Over the coronavirus pandemic, the home has managed the situation very well and taken care to keep the infection away from the residents by following strict government guidelines and following social distancing. We are extremely grateful that these measures have kept mum safe and well.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Rashwood as a wonderful place for your loved one to spend their twilight years - it's a real treasure.
Thank you for your kind review- I'm so pleased your Mum is so settled and happy.
Incredible care provided for my Grandmother. The staff are exceptional and go above and beyond. I couldn’t wish for my Grandmother to be in a better place. Thank you to everyone at Rashwood for your kindness and compassion.
Thank you for your very kind review of Rashwood. I am very proud of the staff.
It is a very nice place to be if this level of care is needed, the staff work hard at making life as normal and enjoyable as possible.
Thank you for your kind words - it's always a team effort, everyone plays their part in trying to ensure the residents are happy here.
All the staff in every area are absolutely fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. It is a joy to be here.
Thank you for your very kind review. Your connections to Rashwood go a long way back I know, and I'm sure it's been nice to see some of the same staff still here from when we looked after your mother.
Mum made some friends and loved the music and other activities put on by the home. It is down to the strict isolation and care that has allowed Rashwood residents to survive the COVID 19 pandemic. Although Mum has missed the social interaction during this time the carers have been very kind and Mum has told me how she gets on well with all the caring staff.
I can thoroughly recommend this home as it has a family feel, good food according to Mum and lovely grounds with a resident peacock. Thank you Rashwood for keeping Mum safe and content.
Thank you for your kind review. I feel assured that we have 'got things right' during this very trying and stressful time.
My grandad spent time in Rashwood for respite following a knee replacement. Unfortunately during that period of time my nan also died. The care and compassion that everybody there showed to my grandad and the family was exceptional. He couldn't have been in a better place at such an upsetting time. I cannot thank everybody enough, from the reception staff, cleaners, handyman, health care assistants, nurses and entertainment staff. You all do an incredible job.
Thank you for the very kind review, it was a pleasure to look after your Grandad and it is lovely that he returns regularly to see and have lunch with his friends here.
I have had the pleasure of visiting Rashwood at least weekly for over three years. The care at all levels is excellent including the extras such as entertainment and hairdressers. The staff keep you informed and are quick to respond when there is sudden deterioration. I would thoroughly recommend the nursing care.
This is "home" for my father.
The staff are most helpful.
Thank you for your response. We are very proud of the care we deliver here at Rashwood.
My mother moved into Rashwood Care Home residential wing in May 2018. We were very pleased with the overall impression and its excellent grounds. Unfortunately, for her own health reasons, she was unable to take full advantage of the range of activities or fully use the available facilities. Following a stroke, she moved into the nursing wing until her death a week later. It was at that point that the care and support became excellent. I cannot praise the staff enough for the support they gave me at such a difficult time.
Pleasant, relaxing and caring environment.
A very friendly and homely atmosphere with a very efficient and helpful staff.
Charming, very caring staff. Very comfortable bed. Cannot find any fault.
As you enter Rashwood Care Home there is always much happiness amongst staff and are always ready to be of assistance if needed. The care and kindness given to residents is excellent and they are treated with dignity. Rooms are bright and always clean. The food which has a very good selective menu and caters for all needs well presented and could not be better. There are various activities for residents and outings which are enjoyed. The standard of care and nursing is all you could wish for.
They are very professional in everything they undertake and do it with empathy and respect.
I feel blessed that my mum, who deserves the best, is spending her last days in such a lovely environment.
The experience was alright just for one week. Now I have gone home again.
Rashwood has exceeded all expectations. It was a worry finding the right place owing to the complexity of the needs, but I’m delighted.
The nursing staff are skilled and knowledgeable. The carers are helpful, kind, and answer promptly when needed. The cleaners are thorough, the food is lovely, the managerial and administrative teams are very professional. The grounds and buildings are pristine and the social staff and activities are the bonus I’d never realised we needed. Everyone is friendly and goes the extra mile to ensure mum is safe, cared for and happy.
The nursing and carers have been simply superb keeping us informed at all times of doctors visits, medicines etc. The food is excellent, nutritious and very well present. The rooms are all beautifully furnished and immaculate at all times.
The manager and her staff should be very proud of their nursing home. There is also quite a lot of events arranged daily. I would not hesitate in recommending Rashwood Care Home.
I can't ever thank all the staff enough nurses, carers and all the other people who's hard work contribute to make it such a pleasant, comfortable and caring environment. I felt nothing was ever too much trouble. I am particularly grateful for their support to make dads last few difficult weeks comfortable and pain fress and their support of us as a family too.
It's the little things that matter that add up to make a very big difference.
My father in law was a resident at Rashwood Care Home from December 2016 until October 2017.
During this time he was lovingly cared for both by the nursing staff and carers.
I cannot praise highly enough the devotion of all the staff to caring for my father in law throughout his stay and I will be eternally grateful to the entire staff.
