When we arrive, the staff are always very welcoming and friendly. We are often offered drinks with the residents. My overall opinion is that the staff treat the residents with dignity and are always very caring towards them. My uncle seems very happy to be here.

As a registered nurse with over thirty years of nursing home experience, I can honestly say my dad's care was exceptional and how nursing homes should be.

He was safe and happy. The kindness staff showed Dad and all of us, both when he was a resident and his last few hours and then after he had passed, was amazing. Thank you. I would most definitely recommend Brindley Manor Nursing Home.

I didn't know such a wonderful, caring nursing home existed due to a lot of bad press in the media. The cleanliness and professionalism of your staff shone through from day one. I really felt that all of you genuinely cared about my mum and she felt a sense of belonging. I can't thank you enough, you should be very proud of the standards you uphold.

My Dad was a resident for two years. He was happy and well cared for by the excellent care staff.
Nothing was too much trouble for them and he had high praise for them. They are friendly professionals and they always greeted you with smiles. They allowed us to bring in his dog to visit which meant the world to him. He had lovely room which was comfortable and was always clean.
I would highly recommend Brindley Manor Nursing Home if you need to choose somewhere for your loved one. Dad had made friends with other residents and it lovely to see them laughing together.
I cannot thank the staff enough for making my Dad happy and comfortable.

Thank you to all the staff for caring for Dad so well.

Our cousin was transferred to Brindley Manor Nursing Home as part of her end-of-life care. The home is clean and well-organised but most importantly, it is kind and considerate to both residents and their visitors.

We could not fault this lovely nursing home.

The home is bright and cheerful and staff are friendly and welcoming to visitors. Although difficult at first, my friend seems much happier now and takes part in activities. He has a pleasant room, looks clean and tidy and is getting to know the staff who are kind and supportive.

My mum came to Brindley Manor Nursing Home in May 2023 until she passed in April this year. The management and all staff were very caring and kept me up to date with any changes, nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was very happy, everyone worked hard and rooms were clean. I cannot recommend Brindley Manor enough, I was very pleased that Mum was placed here. Thank you to everyone for looking after Mum so well.

The overall experience has been good - excellent. The staff are always polite and considerate, very professional and appear to be respectful of the residents. The food seems to satisfy my relative and he is supported well as he needs assistance when eating, due to weakness and potential choking.

I have noticed on the odd weekend visit that sometimes the staff can be a little loud, shouting down corridors rather than talking. Whether this is because the manager is away, I don't know. However, generally a positive experience.

My husband is bedbound and has been at Brindley Manor Nursing Home for eighteen months and has been kept free from bed sores. He is incontinent but kept very clean. Staff take time to talk to him and feed him. He has dementia but is spoken to with respect. His wishes are honoured that he does not wish to be moved to see the activities/entertainment but they bring the petting dog to see him. We are always welcome to visit him.

Can't fault the staff from start to finish, my mum has dementia. My mum has been in Brindley Manor for 5 weeks after the main carer my dad was rushed into hospital and the previous care home I chose could not cope with her condition and was not allowed to stop there. After 1 phone call staff in the office at Brindley Manor made arrangements for my mum to have an assessment and begin her respite care until my dad was able to have my mum home to care for her. The home allowed us to visit all the time, kept me up-to-date with any issues and was always greeted by staff when I visited by name. My mum was relaxed as much as she could be as a 72 with dementia. Great place, great staff and helped me when I needed the help the most.

Julie Wagstaffe

I enjoy my job. I like devising new dishes and menus. I get great satisfaction out of seeing our residents enjoy their food with lots of flavour, texture, etc. and introducing residents to dishes that they may not have tried before.

It's nice being part of a team where we all look out for each other. And can work whilst being able to laugh, which in turn makes Brindley Manor a more relaxed, happy and calm home for the residents.

Meldwyn Mills
Meldwyn MillsJob Title:HandymanJoined: 2016

Mel's official title is "Handyman" but he is in many ways so much more! Mel makes sure the home is safe and is on hand to fix any issues. Residents and family will also interact with him as he loves to help with adding touches to Resident rooms so they become more personal spaces and more like a home away from home. That could be pictured on the walls or fitting a new TV! He is wonderfully cheerful with a lovely sense of humour that the Residents and Staff all appreciate.
