My mother has been a resident at Rashwood since December 2019 following a stroke resulting in weakness on one side and severe speech impairment. The nursing staff and carers have always treated her with love, care, dignity and respect. In return, she displays a great fondness towards them.
She has
been bed-bound for a while now, resulting in finding it difficult to socialise with other residents or partake in group activities, but she has enjoyed a visit to a local playgroup and does have one-to-one sessions in her room. She has also been taken for walks around the gardens with members of the social team.
Mum celebrated her 100th birthday last February and the staff went out of their way to make the day special and memorable for her and the wider family.
Everyone at Rashwood is friendly and welcoming towards all visitors and family members. You’re made to feel as though you and your loved one are part of a wider family and it is much appreciated.

My mum was looked after very well when she went in for palliative care all the staff were first class. Food was a good choice and presented very well the carers were very considerate and caring and the final day was very respectful all the the staff lined up for Mum's exit, lovely gesture.

Nothing but praise for every aspect of my mother’s care. She is happy and content and enjoys the company of other residents and staff. The atmosphere for visiting family is always friendly and we feel like we are welcome whenever we visit.

My mother has been a resident at Rashwood Care Home since February 2021. The kindness, care and courtesy shown to Mum during her time there has been amazing.
Mum said she felt safe at Rashwood.
The home is always fresh, clean, beautifully presented and very welcoming to visitors.
However, when
it came to Mum's recent end-of-life care, Rashwood came into a league of its own!
The care and professionalism were exemplary and this extended to the care and consideration given to my sister and myself too.
Thank you to absolutely everyone on the staff at Rashwood and also to visiting staff too, especially the reverend.
Rashwood is a very special place, long may it continue to provide such exemplary care and service.

Mum was at Rashwood Care Home for only two weeks for her end of life care. I can truly say her care was nothing but amazing and the staff were wonderful, not only to Mum, but to us as a family. Their care and attention was second to none. Thank you Rashwood.

Mum came into Rashwood Care Home initially for respite and decided to stay. It was a difficult decision for her, and she often rejected help, but staff were always patient and attentive and she knew how lucky she was to be provided with both beautiful surroundings and such high quality care. Since
September 2022, when she became bedridden through illness and required both oxygen and nursing on the Pink Wing, its staff were dedicated to providing for her needs and carers would often try her with several breakfast choices as her appetite declined for example, while those who had known her from Green wing would chat with her on their own time. Moreover, they have been so supportive of Mum’s family too and I cannot thank them enough. In her last weeks they kept us connected and I’m certain that Mum lived as long as she did because of the meticulous standards of their care. They knew her and appreciated her for all her feistiness - for which I am very grateful.

My mother was a resident in Rashwood Care Home for nearly 5 years. I cannot speak more highly of the care and compassion she received in this time. The staff from the manager down to the wonderful carers was the best she could have had in a 5-star hotel. We felt she was safe and extremely well cared
for. We could not speak more highly of the care she received.

The care home looked after my aunt extremely well. The hygiene was excellent, and the cuisine was first class too. All the staff were caring, friendly and professional. Alarm calls were answered very promptly.
The surroundings are beautiful. Residents are able to feed the birds and watch the wildlife
as well as admire the peacocks, so tame they would eat from your hand.

Level of welcome and care was fantastic. Took note of my father's needs and gave very high quality care. Room facilities were good, air bed made the stay more comfortable. The carers were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble.

Simply a great care home. Wonderful staff who really care about the residents, remembering habits and preferences as well as caring for residents similarly to a friend or relative rather than a carer. Excellent food, a great range of activities and pastimes, and very clean and beautiful views.

After hip surgery, I went into the care home for two weeks of respite before going home. I found the staff very helpful and pleasant at all times.

We were extremely satisfied with the quality of the end of life care provided to my father. From the initial assessment to the final moments and after, everybody at Rashwood Care Home from management to carers to cleaners was great. Caring, understanding and flexible. The grounds are beautiful and very
well maintained. Although Dad's ability to enjoy the food was already impaired by the time he arrived, the staff did an excellent job of catering to his needs.
We have experience with another local care home and the comparison to Rashwood is night and day. We would very strongly recommend Rashwood Care Home.

Rashwood Care Home is an exceptional care home. Located in an idyllic setting, it offers a unique experience to residents and their families. The manager and her team offer a professional, caring yet individual experience to all residents and are accessible and supportive to their families. This week
we had a lovely birthday get-together with my sister in one of the home's lounges. Busy staff stopped to greet us like old friends and took time out to organise coffee and ensure that we had all that we required. We felt like guests in a top hotel! Thank you Rashwood for all you do and all that you have done for our family during the past difficult two years since my sister moved in.

91-year-old mother respite care for two weeks - first ever experience. You need to rethink your support for respite care - no advance information before arrival, had I not asked for it (assessment appointment is not enough). More support should be given to someone passing through to help their brief
time in situ. For example, encourage them to join activities, check them realise they don't have to have supper in the room every night.
PS. She loathed the bed.

My mother has been a resident at Rashwood for several years. However, she was diagnosed with an extremely debilitating illness prior to moving into the scheme.
I can easily say that she has received the very best of care in the time and thank the management and lovely staff for their expertise and
understanding in care and best practice. Their attention to detail, friendship and always accommodating nature in these critical times for the family is truly welcome.
