The team at Brindley Manor were very helpful and caring throughout the process of my dad going there in his final days. The facilities are excellent and it is a peaceful place. They made a very difficult situation as easy as possible and my dad passed away peacefully. I know he was comfortable there.

The staff are lovely kind and caring.
We needed an emergency respite, from the minute we came and looked around the staff have been nothing but helpful we can't thank them enough.

The rooms are clean and tidy, there are activities that residents can join in with if they would like.

My Mom has recently entered into the care of Brindley Manor.
From the start, the staff have made my Mom and us as a family very welcome and have accommodated my mom's needs and wishes.
The home is well-presented, clean, welcoming, well equipped and cared for.
All the staff are friendly, polite, kind, attentive and always look very smart and presentable.
My mom's room is bright and airy and all equipment and areas are kept clean and well maintained.
My mom always kept clean and clean clothes and her dog gory maintained.
Meals are nice, very well thought out, fresh, hot, well-balanced, and good portions.
I have been kept informed of my mom's health condition, and changes in her health plans and health status, and feel that the home is supported by the Health Care Team fully.

After much apprehension about my Mom needing to enter a nursing home, I have felt very assured and pleased with the care my Mom and we as a family have received.

Brindley Manor staff care for my mother as if she were their own family. They are always there for her, medical, personal and emotional needs. It isn't a nursing home, it's my mum's proper 'home' in every sense. We will never look elsewhere for Mum's care!

The care home has made us feel very welcome since the day of admission. The staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble for them. Te detail to personal care is excellent and this gives a warm, homely feel to the atmosphere which has been so important to our relative as he continues his rehabilitation.

We're very pleased with Brindley Manor. The staff are very polite, welcoming and obliging. Nothing is too much trouble and they keep us updated regarding physio and well-being of our brother-in-law. The meals are excellent and plentiful. The rooms are very comfy and warm. We're grateful for the kitchen facilities to make a drink and offer of biscuits, cereal and toast. Excellent care home, I would highly recommend it.

Overall Experience

During Mum's stay until she passed, roughly 15 months, she was always well cared for, kept clean and her needs were met. Mum was very happy at Brindley Manor. Nurses kept me updated on any changes and staff were wonderfully kind, caring and compassionate. Rooms were clean and a happy atmosphere surrounded the home. Activities and visits from singers or animals plus the therapy dog was always engaging along with regular parties held for residents. Staff were always welcoming no matter what time I visited and nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff. Knowing Mum was happy where she was and that she was well cared for made her passing a lot easier to deal with. I would highly recommend Brindley Manor to anyone. Thank you to all the staff, you are a wonderful team.

Very impressed with this care home and I’m so pleased my mum came here. The management and staff are very welcoming and friendly, it just feels like one big family. I can see she is well cared for. Thank you to everyone who takes care of Mum as I know she can be stubborn most of the time.

Review from Lisa W (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 December 2023 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mother has been a resident since June 2023. The home itself is clean and is being updated with new furnishings. The staff are all helpful and work hard.
I feel the home would benefit from more staff, especially in the evenings and weekends. Personally, I do not feel there is enough staff to manage the number of residents. There are difficulties with the language barrier with some of the nursing/caring staff. This can make communication difficult and frustrating for the residents.
The equipment in the home to manoeuvre residents to the bathroom is available but is shared between three floors and this can cause frustration. For example, when a resident needs the bathroom they may have to wait up to 45 mins because equipment is not available for staff to use so accidents occur.

The food appears to be okay but again the lack of staff can mean that those residents that need help with eating are left relying on relatives to feed them. However, relatives can't be there daily.

I enjoy my job. I like devising new dishes and menus. I get great satisfaction out of seeing our residents enjoy their food with lots of flavour, texture, etc. and introducing residents to dishes that they may not have tried before.

It's nice being part of a team where we all look out for each other. And can work whilst being able to laugh, which in turn makes Brindley Manor a more relaxed, happy and calm home for the residents.

Meldwyn Mills

Mel's official title is "Handyman" but he is in many ways so much more! Mel makes sure the home is safe and is on hand to fix any issues. Residents and family will also interact with him as he loves to help with adding touches to Resident rooms so they become more personal spaces and more like a home away from home. That could be pictured on the walls or fitting a new TV! He is wonderfully cheerful with a lovely sense of humour that the Residents and Staff all appreciate.
