Whilst at Tutnall Hall for respite our mother was treated with care and dignity. Her needs were well met and the staff looking after her were attentive and kind. The food and cleanliness were very good and she enjoyed the activities laid on by the staff. As visitors, we were always made most welcome
and could visit at any time. We felt assured that our mother has been very well cared for and would recommend Tutnall Hall to others.

Having had more experience in recent years with this establishment, I can confirm Tutnall hall is first class. Genuine, caring, qualified staff where nothing is too much trouble, with equally good medical care from Bromsgrove.

My father was treated with the utmost patience, compassion and dignity throughout the last seven months of his life at this exceptional care home.

Without exception, every member of staff contributed to the extremely high quality of care my father received and I am truly grateful for all their genuine

love and kindness towards him. They were highly professional and hard working at all times and nothing was ever too much trouble. They are an amazing team and it was always such a comfort to know he was in such safe hands, well cared for and happy. Highly recommended.

During my short stay at Tutnall Hall it has been very interesting, they have been very good with the standard of care and overall support and cleanliness in all departments. They have looked at every detail in care and support, I have been treated very well in all departments and all the staff are really
friendly and help you in every way they can, which can be difficult at times. Management seem very nice people at explaining illness which has to be sorted out during the early days. The rooms were lovely. I hope this will help you, thank you.

I visit my father about 2x weekly and find the home to be of a good standard. Dad seems happy living at Tutnall Hall and has settled in well. The activities are very good as they involve all the residence in any activities, be it singing, making cards etc.
I feel dad is safe and well looked after and
staff and management keep me informed of anything to do with or involve my dad straight away.

The care provided to my mother has always been of a very high standard. Her carers are always very communicative and very respectful to her. There is little or no turnover of staff which indicates a happy working environment. Mum always responds very positively to the carers and nursing staff. There
is a good relationship with the assigned GP practice and good communication.

The staff at Tutnall Hall are kind, considerate and caring and really help residents to settle into their new environment. The ongoing care is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. They include the family in their care too which is really reassuring when relatives are worried and anxious. Mum spent
6 months at Tutnall Hall and she had wonderful care. Her final days were calm and she was made comfortable which was wonderfully reassuring to us. I cannot thank the team at Tutnall Hall enough.

Mum has really enjoyed the recent activities. The home has made great efforts to mark seasonal events eg.Halloween and bonfire night and is already well ahead in preparing decorations for Christmas. Mum loves doing the art and craft activities. She loved the indoor fireworks on bonfire night even though
she's normally not very keen on fireworks! The home is always warm, the food is excellent; mum is putting on the weight she lost during her illness and looks forward to mealtimes once again. She is thriving and we are very heartened to see the improvement she has made.

I would offer praise to the staff who cared for my mother during her 3 months stay. All staff were aware of my mothers needs and recognised visitors by name on most occasions. Records were open to view and nursing staff had the time to spend discussing my mothers situation. Management were very helpful
throughout gaining support with the NHS system.

This is the third care/nursing home my mother has been a resident in. I obviously saved the best until the last. Tutnall Hall is outstanding in every way. I took 3 weeks off work and visited every care/nursing home in the Bromsgrove area, that I felt would finally be suitable. Superlative standards
of nursing, care, compassion, hygiene, knowledge, comfort, food and drinks. They have, and continue to demonstrate a clear understanding of what care should be. Their administrator organised the smooth transfer and has eliminated the stress of this for both of us. Thank you.

It is impossible to fully express the friendly approach the staff at Tutnall Hall have and show to everyone they come into contact with in the care of their busy shifts. It's as though you become a part of a larger family, a very special family. Nothing is too much trouble. My late wife experienced
this belonging as did I, everyone is "special" and nothing is too much trouble. Owners and management can be proud of their achievement and prestige shown to all.

My wife aged 93 was very well looked after at Tutnall. After 10 years of dementia, I went to a number of care homes and found that Tutnall was by far, a much better home in North Worcester. The staff are so helpful and kind.

Experience so far satisfactory, but would appreciate more work done to possibly give me more interaction with other residents. I would like feed back on things, i.e replacement wheelchair.
Reply from Kamal Khan, Director at Tutnall Hall Nursing HomeThank you for the feedback. Just a quick update to say that Roger is now able to sit in the Lounge and this will now allow him to interact with the other residents. We are also progressing replacement of Roger's wheelchair with the appropriate authorities (as this is not in our direct control).

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.999)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.999) out of 10 for Tutnall Hall Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 139 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 139 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.999 for Tutnall Hall Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (1665 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 1667 Ratings = 4.999
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Tutnall Hall Nursing Home is based on 139 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 registered maximum number of service users is 8, which has been reached with 139 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
