past week, he has needed end of life care and he has been treated with love, respect, dignity and the utmost care.
As his relatives, we have been given compassion, support and care.
The staff are a marvellous team and I cannot
recommend them more highly.

I've been living here at Richmond Hall for approximately two and a half years in a lovely room overlooking the gardens and fish pond.
I never thought that in my nineties I would have the opportunity to make new friends in a beautiful stately home, surrounded by helpful staff who cater to my needs.
We
have a fantastic entertainment manager who organises pampering days, movie afternoons, crossword puzzles, singers and musicians.
My favourite is playing bingo and going to our hairdresser who comes once a week.
The kitchen staff are also very friendly and come to us daily with the next day's menu choice.

Karen Beale

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2007

Karen has managed Richmond Hall since it opened in 2008 and is passionate about the care for the elderly. This is one of two services Karen manages. Karen's dedication is unmatched as a home manager, she takes on the role of a person of support, guidance and counselling for her staff; nothing is ever too much to ask.


As a qualified nurse, Karen recognises the importance of quality nursing care and works to maintain high standards within the home. Care of the Elderly has been Karen's focus since the beginning of her carer and has worked with older people for over 30 years.


Personally, Karen has a love of horses and her new Bulldog. She has three children and two grandchildren. Karen is proud that one of her daughters has followed in her footsteps and is now a qualified Mental health Nurse.

Sasha Beale

Job Title: Unit Manager and registered mental health nurse Joined: 2021

Sasha is the unit manager of Strawberry Fields dementia unit located on the first floor of the home. Sasha has been a qualified nurse for over a year now and has previously worked in a senior career before returning to her new role after completing her studies.


The unit manager has responsibilities to overview all care for residents living at the home on this unit. This includes their physical and mental health/wellbeing. Medication, GP reviews, general observations, wound care and mental health reviews. Each individual is treated using a person-centred approach to meet all their holistic needs whilst staying at Richmond Hall either permanently, respite or most recently D2A placements.


A favourite quote from our unit manager is " Individuals who have dementia have not approached the end of their life but instead started a new stage in their life we must adapt to ensure they can live a fulfilled life"

Linda Boylan

Job Title: Support Manager Joined: 2010

Linda has been working at the home for several years where she began a career in the previous ICT Unit and was promoted to Care co-ordinator. The ICT Unit had stopped and Linda was promoted to the role of Support Manager she works between both floors dementia and general.


Linda has built good working relationships with other professionals and liaises brilliantly with other families. She is a Train the trainer in moving and handling, she, therefore, trains all staff who work at Richmond Hall to ensure safe and effective moving and handling skills are practised and maintained. Linda is a link worker for infection control with our local hospital Walsall Manor. Part of her role is to assist management to interview new staff, provide training, give care standards packages for new beginners who have no qualifications in care, completing audits.


Linda is a very keen karaoke singer and can often be found singing and entertaining our residents. She also took time during 'lockdown' due to covid restrictions to broaden her abilities and step up as the hairdresser at the home, Linda loves to make others happy and laugh.

Ros Harding

Job Title: Unit Manager and Registered General Nurse Joined: 2008

Ros is the unit manager for the general unit located on the ground and lower ground floor. Ros worked in the home in 2008 as a nurse caring for the elderly. She had previously completed her district training also and worked in the community for some time.


The unit manager has responsibilities to overview all care for residents living at the home on this unit. This includes their physical and mental health/wellbeing. Medication, GP reviews, general observations, wound care and mental health reviews. Each resident has their needs tailored to meet their personal needs, views and beliefs to ensure our care is person-centred.


Ros loves her holidays away, especially in the countryside where it is quiet. She also likes karaoke her favourite song being dancing queen.
