The home was extremely accommodating when we required an emergency placement, for my Nan. The whole staffing team, have been amazing, kind and caring towards my Nan and making sure the transition from Home to the Care Home went smoothly and made sure my Nan was comfortable and content in being there. As a family, we couldn't ask for a better care home and staff!

My Mother was sent here by Hereford CC after she was in hospital. Mum was a resident here for 13 days.
In that time I saw the grounds were beautiful, the reception very friendly. Unfortunately, the nursing is not!
Being end of life my Mother should have had almost hourly monitoring. On Saturday, 21 March, my Niece visited around 5.00 pm to find Mum covered in dried vomit, over her face, body, clothes and bed clothes. Her syringe driver was bleeping indicating it was either empty or dislodged.

Mum had vomited her lunch and by records no-one had checked on her for nearly 3 hours and no one had heard her cries for help! My niece raised alarms and although Mum was cleaned up, she was given oral med which she again vomited. She was in agony and my Niece could find no-one to help. That evening Mum died. I have heard several negative reports from talking to people. The CQC report 2022 shows the Home needs improvement because of an accident that happened. Nothing has changed!

My wife is currently a resident of Brockhampton Court. She is someone who is entering her very last days with us. The atmosphere within the home is quiet and peaceful yet everyone is friendly and efficient. One could not wish for a better place to end your days.

Brockhampton Court is a lovely care home with friendly, caring staff who treat residents with respect and kindness. It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and provides excellent care. Food is amazing after hiring new talented chefs and nice to see the same familiar faces from the care team day in day out. Highly recommended.

I love volunteering at Brockhampton Court especially this time of year.
The residents have been very busy making a ginger bread village, Christmas wreaths, Christmas cards and decorations.

Brockhampton Court has a lovely welcoming atmosphere with kind and friendly staff, which is extremely important, especially this time of year when lots of people can feel alone.

Beautiful home which is always kept well maintained and clean, in addition to being surrounded by glorious grounds which are also well maintained. Lovely private room and very well appointed.
Extremely kind and caring staff throughout the home who work exceptionally well together supporting each other as needed. The response to any issues raised is always positive and action is taken to resolve any issues.
Food varied and well balanced and good to now have two chefs on board. Also good to have more permanent carers joining the team after a bit of an hiatus after the new ownership a year ago.

In summary it's a very special home.

What was a fantastic home is in a state of decline since being aquired by Spring Care. There is now a sever shortage of staff giving rise to a reliance on agency staff. The remaing permanent staff are excellent but the agency staff are often very poor. Weekends and nights are particularly bad. The kitchen has not had a chef for over a year. Meals are very poorly planned and executed usually agency staff or sometimes even the home manager typical menu - ham, egg & chips or fish cake, chips & peas.
Outside entertainers almost totally cut out by Spring Care.

To sum up - Spring Care more interested in profit than care.

Brockhampton Court Care Home was independently owned until 1st October 2024. It has now been taken over by Springcare Ltd. Previously, it couldn't be faulted but sadly, standards have rapidly declined since the takeover. Quality of food has declined with cheap meats served in place of a variety of good quality ones, and lack of variety . Care staff have had wages cut and are now leaving - some had been there as long as twenty years. Activity budget has been cut to so many weekly activities have now become monthly. Telephones have not been working for over a week now. So sad when it was such a happy home for my mum before.

Mum was only in Brockhampton Court a few months before she passed away. The facilities and the staff in the home were exceptional in meeting Mum's needs when, at times she was challenging. They were also very supportive of us and helped in any way they could. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brockhampton, in all respects.

My experience of this nursing home is that the staff are caring and helpful to cater for my mother's needs, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic. We, as a family, have regular updates about her health and news relating to the home.

With the questions, I never tick a box that is marked excellent. Excellent implies perfection which does not exist. Subject to this, I cannot imagine a better care home than Brockhampton. I have described it as a four-star hotel with 24-hour nursing care thrown in. My only criticism would be that meals in the rooms do not always arrive hot. This is because the kitchen is a long way from rooms in the new wing.

Brockhampton Court Nursing Home is in a league of its own - the facilities are superb and the staff magnificent. My Father, who was extremely ill when he arrived in April, has rallied magnificently and is now almost back to his old self. He is 91 years old and had lived completely independently since my Mother died in 2019 but he loves living at Brockhampton and does not wish to return home - he says he really feels loved and cherished where he is. We can visit whenever we wish and can take him out for visits home or for a meal - he can even have his very old springer spaniel visit him in his room. My Father has been able to personalise his room with any items he is attached to - photographs, a small fridge, and even his computer from home! As a family we are always made to feel welcome when we visit, are kept in touch with Newsletters, etc and can talk to staff if we are concerned about anything.

Brockhampton Court Care Home is a beautiful old house situated in lovely gardens and parkland where residents are encouraged to enjoy. It is a very happy place and the staff are wonderful, very kind and cheerful although not or two might need a little more training in how to deal with 'grumpy old men'! Brockhampton Court is privately owned.
