St George’s Park Nursing Home offers exceptional nursing, palliative and specialist dementia care to residents from across the West Midlands.

The home is located within the peaceful residential area of St. George’s, but is also close to the popular town of Telford with a bustling high street and many nearby amenities, many of which can be easily accessed as St. George’s Park is on the local bus route.

The 2 individual units within the home are split across 2 very specialised floors, ensuring that every resident receives the exact level of high quality care they require 24hrs/day, regardless of how specific their needs are. St. George’s Park has a real person-centred approach and the dedicated care team support individuality, allowing each resident to achieve their potential and enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle.

Accommodation throughout the home is luxurious yet practical, with care having been taken to make the individual bedrooms, and the communal areas, comfortable, appealing and stimulating. To ensure that residents feel at home and settled they are also encouraged to bring items of furniture and treasured possessions to personalise their surroundings.

St. George’s Park has a very welcoming atmosphere and friends and family often join in with the host of in-house activities which have been designed to cater for existing hobbies and interests – and to stimulate some new ones too. There are well-established links with the local community and the home often receives visits and concerts from the neighbouring schoolchildren and services from the local churches for those who want to join in.

Flexibility with meal types, sizes and even the location where they are eaten means that the home can allow for the wishes and dietary needs of every individual, regardless of their condition. Always fresh and of the highest quality, the meals and snacks are enjoyed by residents, friends and family alike.

My husband has been at St George's Park nursing home since beginning of May 25 after I could no longer cope with him at home. He had severe dementia. I think the care he received was excellent from all the staff. They were so kind and caring nothing was too much trouble for them. The staff across the
board always had a cheery smile and a kind word when passing martyns door whether bringing fresh clothes food or drink or just popping their head around the door. As my husband became very poorly they always kept me updated as to what was going on and we're very honest with me towards the end. My husband died with dignity knowing he was loved and the staff were amazing I can't thank them enough.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (10.000)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (10.000) out of 10 for St Georges Park Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 20 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for St Georges Park Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (238 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 238 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Georges Park Nursing Home is based on 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 70 registered maximum number of service users is 14, which has been reached with 20 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
