Overall Experience
Visited with a patient to assess his suitability. We were both blown away by the space, the quality of the environment and the caring and attentive attitude of the staff. The patient was so keen that he was admitted the next day. I have now visited four times, and each time, I have been impressed by the standard of the accommodation and staff care. There is a lovely member of staff who helps patients communicate and organise activities. I think it also benefits from a large part of the building being purpose-built.

I am very impressed, and I have recommended Brindley Manor to several friends and professional colleagues.

My 93-year-old uncle was transferred from hospital for end-of-life care. We didn't choose the home, he was automatically transferred there but what a blessing that was. From the moment he arrived, the communication was excellent and he was treated with the highest level of care, dignity and genuine compassion. All of the staff at Brindley Manor Nursing Home are wonderful, from the office to the senior nurses to the care staff. They made a difficult time so much more bearable and I can never thank them enough.

Overall Experience
My nana has recently moved into Brindley Manor as she now requires additional care due to having dementia.
The staff are wonderful, friendly, caring and welcoming to residents and their families.
There are different activities that residents can join in with each day, ranging from the therapy dog coming into singing to a pantomime, exercise to music and crafts.
The home is clean and well-maintained, and redecoration of one of the lounges is currently taking place.

Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and they keep us updated on how my nana has been each time we visit and have telephoned us to check that we are happy with the care and if there is anything we would like to know or that they could do.

There is always a friendly welcome at the door, and everywhere is clean and bright. The staff on duty are very attentive and approachable. My uncle is happy and settled here. He has choices, looks great and is in fine form whenever I visit. Massive credit, and thanks to all the team at Brindley!

From the first day my mother was moved to Brindley Manor Nursing Home from hospital for end-of-life care, I could not wish for a better home for her. I was notified by them of my mother's arrival and kept informed of how she was until I went to visit her. Communication from them was excellent. The staff were friendly, always there for me with a smile on their faces. The rooms are very clean with up-to-date decor. Although it had been my mother's wish to stay at home, she said she was happy and content to be at Brindley Manor because of the staff and care she received. As a family, I can't thank them enough for their care and support that they gave us right up until her death.

Mother has been cared for at Brindley for several months. The home appears to be well managed and maintains good levels of communication with excellent record keeping. The staff seem very caring and attentive, and a local doctor maintains regular contact. The home looks well-maintained and is nicely decorated.

I'm so impressed with the care and attention shown to all of the residents that I've witnessed.
My mother in law is quite challenging and the staff manage her brilliantly and engage her with activities that she loves.
All of the staff are fabulous, and they all know each resident by name, even the maintenance and laundry staff.
My mother in law is cared for with dignity and compassion.

We're so grateful to the team at Brindley Manor Nursing Home for keeping her safe.

My father has been a resident of Brindley Manor since January 2020. All through this time, he has received loving care from all of his carers. During his early time here, his dementia caused him sometimes to be an awkward resident. The staff were always understanding and always cared for him in a very professional manner. I have felt there is very much an atmosphere of one big family. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brindley Manor for a loved one.

Could not fault the care given to our mum and to the rest of the family. We were always made to feel welcome whenever we visited, whatever time it was. The domestic staff also made time to have little chats with Mum and to assist her with anything they were able to. Mum was treated with respect and dignity during the time she was there.

Reply from Sumaiyah Arshad-Khan, Operations Director at Brindley Manor Nursing Home

We are so pleased to hear that the staff would take the time to speak to your mum - we know it is these little things that can make all the difference. It is also really good to know she was treated with the respect and dignity she so deserved.

Overall experience of Mom living at Brindley Manor although short, was excellent. The room was clean and fully equipped. We were told before admission that she'd be bedbound but they managed to get her sitting up. Mom was admitted on palliative care and the staff were caring, extremely compassionate and treated Mom with total dignity. Communication was good and staff were very friendly and supportive of family members experiencing a sad time. The staff genuinely cared for Mom and she knew this in her final days.

Reply from Sumaiyah Arshad-Khan, Operations Director at Brindley Manor Nursing Home

We are so pleased to hear that your Mom's experience was an excellent one and that she was comfortable enough to be able to get out of bed and enjoy the activities on offer. It is so important to us that we provide care in a compassionate and dignified way and we are therefore pleased to learn that this was the case with your Mom. Wishing you and your family all the best.

I have to say, for the short time my mother was in Brindley Manor, the care and compassion by all members of staff to my mother, was fantastic. Everything was done with care, dignity and compassion to both her and the members of the family. I put n/a for the activities due to the fact she couldn't participate in any.

I enjoy my job. I like devising new dishes and menus. I get great satisfaction out of seeing our residents enjoy their food with lots of flavour, texture, etc. and introducing residents to dishes that they may not have tried before.

It's nice being part of a team where we all look out for each other. And can work whilst being able to laugh, which in turn makes Brindley Manor a more relaxed, happy and calm home for the residents.

Meldwyn Mills
Meldwyn MillsJob Title:HandymanJoined: 2016

Mel's official title is "Handyman" but he is in many ways so much more! Mel makes sure the home is safe and is on hand to fix any issues. Residents and family will also interact with him as he loves to help with adding touches to Resident rooms so they become more personal spaces and more like a home away from home. That could be pictured on the walls or fitting a new TV! He is wonderfully cheerful with a lovely sense of humour that the Residents and Staff all appreciate.
