Brompton House Care Home

My Mum stayed at Brompton House for two weeks partly as a break and partly as a plan to look at care home options for the longer term. The team at Brompton House have been excellent in making the initial arrangements to everyone who looked after Mum during her stay. She enjoyed the activities and I always felt welcome when I visited too. It is a really great team who were always there when Mum needed them, but not intrusive. The location in Broadway is a massive bonus.

My temporary residence at Brompton House covered just over 6 weeks while recovering from a broken ankle. I have found it to be comfortable and friendly and it met my needs in all ways until I was able to go home.

My husband is being cared for two days a week at Brompton House. He is well cared for. He has a nurse 1-1 each morning and she provides information, books and activities for him she will walk with him to the village. All the staff help with him. He is happy there. I am very pleased with everything at the home.

Fantastic staff. All really caring and accommodating. Always pleasant and professional. Would have no problems recommending Brompton to others.

I have lived at Brompton House for about three years. I have found staff and friends. Food is quite suitable and to my taste - very rarely need to complain. The staff are ideal, helpful kind and as far as I am concerned, will help in any way necessary.

My mother was resident for almost 2 years prior to her death in December 2017. The care home staff and nurses gave mum exceptional care, with a degree of kindness, compassion and affection way beyond their job description. These acts of kindness are very much appreciated. The care home staff continue to support us, the family, after mum's sad passing. The staff are to be highly commended.

My mother is settled and happy. She is treated with care, kindness and the nursing is good. The family are always welcomed and encouraged to be involved. Recent improvements in maintenance are welcome but sometimes meals are not up to standard. Activities are enjoyable and help residents to socialise and keep active. We are glad that mum is living at Brompton House.

My mother has been at Brompton House for nearly 2 years now. She is extremely happy and loves all the attention from staff. She also enjoys the activities and tells me how busy she is. The atmosphere is more like a hotel with kind and respectful staff where nothing is too much trouble for them. The residents have good meals in a gracious dining room and can also order snacks anytime they feel hungry. I feel very comfortable that my mother is being looked after well and is enjoying a good quality of life.

The major positive comment is the excellent communication between senior management and staff at all levels and the family. This has steadily improved over the past 18 months to an all-time excellent. Mother and all the family are treated with great respect and courtesy at all times: even when I had to stay overnight because my mother was seriously ill, the night staff and catering were brilliant.

On mum's 100th birthday, the staff (including catering) were excellent. A designated member of staff was assigned to plan and coordinate a very successful party with me.

I cannot comment on "activities " because mum is not now involved, so have given "satisfactory "

When mother took a turn for the worse she decided to stay full time after, she suffered a stroke. The care mother received at Brompton House was extremely good by kid caring people.

I have found here some excellent service. The staff are efficient, kind and easily accessible. The food is well cooked with variety and helpful chefs and hostess. I find pressing the yellow button makes 24 hour service very easy. The 24 hour service of this kind is excellent. I feel that the worse thing that hit me was the feeling of being imprisoned after a long and professional traveling career.
