My brother reluctantly entered Wellington Hall Care Centre for a short period of respite care. When we went to collect him to take him home he said he wanted to stay because, in his own words, he felt safe there. We had no inkling he had felt unsafe in his own home. My brother is a gentle, quiet man who has lived all his adult life alone. It is wonderful to witness him happy and engaging with other residents and staff members. This new found engagement is attributable to gentle encouragement from various staff members. The staff are friendly but professional in their interactions with the residents and visitors alike. To know my brother is so well cared for, is happy and, in his own words, feels safe means the world to me. Thank you one and all.

My brother-in-law entered the home in August 2025 for a two week stay whilst renovations to his home were done. He was immediately made to feel welcome and at home. The staff were friendly, attentive and approachable right from day one. When the planned two week stay came to an end he surprisingly decided he wanted to make Wellington Hall Care Centre his home - a decision he has not regretted. There is a lovely atmosphere within the home, the residents seem very happy and enjoy light hearted banter with the various staff members. As visitors we are always made to feel very welcome. My thanks goes to each and every member of staff for their care.

I was transferred from hospital and am here for 4-6 weeks respite care. I cannot fault anything. The care I have recieved has been exceptional. The staff are always friendly and pleasant. Management + office staff are caring and nothing is too much trouble. Everyone here also treat my visitors the same care - which makes it easier for them knowing I'm in loving hands. Thankyou

A warm and friendly atmosphere starting at reception. My Daughter has been in Wellington Hall since November after spending several weeks in hospital on different wards. She has a complex condition which is treated with empathy and compassion from the staff and support workers. The new manager has tried to meet all her needs to make her stay more comfortable. She is encouraged to socialise and join in with the different activities provided.

My mother in law has been resident at Wellington Hall for 19 months. When she was admitted to the home she was for end of life care. She had lost weight, wasn't eating and was having frequent falls. Thanks to the dedicated staff, she is now up and about with her wheeled aid, eating well and has a renewed zest for life. The activities provided have allowed her a sense of community and she enjoys participating in these. Especially exercise sessions, scrabble, singing and being able to take communion with the visiting church minister. We cannot thank the staff enough.

It is hard to put into words how grateful we as a family are to everyone at Wellington Hall Care Home for the exceptional care, compassion, and dignity they showed Anne my mother in law during her final days.
From when we arrived, every member of staff demonstrated genuine kindness, professionalism, and an incredible attention to detail. Their priority was always Anne's comfort and wellbeing, and they went above and beyond to ensure she was cared for with dignity, warmth, and respect at every stage.
What made Wellington Hall truly special was that their care extended far beyond Anne herself. As a family, we were welcomed, supported, and comforted throughout what was an incredibly difficult time. Every visit was met with kindness, understanding, and reassurance. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and the staff's compassion helped make an emotional and challenging period more bearable for all of us.

You hear so many horror stories about care homes, but our experience at Wellington Ha

Following the recent loss of my beloved gran after her brave battle with cancer, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone at Wellington Hall. The care, kindness and compassion shown to both my gran and our family were truly exceptional.

Every member of staff treated my gran with dignity, respect and genuine warmth, ensuring she was comfortable and well cared for throughout her stay. During such a difficult time, their support meant so much to us. A special thank you to the receptionist, who went above and beyond with her kindness. She gave me flowers during a particularly emotional week, and when I arrived at the home in tears after my gran had passed away, she greeted me with a comforting hug that I will never forget. The manager and staff were always welcoming and accommodating, offering refreshments and support whenever we visited. Their compassion helped make an incredibly painful time a little easier. Thank you all

I have complex need that need a lot of specialise care and support . The home have provided me with excellent 1 to 1 support workers 24 hours a day. I have spent lots of hours having therapy from the resident dog Jarvis. I have nurse attending every seizure which can be up to 30 a day. There is excellent entertainment and we recently had a visit from farm animal on wheels.

Without this home I would be lost and alone.

An oasis of care and kindness. Mam required emergency nursing care - she was made very welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. All of her needs were anticipated, and her care was adapted accordingly with no prompting from us. WH is well run, clean, welcoming and relaxed with excellent care and genuine concern for each patient. Every patient is treated as special, individual and important. Jodie and her staff go above and beyond to help patients and their families.

In the short time our new manager has been with us the difference is amazing. The staff levels rose to a sensible level, regular visits checking all is ok for the residents.

On a personal front she has removed a couple of very 24 hours a day noise disturbances, so for the first time in a long time I can have a good night's sleep. And we can see she really cares!

Since the new management has taken over, I've personally noticed a marked improvement in how the care home is managed and run. There is now a much more positive, organised and consistent approach throughout, which is very reassuring as a family member.
The reception staff are consistently helpful, friendly and welcoming, making every visit a pleasant experience. It's clear they genuinely care and are always willing to assist.
The activities team are second to none. They go above and beyond to keep residents engaged, active and included, and-importantly, this is delivered with real consistency, which makes a noticeable difference to residents' wellbeing and day-to-day happiness.

Overall, the improvements have been significant, and the consistency in care and service is clear to see. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to others looking for a safe, caring and well-managed environment.
